Recent Review: I called and left a message for Riverside Painting in the morning. I got a call back to set up an appointment within two hours. An appointment was set for a Friday of the same week at 2 pm. On the day of my appointment, Gerardo called me to let me know that he was available about 20-30 minutes early so if I was available he would come by earlier. Once he arrived, he was very professional and courteous. We walked around the house and I explained to Gerardo what I wanted to have done. As we were going over my list he pointed out a few things that I did not notice/did not know about that will need some attention. We spent about 20 minutes going over the scope of work. Gerardo then asked me to give him a few minutes to write up an estimate. About 10 minutes later he rang my doorbell with a complete packet of information (insurance, work guarantee, etc.) that also included an estimate. I thought the price was very reasonable. He also ensured me that he would oversee the entire project and I can call him any time with any questions. Due to some weather and association approval delays the work could not be started for about 4 days past my appointment. Once I was ready, I called Gerardo back and let him know that he can begin. He told me that his crew will be out the following morning at 8:30 am. At exactly 8:30 am the following morning a crew of 4 gentlemen rang my doorbell to introduce themselves and begin work. WOW! The project began with pressure washing, then replacing wood rot and then paint. (They even pressure washed my walkway to the house!). I picked a color that I thought I wanted for the exterior of the house....that ended up being not what I wanted. I asked them to please stop painting until I can get another color. They obliged, unfortunately at that point they had already painted three of the four sides of my house. When they came back on Monday, I explained that I picked another color and they will need to repaint everything in the new color. I apologized for the double work and the answer was "This is what we do. We will be happy to do it. We just want you to be happy!" The entire painting of the house, trim and shutters was finished in one day. I could not be happier!!! It was an awesome experience and would definitely hire Riverside Painting again! We need more contractors like this that do what they say they will do, do an exceptional job and reasonably charge for their work. THANK YOU TO THE TEAM AT RIVERSIDE PAINTING - JOB WELL DONE GENTLEMEN!!!
Recent Review: Russ did a GREAT job from start to finish! I initially contacted Russ to find out more about his process and he stayed on the phone with me for nearly 20 minutes answering all of my questions. On the day that he came out to look at my chimney, he again explained all that his crew would do and showed me a sample of the material that he would use. On the day of install Russ came out with his crew and again thoroughly explained the process and checked in with me and his crew throughout the day. His crew did a very thorough job and cleaned up all of the debris from the job. Russ further impressed me by realizing that his crew inadvertently took the leftover paint and personally brought it to my house a week later. I plan to use Russ again for my second chimney in the next few months. Overall, I am extremely pleased with his work and will definitely refer him to my neighbors!!!

The finished job looks great, but not before a few issues with the workers "wanting" to do the right thing until their management got involved. They claimed that after replacing the trim around the windows, it wasn't possible to square up the pieces because the original trim is made of wood and the replaced trim is a PVC material. They were also reluctant to paint the left and right sides of my garage door ( approx. 2 inches in width) because the sides are covered by the rubber weather stripping when the door is in the closed position. Several areas were missed on the bottom side of the wood siding, but were corrected when asked. After the job was finished and paid in full, I noticed that the trim around my fireplace was not painted. I strongly suggest that if you use this contractor, or any other one for that matter, to pay attention to the job while it is in progress. Come up with a checklist of things that need to be addressed and touched-up. Have the list handy so that when the workers tell you that they are done, and they will be anxious to be done with the job, present them with the list. It'll save you a lot of grief in the end. I just wish that I would have caught the fireplace trim before it was too late. In closing, I have to say that my experience with the management was excellent. They made sure that their workers corrected the aforementioned issues.

APerfection Roofing & Siding
The old siding on the house was in poor condition (25+ years old), with a lot of moisture damage from the recent rain this year. Russ's crew quickly and efficiently removed the old siding, added house wrap, and put up the new siding. The siding was mounted straight and evenly, even long pieces. The paint job was started as soon as the siding was finished and was very professionally done. Any minor requests or touch-ups I asked for were done quickly and without complaint. Rainy weather stopped work for a few days here and there, but the crew came back to work as soon as weather permitted. Everyone on the crew was friendly and helpful. Overall, a very good job done. A neighbor from down the street even stopped by to ask who performed the work.

Everything went well except they used indoor paint as a primer before I saw the can. After calling this to their attention they did change to an exterior paint for the final coat!

