Recent Review: Company had good reputation going into the project and did a good job.  I was reassured that if anything was wrong they would make it right. A few month after the job was completed a few cracks appeared, and when called Victor said he was very sorry but his son was in jail, and he we baby sitting his sons children and there was no money or person to "make it right" My guess is that the business has gone OUT of business so this review may not really matter to anyone, but for me personally it was a real disappointment.

The Solution
Recent Review: My wife and I had extensive termite damage to our home in Kennesaw. I’m a little of a handyman myself, so I decided to dig into the job myself. After tearing out all the woodwork and drywall on our bay windows, and taking up part of the floor, I realized that there was more work than I had time to do. We were scheduled to have replacement windows installed the next week and there was no way I could get this done in time. Most of the studs and sheathing was either water damaged or eaten by termites. The only thing holding the bay windows up was the stucco on the front of the house. We contacted several contractors to assess the damage and give us an estimate. The quotes ran from $15,000.00 to $20,000.00 to remove the bay window structure completely from the house to repair the damage. We contacted Eddie from The Solution. He told us that he worked by the hour and that termite damage was one of his specialties. I purchased all the materials he needed and had them ready for his arrival. Eddie arrived on time as promised and started right away. I told him that we were scheduled to have replacement windows installed the next week and the openings for the windows needed to be exact. He explained what he was going to do assured me that it was not that bad. We had to leave him and his helper in our home while my wife and I went to work. He updated me throughout the day with photos and text messages. He was very clean and conscious of our home and contained the mess to just the room with the bay windows. He completed the job in three days. It would have taken me a month to do the work he did in a short time. He did a beautiful job and the cost was just $2,300.00. The window installers came the following week and the windows fit perfect. His card says "do it right the first time" and it couldn't be more accurate.

Handy People Drywall And Paint
Recent Review: Unbelievable!!!!! We are beyond thrilled with their work and service and wanted to shout it from the mountains tops and to everyone we know to get them more business. They deserve it. There are so many big companies in this town who promise the world, charge and arm and a leg then under deliver. Jack and Irene with Handy People Drywall and Paint were extremely affordable (dare we say even cheap) and were punctual, sweet, kind hearted people who run a small family business and over deliver.  This was a huge job that they did for us as the home was in very bad shape, had huge 13 foot ceilings and was 2,600 square feet. The walls were crooked to start with and they did such an incredible job that it now looks like a new home with old floors and old windows. Everything else looks brand new.  Do yourself a favor and if you need drywall work or painting give them a call.

AInvestment Painting Contractors
Len and his team were wonderful! They are pleasant, courteous, meticulous, and they worked steadily and completed all of this painting in one day. The work was of outstanding quality with thorough cleanup. Great company - I'm hiring them for another job already!

CReign Down Cleaning & Painting Services
I would not have them back for anything.  The whole experience with them was disappointing.  I had to send pictures to them of the room and the work I wanted done, and the guy finally came.  It was supposed to be for three hours even though the room didn’t need three hours, and I wasn’t impressed.  I thought I got what I paid for.

AThe Solution
Well, let me tell you! After he finished plastering the walls he cut through, he asked me if I had any holes in the wall that needed fixed. I had a hairline crack in a bathroom wall, and he used the last of the plaster to fix it for me, took him 5 mins. He did that out of the goodness of his heart. Now, here's the kicker, I was power washing the driveway while he was working, I'm 64. I was about half way done when he got finished. He said how would you like to finish that job in 10 mins ( I'd been working for 3 hrs). Of course, I said I would. He put my hose on his big ol power washer he had on his trailer and he, my brother and I took turns with it (cause now it was fun) and knocked the job out in 20 mins. No charge!!! I rarely rave about anyone, but when it's due, I do.

ADEVITA TILE SERVICE
I called Devita Tile and the owner Charles answered my call. He was able to come out to my condo the first day, I was available. I travel a lot, due to work. Charles was on time and gave me a very fair estimate. He also explained to me exactly what needed to be done, an approximate of what the materials would cost and an estimate of the labor charge. I did not call anyone else and set up a time for Charles to return, to do the work. He explained that the work needed to be completed in two days, because the plaster needed to dry completely, before replacing the tile. Due to my travel schedule during the week for work, Charles was very accommodating and told me that he would work around my schedule. Both days he performed the work, he (again) was on time and did an excellent job. He even replaced some of the grouting around other tiles (not included in the job). We told Charles that when we decide to replace our tile in the bathroom, he will have the job.

BORNAMENTAL PLASTER
This was the second time I used this service. Very happy the first time  because he came out, did the work, put everything back in place, came back in two days, checked his work, touched up any spots that may have needed additional work,  Then he called a week later to come back and check it again.  The second time he had a helper, did not mention that he had not gotten an area, he did come back when called to complete the job.  Once he returned he touched up all the spots that he saw needed additonal work, by then we had done some painting and you could see the rough spots, he smooth them over, came back the next day, sanded them down and said once we complete all the painting he would be back to look at it again for any minor corrections. I found him to be very easy to work with, serious about the quality of his work, and willing to go the extra step in guarnteeing your satisfaction with his work.  Does not mind working after hours, like 4, 6 or 7 pm.

FMark's Construction & Remodeling Co
A nightmare from start to finish. Paid contractor to do work above to help daughter with new baby. Mark said he would complete work before my family moved from apartment. He accepted payment, began work by doing demo and then did nothing for weeks. Family with infant had to move in with baby 6 weeks later and it took months after that to have a working kitchen or bath. Plumbing work was shoddy, electrical work substandard, and several old cabinets that he said he would renovate were destroyed by his shoddy work. After quoting job he would go days to weeks without communicating with my daughter, my son in law or me except when he wanted to be paid and then he would show up without warning loudly knocking at the door at 0700-0800 hrs, waking the infant and my daughter and acting menacing. I paid him off despite him not doing anything to our satisfaction just out of fear. Gas line to hot water tank leaks, work is not done to code. i have e mail saying permit was not needed when it was. flex hoses near hot water tank have to be replaced per city. Lead paint trim around windows was disturbed and then reapplied even though he said he would replace. 6 months have gone by since his three week job turned into a six month flail and cabinets and fixtures are coming apart and we have had to pay others and will continue to have to do so to correct his mistakes. just discovered that he destroyed plaster wall behind refrigerator to install water line, did not repair, and left wall outlet dangling and asbestos containing old vermiculite insulation exposed. refrigerator was put on a gfi circuit w/o informing homeowner. Beware consumer.
