Recent Review: This was a unique situation where Westside was hired by the sellers of the home I purchased to replace a broken knob. The technician arrived on-time and was very professional. He spent a few hours working on the stove, and left with the stove as he assessed it in working order. We were happy with the experience. Unfortunately, a few days later as we went to prepare our first meal, we noticed the stove was not in working order. Several burners were not responding/behaving as expected and it was essentially unusable aside from the burner the technician had worked on. As it turned out, the situation was complex - we eventually came to realize the stove had existing problems in addition to the broken knob that the sellers conveniently forgot when they stated the stove was in working order. Additionally, our home inspector and the first technician had not sufficiently tested the stove. Most of the burners worked on HIGH - but only on high - so if the other settings were not tested, the problem was missed. The grid that showed which areas of the cooktop were "ON" was also inaccurate (slightly more obvious problem? Thanks for nothing, home inspector.). After several rounds of discussions with Westside, we were fortunate to come to an acceptable resolution. Our stove works, and the technician went the extra mile of balancing our stove on its broken leg. While it did take some time and persistence to sort through the multiple issues to achieve the resolution, we left satisfied with our service and grateful for Westside's willingness to work with us. I have to mention the only reason for a B in professionalism was a canceled appointment the day after St. Patrick's day....possibly unfortunate timing, but inconvenient either way. It prolonged the issue unnecessarily.

Recent Review: Was able to schedule repair for the day following our initial call.  Repairman was on time (actually came a little early), was very efficient and professional, gladly answered our questions, and gave us some helpful tips.  Also had the necessary part in his van, which prevented the need for an additional trip.

Recent Review: There was a communivcation error in the begining. The person I talked to on the phone scheduled me for 9/11 at noon and gave me a 2 hour window. I called earlier in the day to confirm my appointment. The service guy did not come in this time frame. I called and was informed that it would be sometime this afternoon. I rescheduled for the next day. the service guy Mike was promptly at my door at 9 am. He was polite and professional. He looked at my stove and determined it to be a bad valve. I opted not for this to be serviced. He then looked at my washing machine and said I needed a lid switch. He did not have the part on his truck and went back to the shop. Service guy John returned 20 minutes later with the part and installed it. John was very polite and he did a great job. I feel that this company was good and provided a great service. I will be calling again for future appliance needs.

FSears Service Centers & Repair
Our gas stove which was originally purchased at Sears lost the ability to control the heat in the oven. Thinking that Sears could service what they sold we called Sears. The earliest appointment we could get was two weeks away "between noon and 5 PM". The initial repairman diagnosed a bad control and thermocouple. Then we were told the part would be ordered and sent to us and a second appointment was made for two weeks later "between noon and 5 PM". Before the diagnosing repairman left we had to pay for the repair in full. Two weeks later another guy showed up who could barely speak English and took two and a half hours to install the new control and thermocouple, a task he told us he was supposed to complete in 30 minutes. During his stay he cut his fingers several times and we had to supply bandaids. Finally he finished and left - it took a month to get the repair done, $270.00 and a whole day lost from work. Within three weeks after the repair the oven began spontaneously lighting on its own. We weren't going to wait another month for Sears to botch another repair so we called a local service company that told us that it was the igniter that was defective and the control probably should not have been replaced. No more Sears appliances for us!

Greg does an excellent job. We have had him work on several appliances (washer, stove and dishwasher) and have always been pleased.

I called Dan on Friday afternoon after finding out the stove we were having delivered the next day needed a different kind of outlet than what we had. Dan came out that evening after 6pm and did the work with no extra fees or charges for the rush job or after hours work. Dan was friendly and did outstanding work. We will definitely be having him do more work for us in the future.

AWestside Appliance Repair
We have hired West Side Appliance several times over the years, for appliances in 2 different houses, incl, stove repair (x2), dryer repair and vent cleaning, refrigerator repair, and washer repair. They are always professional and knowledgeable, and have always been very good about discussing options (i.e. when a repair is not needed or would not be warranted given the age and condition of the appliance). All of the repairs they have performed have worked well and needed no further adjustments/work. I will continue to hire them, and recommend them to anyone who asks. I wouldn't say they work cheaply, but having things done correctly the first time, and getting honest advice about when repairs are NOT needed is worth a lot.

AGreen's Appliance Heating & Cooling
We've used Green on two occasions. First when Sears botched a repair on a stove we purchased from Sears. The technician was prompt, courteous and had the part to repair the stove with him! (unlike others who will diagnose on the first call and make you wait until they order the part and make a second call). Our second experience was when our washer quit spinning. The quote to repair was quite reasonable considering replacment of washer transmission and clutch. But our washer was so old that parts, even rebuilt parts are not available. In both cases diagnosis of the problem was quick and accurate and the cost to repair reasonable. After our experiences with other vendors we were very pleased.
