Recent Review: Great. I thought I would have to buy a new oven after a major electrical surge. I ordered an oven from the 'big box store' across the road from Prestige, but 3 weeks later I was told by the store that there was no order. I then heard about Prestige and went there. Trent told me that he was sure the one I had could be fixed. A repair man came out, ordered a couple of parts and fixed it, all within a week or so at about one third the cost of a new one. Even if I had purchased a new one at Prestige, it would still have been less that the store across the road. It was great to find a place where the people who own it and work there are knowledgeable, friendly and honest. I would recommend it to anyone who needs to buy appliances or have them repaired.

Recent Review: Called company on Sunday and left message to contact us using number we would be at during the day on Monday. Arrived home Monday evening to find they had called the home number instead and left message. After a round of telephone tag (you frequently get an answering machine at the office number) we were able to describe the problem, supply the model number and serial number of the oven to the office person. Service person arrived during the appointed time frame (8 to 12) on Thursday with the needed part and replaced it, after calling ahead to make sure someone was home and to verify we knew the total cost of repair. Service man replaced panel and checked performance. Efficient repair visit, but pricey ($20 labor on top of $88 Service Charge). Rather than get the oven repaired on Tuesday, as we had hoped, the appointment had to be for Thursday, largely due to difficulty in speaking to a person at the business' phone number.

Recent Review: I discovered the  cost to repair the oven could possibly cost more than it cost to buy a new one when considering the age of the oven. I decided not to repair oven. The service person was very helpful and I believed he was very fair in his assessment.

Recent Review: Augusta Appliance replaced heat sensor in my oven. Before replacing sensor he talked with me about the age of my oven and cautioned me that there was a chance that this would not fix the problem. I called him that night and told him that the problem was not fixed. He came  back to my house and tried to find another part but parts are not being made for my oven anymore. I ended up having  to buy a new oven but felt that Augusta Appliance was very helpful in trying to solve my problem. I will call them again if needed.

Recent Review: We contacted Allen Appliance (Blackville, SC) in May as an authorized Viking tech when our ovens stopped heating The tech ordered and installed new relay switches for each oven. The oven stopped working again 5 months later. The same man came back again and noted that the part had melted. We asked about warranty on the part and he was dodgy and left without even collecting money for the service call - which indicated to us that he was guilty about something.. We had a different electrician come look at it - and he said the contact installed by Allen Appliance was not good so it overheated and you can see where the relay switch was already melted on the side and had black soot like stuff on it. Allen has not communicated back with us on the warranty - which we believe they know won't be honored because it was the installation and not the part that was faulty.

We are very pleased with the promptness and quality of service provided.  The service technician was pleasant and knowledgeable.   Although we are pleased with our oven, the fact that Thermador no longer provides parts for a product that is only 11 years old, is most disturbing.  We wish that the company that rebuilt the board would have had a shorter turn-around time, but its was not much of an inconvenience since our unit is a double oven and we could still use one of the ovens.   That said, we could not be happier with the service provided by Beech Island Appliance Service.
