Recent Review: Spectacular! He was a breeze to work with. Very nice and informative. At no point did I feel like I was getting a shakedown. I also hired him to free the windows from being painted shut. However, it turned out it wasn't going to work. I have more projects to do in the future and he will be my go to guy to take care of those projects. I don't see anyone else being hired to do work on my house.

Color Works Painting
Recent Review: My wife and I love the work Brad and his crew did. Our kitchen needed a fresh coat of white paint.  The original was 15 years old and yellowing.  My original plan was to do the work myself and save some money.  It quickly became to big.  On top of that, my wife wanted the kitchen back together, painted or not before her family came in for Christmas.  I read some reviews and found Color Works. I called Brad and had him come out.  My wife and I explained what we wanted done.  The main stipulation being that everything had to be together by December 19th.  He said his people would come on Wednesday the 11th to take everything out and paint the boxes.  They would take the doors, spray the front and back, bake them then bring them back in the following Monday.  We also told him we would need to get two new doors made because I had made a modification to the kitchen.  He said he knew a person locally who makes cabinet doors so that wouldn't be a problem.  They ended up costing $30 a piece which included being cut to size and routed. His people were right on time and very courteous.  I left to go to work and when I arrived home everything was locked up nicely.  Brad called me Sunday night to say the original brush marks were really deep.  If they tried to machine sand them down, it would go into the wood, so they would need another coat of paint.  He said it wouldn't cost any additional in labor and as long as they didn't have to buy any more paint, I wouldn't be charged for it either.  Of course, I agreed.  They came in Wednesday the 18th and installed everything.  I asked if I could have the left over paint to do touch ups which he readily gave me when I gave him the check.  Since we have the older traditional style hinge, he showed me how to bump them around to even everything up.

Initially I was in no rush to get the project completed so we never set a timeline. About a week and a half after I put a 50% down payment and signed the contract i called him to see how the new cabinets he was building were coming. I needed the lower cabinets installed so the counter-top people could come by and measure... He hadn't even started on them yet, he said he would have it in a couple days. He set a day to bring it by, and on that day he called and said he couldn't make it. So i had to again reschedule the counter-top people to come measure on a different day. A week later he finally installed the lower cabinet/desk that required a counter-top. At this point it had been about 3 weeks and all he had done was built and install one 5ft long lower cabinet/desk. Throughout the 2 1/2 month job he made countless trips to my house to do one little thing each time, and would always forget to bring something he was supposed to install, or it would be the wrong item. Half the time he wouldn't show up when he said he would, but at least he would call... The quality of what he did was OK, some shelves and cubbies i had him build for the side of an upper cabinet were not all the same size. He was supposed to fill holes on the cabinets from the exposed hinges that he replaced with hidden hinges, he did a horrible job on those. He just slapped some spackle on them and sanded them real quick. After they were painted you could still see the holes through the paint, so i had to fix it myself. His brother-in-law came to paint the cabinets, they had to come out 3 different times, because the new upper cabinet wasn't completely installed, and all the new crown molding wasn't up. Everything he did took soooo long and i couldn't understand why, he was also only coming out in the evening... turns out he has a DAY JOB!!!! I believe he misrepresented himself to me, I thought he was running a legitimate business and i was basically a second priority. So after 2 1/2 months he finished, and it looked good. He honestly could have done it all in a week. To do it over again, he wasn't worth the trouble, stay away from this guy unless you like waiting.

Marcus totally upgraded my kitchen.  He arrived on time, finished in a timely way (5 days), did a final walk through to insure my satisfaction, and cleaned-up when the job was complete.  MARCUS GAVE ME MY DREAM KITCHEN.  He brought my ideas to life.

They quoted us. We accepted the price (which seemed a bit high, but we were excited to have a change in our kitchen after 15 years, so we went with it!). When the two painters arrived (only one spoke English so we only communicated with the one that spoke English, which was fine) they did not bring the necessary things required to do the job. My husband had to rummage around in our back yard to find lumber that they could rest the cabinet doors on once they were removed. Spots were missed that didn't received all three coats (primer and two coats of paint). Trash was rolled in to the paint along with a few spots where the workers hair was actually rolled in to the painted surfaces. A couple of the cabinet doors were allowed to dry while touching the drop cloth and were re-installed with fuzz along the edges that pulled away from the drop cloth. The people in the office seemed to want to be helpful and remedy the situation. They came out to our house to review the job and agreed to send a team back out to make us happy. At times it seemed as though they thought we might be asking for too much. Once, the lady from the office even intimated that she "thought" the crew that had been sent to us had painted cabinets before....she didn't seem convinced to us. They then sent one man back out to fix the problems. We pointed out the problem areas and in particular the hair!!! He said he would go to work on it. We gave it a hurried once over as he left and the office lady came back again. We were frustrated and out of time. The second "team" (one guy) had actually given the hair another coat of paint!!! We were done with these folks. We did not want them in our house again. We are fixing the issues as best we can on our own. While the office people genuinely seemed to want to "make us happy" we just didn't get happy with their performance. We would never hire this company again.
