Recent Review: I'm thinking about calling them back because they fixed the dishwasher out and the dishwasher was leaking and it's still leaking. So, we ordered a new valve. I just want to have them come out and replace it. They've actually been out twice. They did a good a good job. It's pretty expensive.

I was told by the service person that they do not maintenance my brand of dishwasher even though this information must be included in order to set up an appointment. He took the front panel off and ran the dishwasher then proceeded to open the door to the dishwasher while it was filling up which caused water to leak on to the floor. Then said it was dirty so he cleaned the bottom seal of the door. The water still leaked after that due to the seal being moved and it was wet from previously opening it (not a water tight seal), but he didn't seem to think that was an issue. He also said my water pressure was low and that is why I was getting an error. My water pressure is fine everywhere else especially since my washer is directly behind my dishwasher. He said the water line may also be kinked but didn't want to touch the dishwasher. He said he didn't know if there was enough room, yet didn't try. There is also a clear, visible 1.5 inch gap between the counter and the top of the dishwasher. I ended up pushing my dishwasher in farther because I noticed one side stuck out more than normal, and now my dishwasher works fine. Even if he had tried that, I would have been fine with paying the fee. The fact that he tried nothing but running a cycle, telling me they don't service this brand, I should have my water pressure checked, and now my dishwasher leaks every time I use it is ridiculous. They will also not give refunds for this because "that is the diagnostic fee".

Dishwasher water pump failed. Consulted Angie's List and found this company highly rated, and had used their services previously. Called on Friday Afternoon and was told to expect call either Friday night or Saturday morning. Finally we retrieved a voice mail from this company stating that he was sorry he had not called us before Sunday and believed that he could not handle this job and recommended that we find someone else for the work.

I've never ever had a positive experience with them. Before they would even send out a serviceman to look at it, they wanted a deposit over the phone for the service call. I could understand it because they have been having problems with dishwashers because they changed soap formulations. The person I dealt with on the phone to make the appointment was fine but I didn't like the person who came out to do the work. They were rude and they acted very condescending. He told me there was nothing wrong with the dishwasher and that it looked like the water softener system was down. I asked if he could recommend somebody for that and he did. I also had one little problem with the dishwasher that I told him not to repair because it was going to cost about $200 and he said that I should live with it. Every time I deal with them I am upset afterwards because I don't like the way they do business. I spent $85 and it was strictly a diagnostic fee. I hate dealing with them. I cringe every time I have something that should be taken care of by them. I wish I could find somebody else because I hate them. He did call and follow up on something. I won’t use them again if I don’t have to. It was indeed my water softener that was the problem and I had to deal with somebody else for that work.

The new valve leaked within a month. A different serviceman came out and replaced that for no charge. Now after a total of 5 months it is leaking again. They want another $199.00 to fix it since the 90 day warranty has expired. We told them to forget it, we will get a new dishwasher (not from Sears).

ARoy's Appliance Service
I call Roy's Appliance Service on Friday afternoon, March 22, and left a message. Randy called back early on Saturday and said he would be at my house between 10:00 a.m. and noon. Randy arrived at 11:00 a.m., asked what the problem was and said he'd take a look. After about half-hour or so he said it needed a new part and had already ordered it. Cost would be approximately $100; it would come in a few days and he'd be back to put it in. He called this afternoon (March28) and said the part had arrived and he would be right out. Randy did come right away and installed the part and did a test run. Everything is OK. Great service. Roy's Appliance Service cost me less that it would have if I had used the whole house insurance that the seller provided when we purchased the house.
