Beth is incredible!! We were very embarrassed at how out of control our house was – closets/cabinets/drawers full, storage room and garage a mess. Beth was recommended to us. She spent time making sure she thoroughly understood our goals and objectives and came up with a comprehensive plan with creative and fabulous ideas. She helped guide us into decisions as to what to do with our stuff. She was fabulous to work with, enormously trustworthy, her rates were phenomenal and she executed the plan perfectly. I used an Angie's List Big Deal special offer for this service and it went really well. They got a lot done and I really like that the lady who came out did not advise me to buy a lot of new things to help me get organized. She helped me use what we already had; that was very helpful. She took all of the things that I was getting rid of and donated them for me. I got a receipt, which was very nice.

When you hire this company you can pick either two hours of cleaning or two hours of home organizing. I picked the home organizing and their price was entirely too much. I was due to have a baby in two weeks and I worked as hard as the two people that came out. One person finished doing something and was sitting around watching the other one. I would love my money back for that one; it was so sad and ridiculous. They don't know what they are doing and have no clue. I would call and ask questions about things and they were so uncomfortable answering questions. They were on time but I will not use them again in the future. [Possibly redundant/obvious addendum: I purchased this as a "Big Deal" for my wife, who wrote the above review.  All other reviews on Angie's List are re: services I've used myself]

I purchased 4 hours of Ruth' organizing services as part of an Angie' List "Big Deal". This was just what I needed to finally prompt me into action. I needed help to organize my overwhelming, massively disorganized home office. It was out of hand, and it exhausted me just to look at it. Ruth actually contacted me before I called her to schedule the appointment. There was overwhelming response to her Big Deal, and she wanted to be sure everyone was on her calendar before the deal expired. I really appreciated that gesture. Ruth called me the day before to confirm and arrived on time. She shared a book of pictures and stories of other organization projects primarily to put my mind at ease that my situation was not unique and certainly manageable. Once she listened to my goals for my office, we got right to work. Clearing the clutter was the #1 project, and in my case that was around volumes and volume of paper. We started in one spot and worked systemically around the room, addressing every piece of paper or item that we encountered.... file, trash, shred, goodwill. We made a lot of progress in 4 hours. I asked her to stay an additional hour, and I paid separately for that time. Her guidance, encouragement and tips were invaluable. I still have a lot to do, but now that I have begun, I am motivated to keep going. I have some real direction now. Much of this I will do on my own from this point, but I fully expect to call Ruth again to help me if I get stuck. I also would love to hire Ruth again for my closet organization.

She arrived, we walked up to the room, she began asking me questions about what the function(s) of the room were, how much space each function needed, etc. She then said to go get a BIG trash can which made me a tad nervous...but I went and got one!. We started right at the entrance and worked around the room, not skipping anything no matter how big or small it was. If I began to stagger out of the "zone" she quickly reminded me where we were working at and to please return. It seemed like it had only been an hour but it had been 3 1/2 and we were through! I'm still just AMAZED!
