NextAlarm
Recent Review: I personally think this is the best deal out there when it comes to monitoring your home via a security system. If you pay for the whole year it costs about 8.95 a month or 14.95 a month if you pay month by month. There is no contract! The reason they are so cheap is that you buy the monitoring equipment yourself either through them or through another company, and they do the monitoring of it. Most other companies give you some equipment but then you have to pay $40 a month for the next three years or some lengthy contract like that! NextAlarm lets you arm and disarm via the Internet, and provides excellent customer service. I highly recommend it!

Pinnacle Security LLC
Recent Review: Originally talked to them at a home show.  They came out and gave estimates as well as suggestions for the system.  No pressure, just a good product.  i did some shopping and came back to Pinnacle as the best value.  System works as advertized.  I eventually added a couple of additional sensors like for carbon monoxide.  Would recommend them highly.

Reviews in Grayson for Security Camera Installation

ATech1st Solutions
Tech1st Solutions was awesome and my technician Anthony did a wonderful job. I initially called Tech1st Solutions out to install cat5 cabling with the plan for me to install security cameras. The prices were so reasonable that I just let Anthony install the cameras as well. Tech1st Solutions is now part of my personal list of home improvement business. A++++++++.

It went well and it's still going fine. The company is very helpful and checks back to make sure I'm satisfied. I haven't had any problems.

Buddy Wynn initially came to the house and provided a free estimate. Ater meeting with similar companies, we relied on the reviews from Angie's and selected Wynn Technology. We were not disappointed. He and his crew were thorough, honest and efficient. They showed up on time and performed the work while staying within the original budget. More importantly, after the scheduled installation was completed successfully and paid for, they CALLED ME to schedule another visit at no cost in an attempt to fix additional preexisting problems with my system. They returned and provided trouble shooting which determined why I have been having other problems with my system for years! This was above and beyond their agreement because Buddy wanted to make sure he had done everything possible to have my security system in the best working order over and above the camera replacements. Buddy Wynn and his crew are outstanding.

We got a call from Jason pretty fast after I paid for the deal on Angie's list. We made an appointment and he did a soft credit check ( I didn't realize this was part of the deal, but it was quickly explained to me). He took about 5 hours to install our system but it works great and it is very easy. I like that I am able to arm the alarm from an app on my phone. We also got the the system w/ the cameras which is very cool. Our home was not wired with security before but there was no change in the price. We plan to add to the system later but for now we believe we got a great deal with an awesome system and service.

Long story, shorter: negotiated equipment, contract length, price with sales rep. When contracted installation tech arrived to set up system, he didn't have some of the agreed upon equipment, and the contract read 60 months, instead of 36. I refused to sign contract since it was incorrect, and another tech had to come back to set up the "forgotten" equipment. Through monthly testing of the system on our end, we would find some windows/doors not signaling, or our remote access wouldn't work properly. We have scheduled about 6 service calls for our system since it was installed 6 months ago. Half the time, the service tech no-shows for scheduled appointments. They supposedly have 1 month to fix a problem with the system, but we've been waiting 2 months now for a tech to help us, but twice the person never showed up. I have recently called to cancel our service, and instead of trying to help us fix the system, we're told "sorry you're under a 5 year contract". Remembering, I never signed the contract on the initial installation, I pulled my copy of the service agreement and saw a forged signature where my signature should have been! I don't know how I missed it, the service tech must have signed it after I said I wouldn't because the terms weren't right. After calling both Security One, and their parent company, Safe Home, to get copies of the "contract" they have on file? I was emailed a PDF document of the agreement where the bottom signature portion is blurry. They clearly know they did something wrong. I have contacted BBB and an attorney. I do not have a 5 year contract with this company since I never signed one. The forgery alone is very telling of what type of bad business is happening here.

TV had to be mounted into a stone fireplace. Very conscientious about trying to keep the mess to a minimum. Made sure TV was level and also installed our sound bar. They provided all mounting equipment. Set up new TV and showed us how to operate. Security system was installed and tested and went over how to operate. Very professional, neat and did a fantastic job!

