Recent Review: Ken (installer) was there right on time, and did a great job installing the new pump and completing the saltwater conversion. He also has been contacted multiple times by phone and text for both technical assistance and help, he has been exceptionally helpful and great to work with. We will absolutely use them again!
Recent Review: We have always had a positive experience with American Home Shield as far as scheduling service appointments and have found some very reliable contractors as a result. We did have problems with a couple of the service repair companies sent to service our dishwasher, but AHS worked with us to find alternate companies and resolve the issue.

FTIFTON POOLS & SPAS
Tifton pool was supposed to Main pool was acid washed first of August. Tifton Pool and Spa found the motor needed to be replaced on the pool pump or the pool pump filter (can’t remember). New motor was installed. The property is currently rented and the renter told us that when the waterfalls were running it was causing the pool level to drop. He didn’t know why and I have talked with Tifton Pool and Spa 4 different times trying to get an answer on this. I finally got an answer last week. Betty said Victor should have told me and Victor said Betty should have told me and then they said they told the renter, but they didn't tell me. Tifton Pool and Spa said they needed to do a pressure test to see where it is leaking to do the test but not . Tifton Pool and Spa said the self-cleaning system was not working because the motor needed to be replaced (1 horse power motor). They have known this since August but failed to tell us. Replace the motor and labor $445. Once the motor is replaced then they say we need to have the pool vacuumed, cleaned and the filter cleaned because there is algae in the pool- $150. I don’t understand why they told the new tenant no need to keep the pool up until the motor is replaced because you are wasting money but yet they charged Dr. Glass to keep up the pool and it was not clean when he moved out. Tifton Pool and Spa said there are ants that are at the motor or controls that they think have caused the problems (I have no idea). Tifton Pool and Spa said the pool needed 65 bags of salt. They recommended waiting until the spring to do that and in the meantime use chlorine tablets. The guy in Albany did not understand why they recommended that. Seems like a lot of salt for this size pool in my opinion. I am not happy with their service.

BAmerican Home Shield – Home Warranty
It went extremely well from the time we contacted AHS to the service call from the contracted company, Coastal Georgia Pool Service, that came over and looked at our spa, ultimately replacing the heater.

AMYSTIC WATERS POOL AND SPA
Went well. Raymond is a good guy - trying to help rather than sell. He recommended that I monitor the situation and call if the problem became worse.

ADAVID RICE MIGHTY MAN HANDY MAN
Very good. He removed damaged presswood and replaced it with plywood. He also replaced the old pipes at the top of the water heater with new flexible ones in order to lessen the chance of the valve breaking again or overflowing again to damage the carpet and floor in living room.

They came out the day I called, quoted me a price that was extremely fair. Started the job immediately, finished in a timely matter and cleaned up

DCoastal Georgia Pool Service Inc.
For this most recent visit (I had used their service about a year prior with reasonable results), initial response was ok, a bit slow, but they are very nice people and their previous work was good. I am a big supporter of local small businesses (they don't get much smaller than this one - it is a family operation run out of their home) and really wanted to give them my business. They determined the heater had again failed and told me they had to research if it was still under warranty and would get back to me. I waited several weeks and heard nothing so I called several times but only reached the answering machine. After another week or so of trying, I called the Home Warranty company to complain, and sometime later CGPS called me back to say they were working with the manufacturer to decide how to proceed. I explained that I knew things can take time but all I asked for was an occasional call to keep me updated. They promised they would call me as soon as they heard something. That was 3 months ago, I have heard nothing from them, none of my calls since have been returned. The Warranty company had also tried to call and left multiple messages with no reply. It is now to the point where the Warranty company has assigned another service provider. Bottom line: Nice people, good work, terrible customer service, I won't be using them again.

ATHE REPAIR MAN
Bought a new house at auction, house had two doors that needed to be replaced, and two windows. One window was beyond repair and was completly replaced while the other just needed a new pane in it. Gary (The Repair Man) did all the work very fast and went out of his way to ensure all was to our satisfaction. I will be calling him for more work very soon as I need a new water heater and a few other small services.

AJEFF'S POOL & SPA SERVICE
Called Jeff's to report a water leak to my spa. The next day they came to my residence, diagnosed the problem and repaired the leak installing new seal and gasket to my older pump. Problem solved quickly and professionally. This is the third time this year that I have needed their services: install a new motor on my spa; install a new gas hot water heater and this repair. All work has been completed quickly, professionally and at fair cost. I would not hesitate to use them again and would recommend their services.