The brick molding on our house that was rotting. We had hired another company a few years back to take care of the problem but now everything was worse than before. We were looking for a company that would take care of the problem for good and stand behind their work. We called several companies to come out and give us advise and estimates. Some never returned our calls, some came and said they would send us estimates which we never got, or they would just not show up at all. Finally while taking to a neighbor I got the name and number for this company, Georgia Construction Consultants, with high recommendations. I called and they promptly set up a meeting with their project supervisor. We were greatly surprised when the project supervisor showed up on the date and time we had agreed on. (Many of the others did not !) He was very professional, knowledgeable and easy to talk with. He was patient and answered all our questions. So far, so good. Now we wanted to see if we would get the quote that we were promised in a timely manner. Well we did. Now we were more impressed. We had a few questions about the quote. No problem all questions were answered cheerfully. Each and every time we had an appointment set up, the project supervisor was on time or called to let us know if he would be a little late. We truely felt this was the company for us. We set a start date. On the date we choose the window crew came out to replace a picture window with two side windows and a circle head. All went great. The crew was on time, very curtious, and you could tell they knew what they were doing. Then the crew for the brick mold replacement came in and finished. Great job!! The painters came in next. They were awesome. They were very professional and good at their job. If they found a problem they would let us know or tell the project supervisor. Then we would discuss what to do. The project supervisor met with each crew before starting to be sure they knew what to do and he showed up everyday to see how things were progressing. Due to rain the painting had to be postponed a few days which pushed the painting into a week where we were out of town hiking for 3 days. We felt confident enough that we told them to continue on with the job. We are bout 6000 feet up on the side of a mountain when my cell phone beeps. I had a message to call the project supervisor when ever I could. Fortunately we walked a few more feet and I got service. (It was the only spot on the trip that we got service once we started climbing!!) I called and painting had been stopped because the supervisor had remembered me saying I wanted the trim and new gutters to match. It did not. We discussed what to do and he took care of it. When we got home everything looked awesome!! Then as they finished up the painters decided my deck rails needed painting so everything would look new. They threw that in for free! They also gave us a break on the extra paint and time where I had messed up the trim color choice. We are VERY satisfied with everything and will be using them again for our future projects. If you are looking for a professional, reliable company that cares about their clients and their work then you need to call this company!!

As a part-time landlord with four rentals, I do not have the time or the expertise to make repairs on the houses. A friend introduced me to Shawn at Georgia Construction Consultants five years ago and he has quickly moved up on my speed dial. He has replaced siding, repaired roofs, replaced windows and screens and has done general wood carpentry on both the exterior and interior of all of the houses. Shawn is easily accessible and has no surprises in his pricing/estimates. His work is professional and timely. His suggestions have saved me time and money which is very important to the success of my business. I would recommend using Georgia Construction as I plan on continuing to use them in the future!

My first communication with Don stated that he would be on site the whole time and that no money was required until the job was completed. Day 1, Don asked for $3,000 because he didn't have the cash to pick up the materials. The siding and painting were completed first. The painting is starting to bubble and chip after 4 months. The shingled portion of the roof looked good, but there were multiple (14) nail heads showing that were not covered by my new architectural shingles. The nails for the vent boots were also not sealed (see picture). One gutter was leaking directly into the house (See picture). It took 7 months and three trips to complete the roll roof section that was completely F'd from the start as they secured the roll roof BEHIND the gutter (see picture). The new gutters were scratched and dented from ladders and some "interesting" engineering to set the roll roof. The worksite was left dirty with large sawhorses and demolished material sitting for months. I do not reccimend this contractor. I had so many issues that Don Allen told me in May to keep the last $500 of the $17,000 just so he didn't have to return and finish the job that began in October. I was very patient, too patient, and I have completed the remaining items on my own through common sense.

AHall's Handyman Service of Georgia LLC
In a word, excellent. They are conscientious, friendly and knowledgeable. The original repairs required shutting off that section of the house and hanging plastic sheeting. They set up an alternative site for my "office" and were as unobtrusive as possible. Unfortunately, the original repair work uncovered a lot of issues from rotten window casings and siding to plumbing issues and shifting walls. Nothing stymied them and everything they have done (to include choosing paint colors when it became a bit overwhelming has been extremely pleasing on all levels. I had a deadline to complete the original flooring and not only was it met, but often I had to send them home in the evening as they worked long hours to insure perfection as well as completion. Often Chris made suggestions of ideas that solved problems I either didn't know I had or had never been able to solve. Even things like replicating a sunrise pattern in the house on the railing of the deck which turned out to be stunning. Unlike several who came before, they are reasonable, helpful, professional and well worth the experience. Their cost is very reasonable especially compared to some who have done surface improvements that did not stand the test of time yet were very costly. It is impossible to put an "approximate cost of service" as they have been working here off and on since May 2015. They have given me back my house.
