Recent Review: I contacted Dietra several months ago to assist me with a kitchen renovation. After several overpriced bids, strange people coming in my house and terrible experiences with other contractors in town, I was left with a HUGE, uneven, gaping hole in my ceiling and no kitchen to use for months. Well, Dietra came to the rescue. After hearing about her through the Savannah grapevine and seeing some of her awesome work around town, I gave her a call. As busy as she was, she must've heard the desperation and defeat in my voice and kindly carved out some time for my kitchen. I was lucky enough to have my brother's out-of-state company build me custom cabinets for the kitchen. However, we didn't know what would be in store when we discovered that the pre-existing walls were warped and uneven; the floors were uneven, the plumbing was "interesting", amongst many of the other challenges that were a result of unprofessional and bad work on the house over the course of 50 years. This was the biggest plus for me; Dietra is a true blue problem solver. She doesn't freak out, stress out, walk out, but she really takes the time to figure out the best solutions for things. She doesn't cut corners and takes time to do things correctly, yet efficiently.  She jumped a lot of hurdles with all of the challenges that were in the existing space and found a way to work through all of them. (Even with laughs and smiles) From the installation of custom cabinets, to cutting and installing butcher block countertops, installing ceramic flooring, backsplash, my appliances, sink, re-framing out walls, building a shelving unit and making that huge HOLE in my ceiling disappear, and the variety of other things that went into this space: everything turned out perfect and I am so lucky to now, have the perfect kitchen. I loved that she didn't mind me being curious about the whole renovation process and would keep me in the loop, consult with me and help me figure out better alternatives to my sometimes crazy ideas. Dietra is respectful of your home, shows up on time, always communicates, works hard and is focused. She takes pride in her work and wants everything to be perfect, with an attention to detail that is unrivaled. After months and months of embarking on my own DIY projects (and not gracefully), I am so grateful to have found Dietra. She gave me the gift of an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING kitchen and I can't imagine using anybody else in Savannah for all of my many future projects. I almost don't want to leave this review because I would love to keep her and her awesome work all to myself! But, eat your heart out Savannah, if you need someone that is exceptional for virtually any project you have- I am certain that she's your woman! THANK YOU, DIETRA!! You saved me from my very own kitchen nightmare!

Recent Review: He replaced the bathroom floor from floor to ceiling. I paid around $6000. The work went very well. I had expected much worse. There were some issues, but it was relatively painless. They cleaned up after themselves much better than other companies. They cleaned things out of the yard. Their customer service was very good because the owner was very involved in most of the day-to-day work. They were extremely respectful. They did painting, window replacement, door replacement, trim work, installed plumbing fixtures, mirrors, and other works. The only thing that they didn?t do was the electrical work. Their quality is good. They were referred by a friend of mine. So, I had seen their work before I used them. I will use this company again in the future.

Recent Review: Simon and his crew are simply outstanding!  He always returns emails and phone calls promptly, which we love.  The crew showed up early to complete the floor.  The job took exactly the amount of time Simon had estimated, and the end result looks amazing!  During the initial walk through, Simon gave us advice on the install.  In particular, he advised we should wait to select a back splash tile until the floor and counters were done.  This was excellent advice and we appreciated his perspective.  The crew was extremely professional, and Simon came at the end of the job to ensure everything was done to our satisfaction.  I HIGHLY recommend ProTile.

Recent Review: Jeff is the consummate professional.  Arrives early, on time, and keeps moving with minimal conversation (though always polite), and does excellent work.  He was responsive to all requests, finding time to return for small details that needed taking care of.  He cleans up after himself and never leaves a mess.  We now have a higher countertop in the bathroom that is much more accessible.

For $1,800 he painted around some interior trim (where he had not finished on a prior job), applied some drywall mud and painted an area about 1 foot by 6" next to a wall phone in the kitchen and painted some slats around a rear deck. He started and didn't finish: regrout around the brick front steps, painting 3 exterior doors and trim, painting the top of a trellis, trim and paint a small access door to under stairs. I have photos.

We were thrilled with the end result. Some of our walls were in rough shape and Dietra did a fantastic job repairing and painting them. Her trim work is outstanding. Our house looks better than it ever has before!

