Recent Review: Beautiful product, good prices. Only issue was a delay in shipping of several weeks due to inventory. This delay caused issues with scheduling on a whole-house renovation and it would have been quite useful to know about upfront, rather than having to call them repeatedly for updates. When the flooring finally arrived, weeks late, it was beautiful and in very good shape. I would use them again, but I would order much earlier than needed to allow for any delays.

Recent Review: I can't say enough good about Atlanta Builders. They coordinated everything so well, and kept me informed. Workers showed up when promised, The owner, or his son, came by every day that there were workers here to check that things were going as planned & if I had any concerns or questions. The steps flowed smoothly, so there wasn't a long delay in getting my kitchen back up and functioning. Their invoices were very line-by-line detailed and easy to follow. Payment was divided up into 3, due as the project progressed. I will definitely call them when I'm ready to rebuild my back deck!

Recent Review: Mr. Dale is an honest Christian businessman and after being quoted exorbitant prices, I was getting discouraged about being able to get the floor finished and paid for. When Mr. Dale came to the house that I was overseeing, he measured everything, which nobody else did and quoted me a price that made my jaw drop. Mr. Dale had Chad come on a Saturday and lay the flooring and he did a superb job and I was so astonished as I watched him work and the attention to detail and his ethics are impeccable. I learned quite a bit talking to Chad as he worked and watching him too. I had so much fun that Saturday and what I thought was going to be a chore was a blessing in disguise. I will be doing my own home and not one that I am overseeing and I have already asked Chad if I could ask for him to come and install my flooring after I make the arrangements with Mr. Dale. Pro Carpet Installation is a wonderful business and Mr. Dale and Chad top it off!!! BRAVO, gentlemen for being honest and taking care of me and my friend!!! Blessings! - Nancy Jean Smith -

CDAVE'S HOME & BUSINESS MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS
When Dave came out to scope out the job to get me an estimate I told him I was concerned with the concrete not being flat, it was in fact very uneven. I also told him I had already put a composite floor down in one small room myself, which took me a very long time to get flat, within the 1/8 inch manufacturers specification, with floor levelers. Dave's floor man showed up on time and on schedule. After he had been there for about 2 hours, I went down to check on it and found he already had the flooring down on about half of the main room. I asked if he had any trouble getting it flat and he said not at all because it was already flat within specs. I questioned that, but he insisted it was flat so I gave him benefit of the doubt - maybe this part of the floor was different? I was wrong. Walking across the floor you will step on a high spot which is hard, and the next step will be a low spot and you will hear the floor creaking and cracking as your foot sinks in. When I complained to Dave, he said the floor was fine, it was just like every other floor he had put in, and "that's why they call them floating floors, because they float above the subfloor"! I understand what a "floating floor" is, and they are not supposed to be floating more than 1/8 inch above the subfloor. Even now with the floor installed, I can find numerous places where the floor depresses that much and up to 1/4 inch, but I suppose that doesn't "prove" anything. It's just a very annoying and unsatisfactory floor. Dave's cost was $3,251 which I ended up paying because it it would have cost more if I couldn't get moved back in right away.

BLOWE'S
The crew was super nice and really knew what they were doing. The floor had problems because it was laid over concrete and that was not their fault. There are lumps in my floor. They tried very hard to sand them down, but they were just too big, so there's bubbles; it doesn’t lie flat to the floor in some places. The concrete was laid when the building was built. It took them a long time to decide to do it because they thought the floor was damp. I liked the contractor. They should have at least talked to me about the leveling. Lowe's has a liaison between the customer and the contractor. The liaison should have told me.

Floors look great. Lots of dust. Maybe that is to be expected. (The house was vacant while the work was being done.)

DThe Floor Store
Process was rough from start to finish. One wood install crew came out multiple times to install flooring in 2 large rooms, 2 hall ways, closets, and pantry. They installed light oak colored transitions on some areas and dark black colored in other areas, floor is a walnut or dark brown. Job drug on for months due to transitions coming up/unglued. Hall way had to be repaired due to transitions being re-glued so many times.(That's what the guy who was running the show said to me.) And the repair the boss of the wood floor crew did looked like crap. I had to hire a guy a few months after that to re-do that area. Several transitions were not seated properly. One was actually stuck mostly to my kitchen floor. Area in the hall needed more glue, it was spongy. When they ordered the 2nd set of transitions, they got the same wrong color. They scratched/gouged my existing 20 yr old wood floor in the foyer, scuffed walls, and other minor stuff. I also got floor store to put vinyl in my master bath. One guy comes out. Damages my waterline to toilet, re-installs and splits 20yr old 1/4 round and covers it with caulk. He left me with lumps under vinyl, then comes out to fix it. Left cuts in new vinyl. 2nd guy comes out to remove and replace it. He leaves and a section is making a sticky noise, its not bonding to slab. He leaves job not complete because he didn't bring cutting tool for transition. the one that was already cut, he glued it with white caulk. He didn't bring glue for wood either. And, yep, more white caulk on my baseboard. Good bye Floor Store. Had to file complaint with BBB.
