Recent Review: Aksarben was quick to respond to our service call and to send out a salesman to discuss new systems. There was miscommunication between the saleman and installer. We were told it would be one day to install, but it was two. The workers were generally professional. The new furnace works well, although maybe not as well as the salesman said.

Recent Review: The initial call was handled and everything went as discussed, no issues. Pricing was $87 for service call and not sure how much time? I would hope at least a bit of time. The sensor was $110 and he connected two wires. I have sense price checked similar relays at $35 I guess the balance was labor. I would like for them to break out their cost, but it is not my business. Repairs are tricky because you do not know what to price or compare. My feeling is that Standard is above average in all areas except transparency in pricing.

It went fine . Called because I received coupon in the mail. $57.00 for furnace check. Our furnace is 13 years old so I' m not shocked that something had to be replaced. Tech was very thorough. Came at 2:30 and left at 4:45. Did not have part so had to order. Two days later came back. Took 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

FStandard Heating and Air Conditioning
When installation crew arrived, we were told we couldn't actually install a 95% efficiency furnace into our house despite being sold this by the sales rep. The installation crew told us this happens quite frequently where the sales rep doesn't actually know what is possible or not, and that we should just install an 80% furnace instead. Additionally, after being told we could relocate our a/c unit, we were told we couldn't. Again, because the sales rep didn't know what he was talking about. Finally, after the sales rep arrived to discuss, we were able to find work arounds that the installation crew continued to shut down. At the end of the day, the crew was just too lazy to want to do the additional work required to instal the flue. Overall this required 2 full days of someone staying home from work when we were told  it would take 8 hours. A huge inconvenience. Today, one day after installation was completed, we woke up to water dumping into our basement from the new humidifier, a huge hole in our duct work blowing heat into our storage room, a lack of clean-up from the crew (screws everywhere, open wires hanging, etc.), and our hot water heater not working. You may be wondering, why not the hot water heater - well we actually have no idea why, but they had to replace the flue on the hot water heater for some reason, and since then it hasn't worked. Given above, we expected rapid service but after calling the office this morning, we were told we will need to once again wait around all day for them to arrive to diagnose the problem, and that the repairs will need to be done by installers so this will not happen until Monday, again another day of waiting on their team. Clearly this company sells you something to get business and then does not care about customer service beyond that. I would not recommend them, and regret not selecting another company we received a quote from.

I wanted attention paid to the humidifier on the furnace. They got that up and functional. I spent an additional $60 or something in addition to what I had paid last spring for the spring and fall service because they needed to replace the switch in the thermostat that activated the humidifier.

We found out that our humidifier had been shut down before we moved into our house. SOS hooked it back up for us and made sure all the bolts and nuts were tightened so it wouldn’t leak. The technician was very competent and courteous. He even put on booties to protect our flooring. Additionally, he checked our furnace and found a condensation leak which he fixed. We could not be more pleased with this company.

AThermal Services Inc
We had Thermal Services complete a Heating System service before Christmas and found out we didn't have a humidifier in our system and our system didn't meet code for grounding. The basic heating system service was well done and after discussing the possibilities with the two personnel sent by Thermal Services, we decided to have a humidifier installed and comply with the grounding code. Mike came out on the 26th and installed the humidifier, it took a couple of hours and grounded the system. After completing the service, Mike took some time to go over the installation and explain how the system worked. Very thorough and appreciated. The system is working fine and Mike's professional approach was appreciated.

The serviceman (Kevin) called about 20 minutes before he arrived to let me know he was en route. Arrived on time, went right to work. Most of the work was just servicing the furnace, but he did make some repairs and replaced a part on the humidifier. It had been about 4 years since any service had been performed. He answered my questions regarding ways to get more heat to certain rooms and what changes to make if I do major renovation work. He also recommended a humidifier setting.