AAckerman Security Systems
Hats off to our Ackerman Rep, Peter Ian, who not only got our indoor, wireless monitored system set up four years ago before we moved into our new home, but who stopped by last week to get us set up with a long-desired outdoor, wired camera security system. The wireless, indoor monitored system has worked magnificently and consistently all four years with Ackerman's Central Station, with their excellent array of Honeywell products. Today, installers Justin and Tim arrived on time at 8:00am on the mark and did an absolutely outstanding job with our wired camera system. The design of our two-story home, though beautiful, has so many rooflines and other oddities that I thought it would be a difficult job to run all that wiring. They made it seem like child's play and were completely done and out the door, including training and getting all our phones and devices set up, by 11:30. Cleanup was complete and the wiring was such that you'd have thought it was done when the house was built! Best of all, the quality of the camera views on our TV monitor are crisp, in color and instant. We're expecting the same tonight with its infrared, night vision views. The same goes for how sharp they are on all our phones and tablets. We are pleased beyond measure! Thanks to Peter, Justin, Tim and all the Ackerman support team!

It went horribly and I've been reliving this nightmare at least once a week since installation on 6/29/13. I spoke with a technician named Brent DeJesus in California that was required to take the overflow sales calls.  He is the one that set up my installation and that I was told to call directly on his personal extension or cell phone if I had issues since his official job is in tech support. The sales call went well (otherwise I wouldn't be in this mess) at the time. The prices were good, and he more than sold the limited features available to GA residents.  He set up my installation appt with another guy named Brent for same week installation. The installer Brent tried to accomodate the specific needs of my home, but he left before I fully understood how to work the system because his son wanted him to take him to the movies. When Brent left my house, I had no clue what date I'd be charged monthly or if the company would address the issue of me not being able to hear the lady on the keypad with the heavy British accent just in case my home was broken into. It defeats the purpose of having a system if I am in the home when the alarm goes off and can't hear the keypad upstairs tell me what's wrong.  Alarm equals panic, and who has steady enough fingers to try to log into their iphone or ipad app to find out if I someone broke a window, kicked in a door, if there's a fire, etc.  If there's someone in my home, by the time I can check that for myself, they've made it upstairs to my bedroom.  I called the technicial Brent to describe this situation to him and to find out about my billing and to make sure that the call list of phone numbers and emergency personnel was in the order that works best for my situation.  Brent assured me that he'd have customer service contact me after he got them to update my account with the things I'd requested and also get back to me about the additional equipment I'd need to fix the low volume issue.  I never heard from Brent again despite repeated phone calls and voicemail messages. They charged my credit card several weeks earlier than either of the Brents told me that they would.  They also charged a card that I specifically told Brent to use only for the purchase of the equipment and not monthly billing.  Nothing I've asked them for or to do has been done since I signed up for this service!  They just wanted the sale and to h*** with me for the next THREE YEARS I'm locked into a contract with them. Today 7/19/13, I've called them several times only to find out that they don't have my cell phone # listed as the primary # on my account so they could not locate my account using my phone number.  In the weeks I've had this system, that means if I'd had an emergency, I wouldn't know about it before I was contacted by the police in my local precinct.  I got so frustrated that I told them that I need to speak with someone about cancelling my account with them.  Everybody that's answered the phone has lied about being the manager.  They aren't some large corporation with tons of sales & customer service centers that could possibly have multiple managers.  The last lady that I was on the phone with is promising to send me an additional keypad free and to give me credits for monthly monitoring, but the headache I've had trying to deal with this thing is not even worth it. She says that she works in the Corporate Office and that those giving me the run around actually work for Security One on the sales side and are separate from her group. I'm so over it and could care less whose fault it is.  I do NOT want another three years of this.  I mean you're playing with someone's life and livelihood if you can't even get their contact information correct. If security and peace of mind (not additional worry and aggravation) are what you seek, this company may not be the one for that unfortunately. :(

I wanted someone to run the cables through the attic to the connect my outdoor security cameras. I was very happy with Shaffner's work. He was very efficient and finished the job in no time. He even sealed the holes that he drilled in the soffit.
