ABEECH ISLAND APPLIANCE SERVICE CO
The technician found that the stove was set up for propane. He had to order new parts to switch it to natural gas. The only minor complaint is that I wasn't called when the parts came in. I had to call back. The technician was prompt and did a good job.

I left a message and they called back quickly. They were able to fix our oven very quick. While the tech was there, we asked about our non-functioning ice maker that a local plumbing company repaired (but never worked). They diagnosed and fixed teh problem and fixed it shortly after. Great service !

I discovered the  cost to repair the oven could possibly cost more than it cost to buy a new one when considering the age of the oven. I decided not to repair oven. The service person was very helpful and I believed he was very fair in his assessment.

We just purchased a house, receiving a home warranty at closing. One week after closing, I noticed the oven did not cook properly. I phoned the warranty company, who in turn gave the job to Bailey's Appliance. The serviceman, Tony, promptly came out the next day. After inspecting the oven, he said it needed a new thermostat, which he returned with maybe 1 or 2 days later. When that did not solve the problem he said it would need a new circuit board which would cost about $300. This is a 19 yr old stove. We phoned the warranty company and told them our preference would be a cash settlement and we would get a new stove. Suddenly, we received a phone call from Tony reporting that his boss said it was common for a gas oven to fluctuate as much as 60 degrees either way! Well, we knew this was not true, and confirmed it with a call to the company that manufactured the stove. The next we heard was that Tony reported to the warranty company that there was "no problem" with the stove! The warranty company (which is a whole other report) insisted that they come back for a 2nd opinion. They made the appointment, said Tony would be the one returning...(why would they send the same person that gave 3 different conclusions??) and after I phoned telling them I had an appointment and they would have to be here before 1:00, they never showed up. This was 4 days ago. We've purchased another stove. Oh, and also .. when Tony was here, I asked him if he knew of any company that possibly made a stove with gas burners and an electric oven.. he said that did not exist.! Well, just about every stove manufacturer out there has a "dual fuel" model, which is what we bought.

The original reason for the service was an icemaker that didn't work. While the repair person was there, we told him that the stove wasn't working right and he said it needed an infinite switch. At that time we paid approximately $80 for the service visit. He said they would call us back in a few days with the estimte on the parts needed for the icemaker and stove. A few days later I was thinking that he never tested the icemaker electric eye that he said was defective. I looked at the unit and the switch was turned off. I turned it on and the icemaker functioned perfectly. When they called and told me the estimate would be about $280 to replace the electric eye, I told them that it was working fine but still needed the stove repaired. I was told that would cost approximately $120 but, since we had already paid the initial service call, it would only cost us an additional $66. When my wife called and told me they had come and repaired the stove and told me that they charged us $186 instead of $66, I called and spoke to the owner who basically just kept adding to the original $66 as the conversation progressed for additional service charges etc. What happened here was they ordered the electric eye that wasn't broken and were making me pay for it in spite of the fact that they didn't test it when they came to see what was wrong to begin with. Don't let these guys in your house.

They found out that out that the component had gone bad so put in a referral to the home warranty company to have the appliance deadline so it could be replaced. I would recommend them because I would use them again in a heartbeat.

They were pricey. They installed a starter or something like that. I don't remember exactly what they did. They came when they said they would come, but we thought they were very expensive. They came twice and we had to pay them for the service call each time they came. Probably I won't use them again in the future. We tend to look for someone else next time.
