Recent Review: It was okay. I think they did a fine job. We were hoping that it would help get better air flow in through some of our vents because we are in a multilevel house. They weren't able to get to some of the upper bedrooms. They didn't have a tool or a piece of something that would get up there and those were the ones we were really hoping could get cleaned out. I am not really sure that they were able to do that. Other people from work and stuff has had Intek do stuff for them. Their responsiveness was fine. They were even early. They sat out on my driveway waiting.
Recent Review: They were nice. I think I may be going with them. I got two different estimates from them. The guy that came to do the plumbing was probably a C, but the guy that came for the ductwork was an A. They were both on time and very professional.

KC dropped by our house to give us an estimate and spent the time to tell us why his services were different than the other duct cleaners in town. We were really impressed with his knowledge and passion for doing work with excellence, and we hired him on the spot. On our scheduled day, the guys arrived on time. They told us exactly how they would work, when they would take lunch and they stuck to their plan. They were here from 9 am - 5 pm, and took about a half-hour lunch. They were courteous and friendly and moved furniture carefully for us and took good care of our things. Because my husband and I were both home, they asked if we had time to see what they had done mid-stream... and took the time to stop and show us the before and after on our furnace coils and vents. This was pretty interesting because we didn't know our home used to be occupied by smokers -- but our vents tell that story well - as evidenced by the red nicotine stains and sticky residue they had removed. My husband was impressed that they completely dis-assembled and thoroughly cleaned the furnace blower, fan, AC condenser and other parts - things that other vendors normally clean with a shot of air on the accessible side only. KC praised us for using a good filter, talked to us about mold and asthma and told us his own, compelling story of his special needs daughter (for whom air quality is essential). The team photo documented the before and after and the price was terrific if you consider the amount of work they did. I don't think I'd feel like an honest person if we paid them less for the work they did. I'm glad we hired them and would definitely refer people to them.

It turned out very good. They came probably a month ago. The total was $488 and he's 50 miles a way from here so he had two hours not to use time and it involved a total of ten hours, he was here for eight hours. What impressed me was the fairness and he just did a very complete job, we have got pictures of the ducts before and after and he did some other things, the great part is one of the process.

We started out with KC checking out our furnace. It had never been cleaned. He found some problems, and alerted us to everything he had found. The before and after pictures were amazing. He then did all the ductwork and cleaned out the dryer vent. Like I said, the before and after pictures were amazing. He is very thorough and does an impeccable job!!!

Took awhile for him to start the job. Once started, they ran the floor boards the east and west instead off north and south as we discussed with him for ductwork. Once he did this he said it was to late to correct that. We didn't know any better, so we moved on. This made it so that the plumbers could not run ductwork for the central air and heat to the new addition. That caused an air conditioning and heating problem. They talked us into a motel combo air and heat wall unit that leaked air and was very loud. Later we had an air conditioning and heating heat pump system put in by another company which cost us more money ($3000.00) and we had to sell the other wall unit and remove it ourselves. He patched the hole where the old motel combo air heater was. The first winter the wall corners all frosted up and were not insulated properly. The next summer the roof started to leak in the new addition upper bathroom and where the addition was attached to the garage. He said there was an ice jam and took a shovel to the roof and ruined all the shingles we found when spring came. He fixed the damaged sheetrock with no taping or regard for mold. Frustrated we hired a roofing company. They indicated that the roof was not attached to the garage correctly and the design was flaud. They had to redo 3/4 of the roof on the addition costing us $4000.00. We now have a mold problem where the roof leaked and hired a different company to replace the moldy sheetrock, mud and texture. We also found that moister resistant sheetrock was not used in the two new bath rooms. One in the basement and one on the main floor of the addition. This is costing us about another $1000.00. This has been a nightmare from start to finish. Nice guy, but he doesn't know what he is doing and doesn't seem to care about cutting corners. DO NOT HIRE HIM FOR ANY REPAIRS, YOU WILL REGRET IT and it will cost you more money to have it fixed right! There is more but you get the picture. I might be off on the timeline because there was so much going on, but I did my best to tell things in the right order.
