Long story, shorter: negotiated equipment, contract length, price with sales rep. When contracted installation tech arrived to set up system, he didn't have some of the agreed upon equipment, and the contract read 60 months, instead of 36. I refused to sign contract since it was incorrect, and another tech had to come back to set up the "forgotten" equipment. Through monthly testing of the system on our end, we would find some windows/doors not signaling, or our remote access wouldn't work properly. We have scheduled about 6 service calls for our system since it was installed 6 months ago. Half the time, the service tech no-shows for scheduled appointments. They supposedly have 1 month to fix a problem with the system, but we've been waiting 2 months now for a tech to help us, but twice the person never showed up. I have recently called to cancel our service, and instead of trying to help us fix the system, we're told "sorry you're under a 5 year contract". Remembering, I never signed the contract on the initial installation, I pulled my copy of the service agreement and saw a forged signature where my signature should have been! I don't know how I missed it, the service tech must have signed it after I said I wouldn't because the terms weren't right. After calling both Security One, and their parent company, Safe Home, to get copies of the "contract" they have on file? I was emailed a PDF document of the agreement where the bottom signature portion is blurry. They clearly know they did something wrong. I have contacted BBB and an attorney. I do not have a 5 year contract with this company since I never signed one. The forgery alone is very telling of what type of bad business is happening here.