AHome Services & Repairs
From the start, Tom made sure that we understood the scope of the project we were planning to take on and was always realistic about time frames and costs. We purchased a house that was in dire need of minor repairs and major interior renovations. We worked with Tom to prioritize the things we wanted to do while keeping our budget in mind. With Tom's help we were able to stay within budget and get the entire project completed in good time. During the project we were away from the house but we kept in touch with Tom continuously. He was always responsive and when decisions had to be made or issues arose he was always on top of it and would clearly explain options before just moving forward in a direction that we might not agree with. We visited the house a few times during construction and were very pleased with the professionalism of his crew and the care they took with our home. We had a decorator working on the home concurrently while Tom and his crew were doing their thing, and Tom not only made sure that there were no scheduling conflicts but was also available to help when big items started showing up on the doorstep! All of the work performed was detailed in the original estimate, or as an addendum as we changed the scope of the project. Each time we knew the costs up front in writing, and the final cost was never more than the estimate (on one item it was actually a few hundred less once tile was removed and revealed things were not as bad as originally thought). Finally, since the project was a fairly long one, I had the opportunity to talk with Tom on a variety of topics, and I found him to be an honest and down to earth person. I have a few more upgrades in mind once we replenish our coffers, and I will definitely be giving him a call to take on those projects.

DStructured Results, Inc.
The workmen worked hard and got the job done however, overall, they showed up late each morning and left by or before 5pm each day when there was plenty of daylight to continue to work in order to complete the job in a more timely fashion. The foreman of the company, Rich, met me for 2 minutes and was overall not personable, unorganized, irresponsible, incompetent, unprofessional and could not multi-task. He also lied about me to the owner of the company, saying that I said something that I never said. The owner, Joe Boggs, was going through some personal issues, felt the need to tell me his sob stories whenever he had a chance and all the stuff he had to deal with personally reflected in the way he conducted himself professionally. I originally fired him when he refused to set a start date with me and I re-hired him when he apologized and appeared sincere about wanting my business. I pretty much decided to use him because I didn't want to start over at square one and have to get more estimates. Even though the work was done to my satisfaction, I'm truly sorry I chose to re-hire him. The owner came over after completion to see if he could find out what had transpired between the foreman and myself which ended up with my kicking him out of my house when he continued to interrupt me and not allow me to speak to tell my side of things and he kept denying that I hadn't spoken to him about his men working on certain things when I had spoken to him about those things on numerous occasions, the last time, just 8 hours earlier. After I told him to leave, I had to tell him two more times as he just stood there. I'm not sure if he was refusing to leave or simply shocked that I was kicking him out. The final time I told him to leave my house, I told him it could be handled one of two ways - him leaving on his own or my calling the police and having him removed from my property. He told me that he had never had this kind of experience with a customer before and I told him that I had never dealt with a contractor as unprofessional as him nor had I ever been put in such an uncomfortable situation. Upon him leaving, I told him I would never hire him again nor refer him to anyone. I then text messaged him and told him to not contact me again nor come to my property. I am prepared to file an official harassment complaint with my local police should he ever try to contact me again. During the week the job was being done, when discussing things with him over the phone, he was constantly telling me one thing and telling his foreman another. For instance, he told me the foreman would be one of the workmen on the job when he never worked a second on my house, other than my seeing him for a total of 10 minutes during the first day of the job as he was overseeing what his workers were accomplishing. Another example, on the final day of work, the owner of this business told me that his men would be there early that day and they did not arrive until 10:33am. When I discussed this with him, he responded "That's my workers." as if this was acceptable that his workmen kept a client waiting. As if constantly showing up late on the job was the norm. **** I WILL NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT PEOPLE SHOULD SPEND THEIR HARD-EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE.**** ** UPDATE **: I received the final bill in the mail nearly a week later with an increase of $600+ for additional work and labor costs. He did not provide me with labor costs in the original estimate, did not go over this extra work and costs in his original estimate nor did he discuss anything with me prior to the work being done. He also wrote in the final bill that I had said that the work was "exceptional and better than brand new" when I had never made such a statement. So now I consider Mr. Boggs to be a thief AND a liar. Who lies about such things and thinks he/she can get away with it? I contacted my lawyer who said I had a case against him but that if I proceeded with a lawsuit, it would cost me more than if I simply just paid it off. The very next day, I put the payment in the mail, and within a few hours Mr. Bogg's lawyer contacted me about the payment. I told him that his client hadn't sent me a bill until the previous day and that I could only move so fast to get the payment to him. I also advised him to remind his client not to contact me again or he would be hearing from my lawyer. His lawyer, who was very apologetic to me for jumping the gun and contacting me because Mr. Boggs neglected to tell him about his delay in sending me the final bill, told me that I would not have any further issues.
