Recent Review: CCapps came by my house as promised,  providing an estimate.  He returned as promised to perform the work.  He made some good suggestions about other work I needed done.  He told me he had a friend who could work on my dining room ceiling and he called this man.  He also gave me this man's number so I could let this man know my work schedule.  Capps returned to complete this work.  The man with whom he contracted also came to work on my dining ceiling.  Capp's work was inadequate and I later called him to re-do a portion of his work.  The work done by the sub-contractor, when dried, was inadequately applied.  In parts, no texture at all was applied to various portions of my ceiling.  When Capps cam back to re-do his work, he first tried to deny the work done by his friend whom he subcontracted with was shoddy.  He did say he would have another person come in to look at the work he tried to re-do as well as the subcontracted work.  Capps and this other contractor did come by.  This other contractor admitted the work on my dining ceiling was extremely shoddy.  Capps remarked the "lights" had been dim when he saw the work.  Capps then hired this other contractor to re-do work done by Capps as well as to re-do the dining ceiling.  When this other contractor did not show up, I contacted Capps - twice.  He said this person had been "busy" and should call him (Capps) back if this contractor did not show up in two weeks.   The contractor did not show up - ever.  Capps never returned my next 2 phone calls.  My dining ceiling still looks shoddy.  I paid another at my expense to re-do the work done by Capps.

AAnykind Handyman & Construction
The minor remodeling was the first thing he did for me. I have a space under the eaves with a door to it. For years it was just an unfinished place I used to store things I didn't care much about. When I had my roof refinished, the roofers left a big mess in it. (I wish I'd known Glen when I got my roof done!) Glen cleaned it completely out, insulated and dry-walled it, painted it and even stapled a carpet remnant down. It became a perfect clean, dry place where I could store linens, blankets, anything! (cost $150). For years I had wanted to get my wood floors refinished. I had them estimated a couple of times but the cost was so high and the people wouldn't do the stairs. Glen did two large rooms downstairs, the whole staircase, the upstairs hall and a bedroom for $2000. The work was impeccable; the floors gorgeous. The last job I'll describe is typical of Glen. He doesn't turn his nose up a little stuff that bugs you. I have an old metal railing down my front porch steps. It was loose and unsafe. He welded the loose sections together and spray painted it black for $30.

AHome Improvement 4 Less
Everything on this project has progressed smoothly from start to the current stage. There were no real hiccups that weren't easily dealt with. A wall was moved, which put a heater vent from inside to outside the bathroom. They simply cut a new hole inside the bathroom, and covered over the old vent with wood flooring - matches perfectly.   The owner, Rick, was always very upfront obout any concerns, kept me up to date on the daily progress, and where we stood financially. I was never surprised at any numbers, as I knew exactly where we were. That specifically allowed me to put this particular project on hold so that I could focus on a couple others. Had I not chosen this specific shower system, I know the project would be complete and have cost significantly less (fixtures were a large part of the expense, and not the labor or general materials). I couldn't be more satisfied with how things are progressing.  I look forward to the finished project! Excellent work, Home Improvement 4 Less!
