I contacted Poolscapes Inground Pool Specialists in March 2011, to replace the vinyl liner for my pool. Mark Alberti, the owner was recommended by a coworker. Mark came and measured my pool and left me samples of liners. I contacted him when I was ready to order the liner. The order was placed on April 6, 2011. At that time, Mark said it would take approximately 4 weeks for the new liner to come in. It took him 3 weeks to work on the coping and remove the old liner. I would contact him on a weekly basis, and at that time, he would return my calls. The liner came in mid May. He started installing it the end of May. When the installation was finally complete, I paid him the amount due. I started filling the pool, which took about 3 days, with a garden hose. After the water was at the appropriate level, I turned off the water. However, I noticed the next day that the water level was below the jets, so I had to turn off the pump. I called Mark. He sent out one of his employees to see what the problem was. He could not find a leak. So, Mark came out. He checked the pressure in the underground pipes to make sure there were no leaks. The pipes were good. Then he checked out the cutouts by the jets and skimmers. After that, he said to add more water. At that time, he said to run the pool pump with only the drain valve open. I filled up the pool, and I was out of town between June 8th -12th. My daughter house sat for me, and contacted me, to let me know that the water level was down, again. I contacted Mark, and he said he would be out to take a look. He did not come, during the time I was out of town. When I returned, I called him again. I had to leave a voice mail message. It took several days for him to return my calls. I was calling him on a daily basis. During this time, I was looking at the liner, to see if I could find the leak. I found a trianglur hole in the liner on the middle step. It definitely looked like it had been cut. Mark finally sent out his employee, and the employee said that a squirrel chewed a hole in the liner! The employee was very disrespectful and rude toward me, and I had to ask him to leave the premises. I immediately called Mark. Of course, I had to leave another voice message. After several days, Mark came out and found another hole in the step. He patched both holes, and said we would discuss the liner after the 4th of July. I was finally able to use the pool for the first time, on July 3rd. I have tried calling and texting Mark since July (He started to communicate with me by text in June). To this date, he has not returned my calls or texts. I have talked with three reputable swimming pool companies within Omaha. One has been in business for 20 years, and the other two have been in business for at least 30 years. When I asked them if they had ever had an animal chew holes in a new vinyl liner during the installation process, they all responded, with no hesitation, "no". I have also completed research on the internet. To this date, I have not been able to find any reports of an animal chewing holes in a brand new inground vinyl liner. I am very displeased with PoolScapes service, product, and workmanship.
