Business Description: I do quality work. I have operated a completely referral based business for many years. I have many repeat customers. I take great pride in my workmanship. I very rarely have calls from customers to fix or finish something after I complete a project. I encourage very energy efficient building methods.
When three other contractors failed to get going on building a stand-alone garage, we met Alan through a Home Show. He is very busy but engaged quickly and started the project. Progress was wonderful. Quality of work excellent. Keeps his word. Great attention to detail. Thinks outside the box. Rather than just building a garage on a hill by building up the hill, he came up with a way to build a basement into the garage, doubling our space. We have had him do other work (landscaping, minor interior house remodeling) and his work is all superb. With the quality of his work, we are designing a major remodel in the house. He will get it done right. He's a good man. Hire him.

AH & B Builders
Getting the blessing of the historical preservation office for our plans of a detached three-stall two story garage was the easy part. Finding a builder who would construct it? Not so easy. That's because we wanted a wide-open second story workroom free of trusses, and only one builder out of six would consider hand-framing. Besides the open space, the garage ? or carriage house, as we came to call it due to its historical accuracy ? had to have a steep roof matching that our our 1903 historic home, complete with gables. Let me put it this way: when the work was done, the city building inspector complemented H & B Builders for their beautiful hand-framing! It would not be an understatement to say that H & B Builders' Jason and Josh are a dream team: hard-working, professional, with an attention to detail and an ability to make last-minute additions painless. The fluted columns accent the carriage house and match those found on the exterior of our home is just one example of their dedication. The narrow siding to match that of our home another. The list goes on... The finished "garage" is a joy to use and to behold. And the second story quilting room that floods with sunlight through all those dormers? A dreamy space. Thanks, Jason and Josh!

DPAUL FICK HOMES INC
II had to caulk the house myself as the builders left several gaps in soffits and siding. I used 10 tubes of caulk to finish the house filling some gaps up to 1”. The house has a 3” drop from the exterior wall to the middle of the house. The basement has a dip in the middle as well as the floor supports are 2 inches shorter in the middle of the basement. If you pour water in the kitchen or basement, it runs to the middle of the house. There was no flashing put on the roof between the home and the garage. When the first hard rain came from the west (after the one year home warranty expired) they wanted to charge me for repairs. After a few threats, they came by and "fixed" the area. No shingles or siding where removed. I cannot tell what they did other than roofing caulk at the seam. They only put a thin layer of black dirt over the packed clay. In some spots, it was less than ¾” thick. After three years, I am still getting sink holes around the foundation. One of the contractors stole my Wagner Painter. It was there when I left at 9am and gone when returned at 11am. His painter did not paint the interior walls with paint, instead applying a primer mixed with paint. Areas that I have not painted are still tacky and will peel even after 3 years. Sewer backed up first night in house. Rotor Rooter man said that there are 2 90 degree bends in the sewer pipe (not code) and I will always have problems with it. Clog was rags and concrete from when basement was poured. I had to replace my sewage soaked carpet at bottom of my steps myself. The driveway has been a nightmare. The top layer of concrete is scaling off. Almost 50% of my driveway is pitted with 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep holes and patches. He claims it is from using deicer (which was not used) and I noticed that most of my neighbors have the same problem. The countertop is not put on correctly and my fridge almost does not fit in the slot. The appliance guys had to remove the base molding to get enough room and it still rubs on both sides. I was charged for upgraded carpet and pad. It is the exact same as my neighbors who did not request or pay for an upgrade. I have a two handed front door. You have to pull on the handle to look/unlock it. The millwork man said that it is adjusted as loose as it can be. I asked for Anderson windows but he said Crestline was even better. The millwork place said my windows leak and will not latch because the window frames are not square as well as the series of windows he used where the bottom of the Crestline line and will leak air because there are no adjustments on the window other than hacking away with a utility knife. The service panel is only 100 amps. That is not big enough to run the air conditioner, the stove, and the dryer at the same time. During construction of the house next to mine, they ran into my garage with the back hoe. After 3 weeks of asking about it, they tacked the wall back on and cobbled the siding back on.

AQuality Storage Buildings
I want to tell you what a wonderful job Quality Storage Buildings is doing with service as well as with the qualilty of the shed itself. I worked with Matt to order the shed and he was wonderful about answering my questions about preparation of my site and in coordinating delivery. I also worked with Jerry who delivered my shed. Jerry was very skilled in using his equipment to get the shed set in just the right place. Jerry was also kind and patient with me with regard to placement. He went above and beyond by removing my basketball hoop and placing it back into the ground when he was finished. Jerry also cut a branch off of my tree that was obstructing the placement. Because I am a single woman with no one available to help me with those things, this was very much appreciated! I felt they went above and beyond with service and the shed was worth every penny. Far better quality than anything else I had seen.

ACarlson Property Maintenance
There was more dust and dirt than I expected and at times the job took longer than expected. But, One of the crew quit in the middle of the job and I have not always been realistic about what will be the temporary mess . From what friends have shared my projects went like a dream. Overall it went very well. I found some touch ups that needed done and those were fixed in a timely manner with a good attitude. I am so glad I hired Paul and had this done.
