Recent Review: We are very happy with him. He's the best we've ever had. The guy's name is Jonathan Buck and he owns the company. He does full service. He hand trims. He's a master gardener. He does a little more than what anyone would do. We just had the yard of the month, just last month, and this is the first time we've had it in fifteen years. So we are pretty excited about it. His price is slightly higher but he does a lot of work. We have contracted him for a year. We intend to renew our contract with him. I don't remember how much we spent. He does quality work. He's trust worthy. You feel comfortable having him around your home. He is licensed. I would use his services again in the future.

Recent Review: We went to Angie List earlier in the year and found ProGreen Landscape offering to do a complete landscape design at a reasonable price. They had great references and looked like a company with the skills we needed. After purchasing the design we were contacted by Todd Jennings, the company owner with over 30 years experience in landscape design and implementation. Todd came to our home and in a few days we had a complete landscape design for our property. The plan was very detailed and exactly what we needed to get started. Todd returned several times over the next few weeks and modified the design to meet our exact needs. He listened to our requests and concerns to get the plan ready for implementation. We recognized his company was the perfect match to do our project and hired them. They came on the scheduled date and worked every day excluding rain to complete the project in a timely manner. Daniel was the Project Manager and he was on site every day with at least four workers. They are a very busy company and were doing multiple projects but it was very clear that ours was a top priority and wanted to make sure to meet our needs. The work they did included removal of existing plant material, redefining bed lines, new plantings, grading, installation of a 100 Ft stacked boulder wall with steps leading to a paved stone patio with a fire pit, expanded irrigation, resoding one area, and overseeing our back yard. ProGreen is a great company with the skills and experience to meet even our demanding needs. I highly recommend them for design and implementation and will continue to use them as we do additional phases to beautify our property.

Recent Review: For the past two years, I have had the pleasure of working with Brian Finucan on a few small projects for my yard. So, when it came time for me to seek a landscape company to do a larger project, upgrading the landscape of my backyard, I only wanted Dorough Landscape to do the work. And I am very glad that I did! Brian created a beautiful landscape design and provided me with a thorough explanation of the plants he suggested as well as photos of these plants. The price was reasonable and I knew that I could save money with Dorough because it has its own nursery. The work was done in a timely and professional manner with creative solutions offered throughout the project as the need arose. The crew did a marvelous job and was a delight to have on my property. In addition, I had the pleasure of getting to know the owner, Doug Dorough, who was on site and accessible at all times. Not only did he supervise, but he did some of the planting himself. Doug is a very hard-working master gardener and a gentleman. His expertise and wisdom in this field is immeasurable. He was there for me from start to finish. Throughout the project, Doug would inform me of the progress and he provided follow-up phone calls to ensure that everything was satisfactory. Our backyard looks wonderful and it will have a lush look and feel when everything begins to grow and blossom. My husband and I are very pleased.

Recent Review: I solicited his (Brian Wilson) suggestions on designing replacement landscaping across the front of my garage and across the front of my house.  He shared his recommendations and listened to my feedback making appropriate changes.  His team did the work.  Initially I was stunned to go from mature bushes to 'baby' plantings and groundcover.  I refrained from submitting this review back in March because I wanted time for the plants to take on some size and I needed to know Wilson's response should I have questions or concerns.  It is now late September and I am pleased with the landscaping.   Also 3 of my groundcover plants died back in June and Wilson replaced them as promised in their warranty (though it took repeated contact) and they agreed this week to replace another plant that died.  So I am also pleased with their willingness to stand by their work.  Yes, I will probably use them again next year when I landscape my backyard (but I will consider paying extra for more mature plants)  and yes, I do recommend them to you.  I do not know if the cost of the work was a great price or if it was way pricey because this was my first time hiring out landscaping.  I did not get other estimates because Wilson came recommended to me by my neighbor who is a retired master gardener.

Recent Review: Scott brought a crew of three to the house at 8:30 Sunday morning, as promised, and they worked steadily until 6:30 PM with just a couple of breaks. First they transplanted over a dozen shrubs and grasses on a hillside; then they eliminated all of the weeds in various beds; then they used a weed-eater and round-up on the hillside unplanted area; then they edged all of the beds; then they cleaned up all of the debris; then they expertly spread the pine straw to dress up the gardens and discourage future weeds. It looks gorgeous - not just one or two beds, but the entire yard, front, back and sides. No wonder it took all day; it would have taken me every weekend for a month to accomplish so much. I smiled all day. Scott checked in several times by phone and in person to make sure everything was going well. I've hired garden help before, but I've never had a team work so well: careful not to pull out good plants, but quick to eliminate the weeds and stubborn Bermuda grass encroaching on the flowers; cheerfully doing every task requested;  able to give good advice when asked; working steadily as long as it took to get it right. Scott fit me into his busy schedule this week because I will have company next weekend, and as a new customer, that level of consideration was terrific. Of course, I got Ground Cover's card from my long-time trusted nursery, Triple Creek (on Banks Mill Rd. in Douglas County), so I knew he would do a good job.

Perfect. He knows everything about plants and what grows and doesn't, how to care for them, etc. Extremely nice and easy to work with. Teaches and advises the owner as he goes. Like going to master gardening school. His crew is small and have all been working for him for a very long time. They clean up everything. I recommend him for anyone wanting high-quality installation or upkeep. He simply WILL NOT DISAPPOINT YOU.

FMichaelangelo's Sustainable Landscape & Design
The tree and pampas grass removal were fine; however, the sod was laid too low and did not allow for any settling.  When I first mentioned it, Michael said it would be fine since the surrounding grass was cut higher.  It continued to sink.  I requested fabric  in all  the beds and he complied, never telling me that neither he nor his crew had ever used it before.  When I showed his crew foreman one of the first areas and how it should be done, he claimed he understood and would take care of it--it still was not done properly.  When I first met with the owner, I was quite specific in the size of the bark I wanted and warned him I was quite picky.  As I began to filter out pieces of tree limb and other large chunks of wood, the foreman stood next to me and  said that was too much work for nothing and he didn't understand why I was being so picky!  I got tired of listening to him complain and criticize me, so I told him to just dump the mulch in piles and I would spread it. The stone paving is beautiful; I'm glad Michael recommended it.  He estimated he needed 520 stones.  When the work was done, 388 stones were used, but he charged me for all 520!  When he presented his final bill, the total was over $21,000.  I went through all the quotes we both signed prior to the work, and it totaled $18,000.  When we met to settle the bill, I again complained about the sod and said it needed to be raised.  He said it was fine.  I told him I didn't appreciate his attitude toward me (as if I knew nothing about landscaping); that I was a Georgia Master Gardener.  Very sarcastically he asked how I thought it should be done and I told him.  He still refused to redo the sod.  I told him I would not pay the full amount until the sod was fixed.  He accepted the lesser payment ($4,000 less) and left. I told him that I would not give him a good review based on his work and the attitude of his crew.  He actually told me that if I had treated his men better they might have not complained and been so critical.  I provided cold water and soft drinks, donuts, and once gave them $40 for lunch!  I would hate to see their work if they had to fend for  themselves!
