Recent Review: Great! Pool looks beautiful. Workers were polite, thoughtful, cleaned up after themselves each day & did a great job. Pool had not been remarcited since we bought this property in 1991. Long overdue! Then Hurricane Irma flooded us & filled the pool with swamp water. It is wonderful having my pool back!

No delays or long periods of project staying idle. Employee's and subs are quality people. Owner's work in the field with crews. Con's- Communication throughout the duration of the building process was lacking.

Recent Review: I had a horrible pool service, Anthony's Pools in Ocala, who lied, cheated, didn't do the job. I am thus qualified to know a company that is as close to perfect as humanly possible. They do what they say they will, they communicate if a problem, they are available to answer questions, honest, polite. A fantastic company. $95 includes service and chemicals. Cheaper than the horrible company that I used before, and I get Cadillac service. I can't say enough good about them.

I had a good relationship with them for many years and then he ended it very badly. He quit and didn't notify me and left my pool not taken cared of for several weeks because he never bothered to tell me and we weren't living there. I came back to a green filthy people when I had people trying to buy the house so I wasn't very happy. I had no issue with the cost and prior to that, the service was good. I'm not sure why he wanted to quit, he just did and he didn't bother telling me about it.

FECS Solar Energy Systems
I used ECS to install my pool heating solar panels in 2005. As I was planning to replace the roof in the ensuing 5-7 years, I asked Mr Tom Lane, the owner of ECS, about the cost of removing and reinstalling the panels when the need arose. I was told that was a simple task and would only cost $100. In July, 2011, I called to schedule the solar panel removal and mentioned my earlier quote from Mr Lane. I was told it would cost me over $1500 to remove/reinstall the panels. Mr Lane stated he would have been crazy to give me that previous quote, but was willing to reduce the price to $1340. As the roofers were coming within a few days, I had no choice but to agree to the price. The removal took 45 minutes and the reinstall took less than 3 hours. The only new part cost me an additional $25. Bottom line: My mistake was in not getting everything in writing. I was charged $1365 (over $300/hr) for work that was originally quoted at $100 for the entire job. Make sure you get everything in writing with Mr Lane as he either has a short memory or is willing to say whatever it takes to close a deal.

It seems I had received all of the "junk" equipment, meaning parts that had been returned as defective. In the 5 minutes he spent explaining how to work everything, his salt computer kept malfunctioning. I asked him to bring a different one and he said he couldn't. I had to keep calling them back to come out and get it running. I asked him to write on his paperwork that they may have to replace this equipment but he wouldn't. Later he became extremely rude. I tried to find instructions and warranties from each item they installed but I had nothing. I called again and asked where these papers were and he said he left them on the table but of course they were nowhere. I asked him to come back and show me again how it worked and he gave me another 5 minutes to try and write it all down and again I asked him for all of the warranty papers in case something stopped working. He said it would be under their warranty. When the computer kept giving me information that there was enough salt in the water but, the water was turning green, I added salt but I couldn't know how much to add since the computer couldn't be trusted, I called them but they wouldn't return my calls. Once they got their check cleared, I guess I was history. I was a recent widow and I guess that made me an easy mark.

ASP was very responsive at first to win the business. Once work started it progressed smoothly and they did a good job. the issue is that once the job was near completion things slower down considerably and then once they were paid in full it is difficult to get them to follow-up on any adjustments left to do. Mainly one new pool light was malfunctioning and (still) there is a strip in the pool which was missed when the subcontractors they hired applied the finish. I reported to the person they keep sending when I call but somehow there is never any follow-up (he took pics on his phone). Finally I just had the light replaced (under warrantee, but took 2-3 months and still nothing on the pool finish. I should have held back their final payment as once they were paid, this is when their attitude changed from sending the "A team" to something less.
