Reviews in Sioux City to Remodel Small Bathrooms
ACurtis Frank Construction
He did a bathroom for me and it turned out fabulous. He is also an all around custom builder. I will definitely recommend and absolutely use him, again.

AJarnagin Construction & Handyman Service
The service arrived promptly at the hour agreed upon and quoted my bathroom. I didn't need anything fancy and the service quoted the job at a much lower amount than their competitors. I contacted other people who had hired them and they gave glowing reviews. I hired them and work started at the agreed upon date and time. The service was meticulously clean and they finished the job earlier than expected. They even came in under my budgeted amount. I cannot thank these gentlemen enough for the hard work they put in and I will definitely be telling my friends about their service.

I had ordered all cabinets, flooring, shower stall, shower doors, shower seat, faucets, grab bars, toilet, and etc, before we hired labor to do the project. Joe was in between jobs and available to start on the job within a few days. He has a full time job also , but was able to get most of the work done when he had some time off his swing shift schedule. He came whenever he could after that. When he needed to unhook the toilet, he always hooked it back up at the end of the day. (I used a portable toilet while it was unhooked.) We only have one bathroom. We were without a shower only a couple days. I feel he was very sensitive to our needs. He did a very good job. He had a friend do the spraying plaster on the wall board and we hired a"plumber" for the shower, otherwise he was able to do all the work himself. I am very pleased with the outcome. It is so muchmore helpful to me. I have difficulty getting around and have a balance disorder.

ATILE TIM Contracting
Tim gave us an estimate for replacing the 45 year old materials in our condo. He was very professional and exceptionally knowledgeable. He said that since he is a tile man and we wanted to go with sheet vinyl that he would bring in contractors with whom he regularly works to do the various projects. One gentleman would remove the existing vanity and flooring and put down new luan and install the vanity, another would take care of the plumbing and one more would do the sheet vinyl. Everything was in place and his estimate was competitive. We simply decided to go with a different contractor. In talking with him it is clear that he is incredibly well-versed in contracting and I would definitely call him again before I get other work done in my home.

I was very satisfied with my experiences with B&P Construction Co Inc. They completely re-tiled my bathroom. I heard about him through word of mouth recommendation. They perform quality work. I will use them again in the future.

Both jobs were completed beautifully and in a timely manner. The contractors were on time, and kept me apprised of the timeline and what they were doing each day. Since I only have one bathroom, it was very important to have the remodel done with minimal disruption. They worked with me so that I could still use the bathroom during the remodel.

I know I can trust him because of previous work, so I was comfortable to have him here when I was of the country. His tool were in the way during the job. This is understandable because we don't have a garage. He encountered a couple of things in the job which he had not bid, and he did some at no extra cost and others at a very reasonable rate. His work is quick, but not so quick as to be at the expense of quality. He had some problems getting the adhesive on the shower floor to dry after he tiled it, and delayed 3 days in the schedule drying it. Although it put him behind with other jobs he was doing, he was very diligent to make sure it was bone dry before he proceeded to the wall tile. I was a little unconventional with the shower, as I wanted it to be part of my man cave ultimately. I put in three heads - conventional, wand and rain, and he worked around the copper plumbing to get it exactly like I wanted it. He had not worked with a multi-head diverter before, but he installed it flawlessly. If I had been there, I would have had him hang the medicine cabinet differently, but I was able to easily remedy the situation by moving it with my son. I had delays in getting the door (special size special order) and the medicine cabinet (not stocked), so he had to come back to do them each separately, while he was in the midst of another job. The door came in first, and he came promptly at a covenient time to install it. Then the cabinet came, and he arrived the nest day to install it. I had also told him that the door didn't close right because the hinge side needed a little work, and he fixed that at the same time.

