Recent Review: I saw his sign on hwy 280 in Black Creek, GA.  I called the number and we set up a time to meet to discuss what type of storage building I wanted.  It took 20 minutes or so and he followed me to my home to measure it out and to help me decide on location.  He had an assortment of colors to choose from and once that was decided he faxed my order in.  I've looked at Handy Houses and Cook portable buildings and although they are cheaper they are cheaper for a reason.  Braces were plentiful on these Lark buildings and NOT so much on the others.  Mr. Shuman saw the process all the way through.  He also moved another building for me and it was dead on the money level before he left.  He didn't charge near enough for what he had to go through to move it.

Recent Review: We visited Handi-House of Yulee to purchase a storage building. We were told that we couldn't be helped  by the person in the office but would need to make an appointment with Carey who handles the Carolina Carport portion of the business. We were told to expect about four weeks from start to finish. We called back to make an appointment with Carey because he didn't call us when we left our name and number. We made an appointment that was cancelled by Carey and delayed until the following week. We did make a purchase at that time as was told to expect closer to six weeks for completion. We decided to use his suggested person for concrete. That caused a three week delay as we attempted to get a contractors license number from the concrete person for our building permit. Carey told us with each contact that he would look into getting the info for us and call us back. We never heard back. The contractor took three weeks to pour the 20'x 36' concrete pad. Then we had to wait an additional six weeks for the building. We started the process October 9th and the building went up, finally, on January 9th. The only help we had in the office was from another in the office who finally gave us phone numbers for Carolina Carports. We're still waiting to "hear back" from Carey about when we might finally get our building! The one thing I have learned is that when the deposit is paid, you will be on your own and all service from Handi-House of Yulee is over.

Recent Review: I needed a handicapped accessible addition. We chose to build it under an existing roof in the space that used to be a carport. But the cabin is 4 feet off the ground and has a wrap around porch. So I drew up my design on a home architect program. I gave my plan to Mark and his crew and just watched as my plan became reality. The space was 10 feet wide by 42 feet long. There was a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom with a roll in shower, and a craft room at the back. There were two windows that had to be moved. And I added three windows that the crew found that were very close to what we had in the cabin. They made an entrance to the new space from the porch in the front and a door to the outside from the craft room. The craft room connects to the cabin pantry/laundry room. They went above and beyond creating shelving inside and a new porch at the back for the ramp to attach to. Mark has a natural ability to see exactly how the structure should be built. I admire his ability to not get bogged down in a mistake and instead to turn that into an advantage. I want everyone to know that waiting till Mark can do your project is well worth it. For some reason when I reviewed my report their is an added category line. It says the category is " Windows". That would be wrong. The category is "additions".
