Recent Review: My central air unit stopped cooling so I called TMI. They got a technician out same day. He fixed the problem but said the condenser was sounding bad and didn't know how long it would last. It was installed in 1991. He was right a week later it went out. I called TMI again and they had a man out to do an estimate same day. He was friendly, I believe honest and wasn't pushy. The $70 for the service call the week before was also taken off the price of the new ac unit. So I went with them. They had 2 men out the next business day to install a central air unit. The men looked and acted very professional throughout the entire install. They had all the proper equipment and the entire instal took 4 hours and 30 minutes. It has been over 10 days since. I wanted to wait a little before I wrote a review, just in case. But I haven't had any trouble with the unit. The entire experience was very positive and everything was just as they said, no surprises. Oh there was 1 surprise... a week after the install the man who gave me the estimate on the new ac sent me a $20 gift certificate at a local restaurant.... a nice little touch.  Im sorry I don't remember the names.

Recent Review: Installers Mike and Justin did the work in my home. They did a great job! Both men were friendly, polite and professional. They did the needed work, answered any questions I had, and cleaned up after themselves. This is the qualtiy of work I've come to expect from Doug's Heating and Air Conditioning. I purchased a new furnace and central air conditioner from Doug"s a couple years ago. From day one it has been clear that quality work and excellent customer service are their top priorities.

Recent Review: The Schebler Company was extremely professional from start to finish. Charlie Crabb, equipment sales, provided all requested information and quoted several different alternatives. He also performed a heat loss/heat load calculation on the property to assure proper sizing. Mike Nelson, the installer, did a great job and takes a lot of pride in his work. Two days after installation I requested assistance from Schebler due to a health problem that I have. Charlie responded immediately, and came to my house within hours to assist with and resolve the situation. I was extremely pleased with all aspects of the project. Schebler is top notch in customer service.

Recent Review: I called on the morning of one of the hottest days and was able to secure an appointment for the same day. Due to a cancellation the appointment was even moved to an earlier time. Darin was efficient and professional and helped me to understand what the problem was. I am very pleased with the response and the service

Recent Review: Our central air conditioner stopped working in the heat of the summer. I called IM since they installed our present system years ago. An IM service person responded and advised that the present AC was not repairable and a new one was needed. A salesman arrived shortly after being summoned. Being in a bind with no AC during the hottest days of summer, I accepted his bid without getting other estimates; so I can't say if this was a fair price or not. The installation took place soon enough that we only had to spend one night at a hotel. The installation only took one day and the AC was working at the end of the day. Problem: Our furnace (purchased from IM) has a modulating gas valve, meaning that it only operates at 100% when the need for heat is great. Under normal operation, it only operates at a reduced rate, keeping the dwelling at a uniform temperature and being very quiet. During the recent AC installation, a new thermostat was installed. When I asked the salesman (no longer there) why a new one was needed, he said that the old one did not match the new AC system. When the weather got cool enough to use the furnace; I discovered that with the new thermostat, the modulating feature of the furnace did not work - it only operated at 100% all of the time. A service call confirmed this and a new thermostat was ordered. When the new one was installed the modulating feature worked well again. I received a bill for this new thermostat; but when I spoke to the IM representative, explaining that the previous thermostat worked fine and did not need to be replaced, they rescinded the charge. So, although a lack of professionalism was responsible for the thermostat being changed in the first place, a high level of professionalism resulted in the incorrect one being replaced with the correct one at no charge.

I called around 7:15 Saturday morning and left a call back number with the answering service. I got a call back before 8:00 and Tom, the technician, was at my house shortly after 9:00am, after doing a repair for another customer. He found the issue quickly, pick up the part and had the AC running less than 2 hours after he arrived. He was courteous and very professional.

During the heat wave, our central air conditioner froze up.  I called Family Heating and Cooling and they explained we were 10th on the list and they may not get to us, but they would try.  Family returned my call less than two hours later asking for directions to my home.  They showed up but a few minutes later, inspected our a/c, and found it to be frozen solid.  He explained that we had to wait for it to thaw out before he could fix it and said he'd be back in a few hours.  A few hours later, he came over to check it out, saw it was STILL frozen, and said he would return early the next morning. The following morning, we received a call from Family and said we were first on the list.  They showed up around 7:30 a.m., diagnosed the problem and had our air working in no time!  Throughout the process of getting our central air up and running, the serviceman gave us TONS of useful advice about how to help keep our air conditioner and furnace up and running from now on.
