Recent Review: Preformed the job the day they said they would. Showed up on time, Very professional. Completed the job in a few hours. Quote was done in May and job was scheduled in August and completed.
Recent Review: The job was completely professional from start to finish. They did an excellent job. It was a full-day job starting with putting down plastic to protect the floors. Then they jackhammered the periphery, laid Waterguard, a system to drain leakage, put rocks over it and cemented the floor back, placed a protective sheet over the walls for further leakage protection, and cleaned up completely. In the process the foreman discovered a breakage in our sewer pipe and also repaired that at no extra cost.

Our retaining wall moved dramatically and damaged the siding of the lower level of our house. We removed the retaining wall and Vinzant Construction removed the old siding and replaced some of the old under-sheeting; installed new siding and weather proof the siding

I had Bacon Builders pour new basement walls for a house that I was having moved on to my acreage. They did a terrible job. Instead of taking a few extra minutes and doing the job right, they just set up the forms as fast as they could and didn't care at all that the basement walls weren't going to be where they should be. The end of my house is 27 feet, 5 inches wide. Bacon Builders knew this because I told them. Instead of taking a few extra minutes and setting up the forms correctly -- they didn't care -- they made the walls 28 feet wide !!! Now my basement walls stick out 3 1/2 inches farther on each side of my house than the walls of the house do. It looks terrible and Bacon Builders didn't care that they messed it up. They wouldn't discount the price or refund any money either..

I talked to John and he suggested I come by the job he was completing to view his work. He had just completed the tuckpointing of an apartment building and I was impressed with his attention to detail and hard work ethic.John stopped by the day after I called and gave me an estimate to do the tuckpointing on my house. John is very earnest and friendly with an easy going confidence in his work. He said that if we had to replace some bricks there would be an additional charge depending on how many bricks had to be replaced. My 1923 bungalow has wire cut bricks which are hard to find. John went around to local brickyards to find suitable replacements. However, I was able to find some spare bricks in the basement and garage which John used in the process. He replaced about 20 bricks. Before tuckpointing John suggested a powerwash of the bricks for an additional cost. This made a huge difference! I found out that my house has red/orange brick, not chocolate/brown brick. The wire cut bricks get dirty and made the house look very drab. John's crew was professional and very friendly. I bought them a bucket chicken upon completion of the job for which they were very appreciative. The house looks great! Their job was professional and completed ontime despite the inclimate weather. I would highly recommend John's Tuckpointing!

They also poured our garage floor, built a fantastic stone BBQ on the deck and created a feature, stacked stone wall in our diningroom. They give 100% accurate bids, show up on time and clean up when they leave. I've used them a number of times & have been totally satisfied each and every time!

FBix Basement Systems
I highly recommend a patron seek a structural engineer’s recommendations prior to hiring Bix Basements for any foundation issues. This small action could have saved us thousands of dollars in unnecessary work. Bix did not have an engineer evaluate our home. We had a salesperson with “basic training” determine what issues he believed to be the problem, foundation settlement. The recommended solutions did not fix our floors, and we still have mold on our basement wall. We hired a structural engineer to review our situation following Bixs inability to correct the problem. The engineer informed us that our foundation was NOT settling instead we had old, improperly sized floor joists. We have contacted Bix multiple times to find a solution but were given unkept promises. Beware that the work description and contract are viewed on a small tablet. Our contract did not specify the exact description and specifications of the work to be done. Bix Basement also has given us the run around with issues on their PolyLevel warranty.

ALA COSTE CONSTRUCTION
LaCoste Built all the walls and exterior of the House that has a 3 stall attached garage. They were always there on time if not early and they work very hard and very fast. Their work was not compromised by working fast. They did what we asked(we didn't want nails used on the floor so they used screws, no questions asked), The boss and his family came out on weekends to see the progress. Was very personable and professional. They are meeting all deadlines and are ahead of our schedule. They are not doing the siding or the roofing as I personally know how to do these things. They were willing to work with us on letting us do the work we know how to do.
