Recent Review: I can't say enough good about Atlanta Builders. They coordinated everything so well, and kept me informed. Workers showed up when promised, The owner, or his son, came by every day that there were workers here to check that things were going as planned & if I had any concerns or questions. The steps flowed smoothly, so there wasn't a long delay in getting my kitchen back up and functioning. Their invoices were very line-by-line detailed and easy to follow. Payment was divided up into 3, due as the project progressed. I will definitely call them when I'm ready to rebuild my back deck!

Recent Review: We contacted Wayne Thompson of AWT for an estimate on work for the exterior of our home. Wayne was very professional and pleasant. He was prepared to answer any questions, brought samples of materials to the initial meeting and made suggestions as we talked. We engaged AWT and the new roof and siding look beautiful; the trim very neatly applied. The gutters are sturdy and perform as promised. Likewise the windows, which are so well installed we didn?t even hear the wind howling during a recent storm, though we could clearly see the effect on the trees. Our living room has always been too dark, so we had also decided to take out the chimney and put in a bow window. Wayne suggested that, instead of the bow window, we extend the wall and add a triple window. We followed his suggestion and I am very happy with the result. We gained space in the living room and it was a less expensive option. The window is beautiful and it allows in plenty of light. We were so happy with the exterior work, we decided to go ahead with a kitchen remodel. Again, Wayne and his crew were happy to make suggestions and take our requirements into account. The kitchen lacked adequate storage space and someone suggested moving the entrance to the bedroom and framing in the former entrance. The result is a pantry that is more than four times larger than the original. In addition, AWT replaced all of the cabinets and counters and installed new appliances and lighting. The result is nothing short of breathtaking. We also had a bathtub in the master bath which was never used. We asked Wayne to take out the tub and replace it with a vanity. At the same time, we decided to replace the worn out linoleum in both bathrooms and the kitchen with tile, replace all the carpeting and repaint the entire interior of the house. As with the siding and windows, we are very pleased with the work on the interior. It?s like having a brand new house. All of the workers involved went about their jobs in a professional manner. Each was friendly and very courteous. They were always careful to keep my dogs safe and many of them happily lavished attention on them. The workers were also willing to entertain my special requests, such as installing a new doorbell. Though the nature of the work was quite varied ? running the gamut from carpentry to plumbing, Wayne was able to answer any questions we had. The workers, likewise, were clearly knowledgeable and were always willing to discuss any concerns. My only negative experience involved timing. On more than one occasion, workers were diverted from our job to another residence to handle a problem that had arisen there. I suspect that situation might have occurred no matter which company we chose, however. And it actually boosts my confidence in Wayne?s stated desire to do the best job possible. I feel very confident that, if I call with a problem, Wayne will respond promptly. Bottom line, I cannot recommend this company highly enough

Recent Review: Fantastic. Made good suggestions on work to be done with plumbing. Also performed small handyman projects about the house. Installed a Herringbone designed backsplash in marble taking great care to make it look just right, cutting many individual pieces, adding grout and completing the installation of several new appliances so that the new kitchen remodel looked amazing. At the end he cleaned up and even opted to take up additional trash from the incoming renters when he left.

I got 4 estimates and it was really close between which one I picked. I can't say anything bad about them; I just did not go with them. It was a good experience.

AJohn Wright Remodeling & Construction
We woke up on the morning of 12/21/13 to find water leaking in the laundry room from under the wall. We called John at 7:45 AM and he was at the house by 8:30 AM. With our permission, John opened the wall up and quickly found the leak. This was the first time we had used John, but it was our 4th leak in 2 years. John explained that our house was plumbed using a pipe called polybutylene. He gave us a price of $60.00 to repair the leak. After expressing concern about the number of leaks we have had, John offered a price to run all new water lines so as to prevent this issue in the future. He gave us a price that included: Run all new water lines to all fixtures and include new stops and supply lines. New water line from the water meter to the house. Repair all damaged sheetrock and paint to match as close as possible. We agreed to have him repair the original leak for $60.00 and told him we would let him know about replumbing all the water lines. We called a couple of other companies about repipe prices and were somewhat shellshocked by their prices. We called John back about noon on the same day and asked when he could do the repipe. To our surprise he said he could start the following day and assured us he could complete the job before Christmas Eve. We agreed and John presented us with a very professional contract that stated in detail what he would do. At 7:30 AM on the 22nd of December the job began and to our amazement was completed at 7:30 PM on 12/23/2013. John and his guys went out of the way to ensure the job was completed before Christmas Eve working well into the night of the 22nd. Not only was the job completed, you can't even tell where the repairs to the sheetrock were made. John had the paint matched nearly perfect. His contract stated that the paint would be matched as close as possible and that only the areas of repair would be painted. However, John completely painted the laundry room where most of the sheetrock was damaged and painted entire walls from corner to corner that were repaired. When John left the job, there was no evidence that major work had gone on for the last 2 days. I could not have been more pleased with the professionalism, quality and punctuality. I almost forgot, included in this job was the replacement of both of our tub faucet and shower faucet. After speaking with several friends who have had their housed replumbed by other companies, I am amazed at what a great deal that we got. John and hid guys did the entire job from start to finish without having to outsource any of the work and as far as my wife and I are concerned, the job could not have gone any smoother or looked any better. We are going to John come back after the first of the year to look at and bid a major kitchen remodel for us.
