Recent Review: John prefers to get a visual of the work to be performed, at which point he attempts to give you a ballpark estimate. This is helpful, and appreciated. He does this via picture mail, and prefers to converse via text, so this could be more challenging for the technology impaired. He made a point of asking that he be texted the following day at lunch time, in order to determine if he would be coming out that day (during the week). It seemed if you were contacting him towards the end of the week then he would assure you were serviced on the weekend. The back and forth to establish a time was somewhat frustrating, but once given a Saturday appointment he showed up right on time. He had hoped to replace only the cartridge in the shower valve, but ended up being unable to remove it from the valve, and instead had to replace the entire valve assembly. He moved around appointments to ensure the full service was completed immediately, and made sure the section of drywall that had to be removed was replaced, mudded, and ready to be painted. He does not work with home warranty companies, and it seemed my home warranty company would not reimburse the full amount paid, perhaps due to a lack of itemized invoice, or to the service exceeding the amount they allow for the type of service. I am not well versed in plumbling, but the repair cost did not seem astronomical in light of the amount of work to be done. Overall, I would use John again, as quality contractors seem to be lacking in this day and age.