Our issue was with the bathroom remodel. A 4" protruding stub wall needed to be removed to accomodate proper installation of a triangle whirlpool tub which would allow access to the plumbing fixtures in the tub area. Wall wasn't removed as requested and tub was installed at a different angle to accomodate the size which caused a no access area for the plumbing fixtures in the event of needed leaks or repairs. Additionally, the 2 wall sides of the tub were not supported at all, which caused the caulking around the edges of the tub to pull away from the tub/wall as the bottom of the tub flexed with occupants. When asked to correct the problem, contractor only supported on of the sides through an access panel to the whirlpool motor area. As a result, the triangle corner and other wall area still "move" and cause us to have to recaulk the edge at regular intervals to prevent leakage and deterioration of the wall and floor in that area. After fighting with the contractor for 3 months and only getting a less than satisfactory repair, we gave up.

DKRISTENSEN & SONS
Initially took a few phone calls to get them to house to quote job. After looking at home it took about 2 days to get official quote. After comitting to the estimate, they did start to perform work right away. Took about 3 days to finish which was acceptable due to grout having to set, etc. After shower base was set, it was noted that there was a "bounce" in the base. As he put it, "Some give." Homeowner voiced concern. Advised by Kent that this is normal. Well......8 months later there is a crack in my shower base from where my 42 pound son stepped in. It had been getting "squishier" since original install date, almost as if the mortor bases set under the shower were not set right. Kent was called....about 5 times over 1.5 weeks before a phone call was eventually returned. He was advised of problem and said he would check it out. He showed up the next day and looked at base. He tried saying he thought something was wrong with the floor and thats why it "gave out" and cracked. (The floor had completely new 3/4" subfloor laid during remodel.) After discussion he sid he would have to go to local supplier to make sure he can still get the same matching tile since he would have to remove the bottom row to remove the base. Agreed, and he said he would be in contact. That was 1 month, and 3 phone calls ago. Pretty sure he isn't coming back to fix the job.

This contractor began the job on April 20th Feb 2015. The bathroom is where he started, between route. In the entire bathroom and left a gaping hole in my floor for three and a half weeks and a h**** feeling as well where insulation would fall on you as you were showering with four small children in the home. As old as the home is we were concerned about this however he did not look it up or clean up the mess thereafter. I consistently cleaned up that my home every time after they left it literally looks like a bomb have gone and they had to run from it each every time they left for the day. Throughout the bathroom none of my personal belongings from the shower or the closet. Scott Smith proceeded to send us all over my toothbrushes toothpaste toiletries soap in the entirety I have my personal belongings. Without having and electric and electricians license he performed electrical work on my home as well wiring work in the bathroom and on the back porch. In addition to performing their license work electrically he also did not have a license for the plumbing that he did in my home either. Good morning did he fix and the bathroom is still leaking down into my bases ruining my foundation. Cash out of pocket for supplies as we could not afford them up front and ask for a 50% deposit on all the work that was to be done prior to starting the job. He also was working with some type of occasion by giving me a cost forecast another cost if I were to pay with a check where would have to be verified through his Bank. Midway through the bathroom remodel he decided to bring in a helping hand coming extensive background check on the second party I discovered that he is a convicted felon delivering methamphetamine. As I mentioned before we have four small children in our home my husband actually witnessed a drug deal go down in my front yard. Without finishing the bathroom he moved on to the kitchen flooring we selected to have ceramic tile installed. To begin the job in for my kitchen apart it took them two weeks to lay tile floor in the kitchen that is no bigger than 50 square feet. They forgot their equipment such as thought it and used my furniture and personal belongings and ruined them with the tile back using it as a saw table leaving red soot all over my white siding. Always leaving a mess for my family and I to pick up. I've paid just over $5,000 for an incomplete bathroom and a title floor that looks like my 4 year old said it they were taking up the stove they placed it on my calendar unless it there for my family and I to find. The trailer for demolition was left for 2 months in my backyard killing my grass been moved to the front yard for my neighbors to look at for another month prior to removal. The final day they left my house such a mess and such a safety issue for my children that I asked them not to turn to my home
