Reviews in Trenton to Install Laminate Flooring
AInterior Experts LLC
I am extremely happy with absolutely everything with my flooring experience with Interior Experts. First of all what got my attention was the fact they are local and actually was able to quote me and answer all my questions promptly and accurately . Vlad also helped me make the best decision based on my needs and budget. They were able to schedule and complete my job with in the time I needed which was really important to me. Next, they showed up prepared on time and got the work done fast and my new flooring looks great! They actually exceeded my expectations . Thank you!

AKeller Interiors, Inc.
The job started as a somewhat simple replacement of laminate flooring for about 600 square feet in a condo in Gainesville. Unfortunately, when the old laminate was taken up, there were several problems from the original installation (improperly installed underlayment, crumbling underlayment) and standing water (from either previous owner mopping or water damage that was not disclosed). John Huggins was my contact at Keller in Gainesville, who was an amazing partner throughout the entire process. He patiently explained the problems, and most importantly, how to fix the mess. We ended up with the old underlayment having to be ground off and new underlayment being put down due to the poor condition of the floors. This added to the cost but was absolutely worth it as the subfloor was so bad that if a new floor had been installed, I'm sure it would not have been a quality job and there would be more problems in the future. Someone less reputable than Mr. Huggins, might have completely skipped this step just to get the job done, but I more than appreciate his honesty and professionalism making sure the job was done correctly and that I understood every step. He also recommended a change of product from laminate to vinyl plank, even sending me photos of the new vinyl planks he had put down in his own home. I had never heard of this product, but after discussing the pros and cons with John, vinyl was absolutely the best way to go. It cost a little more for the product, but he honored the original installation price and now the floors are level, dry, and beautiful. I recommend Keller Interiors in Gainesville and John Huggins without reservation.

ACarpet One Floor & Home
Cathy Wilding-Lewis was very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting me in the selection of new flooring for my home. She and the other employees from Carpet One were always on time and responsive to my questions. Everything was completed on time and on budget. The floors still look brand new five months after installation. I am planning to redo the kitchen and bathrooms next and will contact Cathy first to help with my needs for those rooms.

DSouthern Comfort Home Improvement & Maintenance
They seemed organized and professional. Remodel 2 of my homes. Did a fair job but were a little sloppy on some of there work. They did not want to come back and fix some of the stuff that didn't work quite right. My main beef was that they put new flooring in and didn't replace the sub flooring all the way. Now the old particle board underneath the new laminate flooring is rotting away. We had to go under the house to sure up old spots that they didn't put new plywood in, costing me alot more money. I'm going to have to take up all the laminate flooring to put new wood in where they should have done in the first place. My renter moved out because she was falling thru the flooring in spots. I'm so p*****!

I would recommend them without hesitation for any flooring needs.

Never received a quote. I emailed via AL on 2/23 or 2/24 and received a response immediately. We were out of town so we set up a time for a meeting and estimate in March (22nd I believe). He showed up timely and was very personable. We walked the house and I explained what I wanted done. He knew exactly what I was talking about and offered a few suggestions of his own. I felt very good about his ability to provide the services I needed and his previous AL reviews were good. On the down side, he wasn't as professional in his language (F-bombs) and a few stories he shared. He left and I waited for him to contact me with an estimate. He did not call so I finally called him and he apologized for not calling because his computer crashed and he lost everything. He said a repair person was coming out and he would call once it was recovered. I never heard from him again. If that was accurate and he was unable to restore his programs and data, he still had me in his phone and also his notes from our walk through. In addition, he initially responded to me via AL and that doesn't go away. So for that and the f bombs he dropped in our walk thru, I had to give him a C on professionalism and a D on responsiveness. Overall a D since I never received any response and basically wasted my time with him. I know some would rate overall an F, but since no work was preformed, I don't think that would be fair. I did find an excellent company in Lake City that did an fantastic job at a fair price.

Fast and well. Brett started on Monday and was finished on Saturday. The place looks great and everything works. He was generally tidy, though I ended out having to scrub the bathtub after the floor cleaning. Had I hired individual tradespeople for each phase of the work the project would have taken much longer to complete and the cost would have doubled. I have given a relatively low mark for professionalism in the sense that Brett is an individual skilled tradesman who lost regular employment when the bottom fell out of the construction industry and has been supporting himself by advertizing on Craiglist. He doesn't have the trappings of 'professionalism', eg., an office, calling cards and a business name (though he is insured). He charges a flat $20/hr and is fine working without a contract. His manner, though polite and respectful, was not at all that of a salesman or someone who has worked with a marketing consultant. This is fine with me; it means low overhead and lower costs. I you need a multi-skilled tradesman for some building project, Brett's a good choice.

Overall the process is smooth. We paved laminate wood on the whole living room area. We wanted it done before our moving it day, and did it. Nothing really to complaint about their work.

ADavid Brown Enterprises
Since we live over 2 hours away we were hoping to find someone we could trust to handle all aspects of renovation and care of the property. David and his wife have gone above and beyond our expectation and we highly recommend them for any project. All work has been done to our satisfaction and all sub contract work has been closely monitored by David. He is also very diligent in acquiring the best price even if it means taking his time to meet with several people for bids. In addition his rates are reasonable and fair. They have been very easy to work with and have been great about working with our time schedule in terms of doing things gradually at our pace. They were also helpful in the planning process bringing expertise of construction and design to help in decision process. We are very grateful to still be working with them to complete our second floor and other projects in the future.

AMatt's Maintenance & Remodeling
Matt and his men were excellent. He always followed up. There were some definate problem areas that needed problem solving. Matt talked with me about options, keeping in mind the cost. He completed the work in a timely fashion. When I called him about some mortar that was dripped on the paver bricks he came out the day after I called and removed the splatter. There was not a lot of splatter, but enough that I noticed. He also took off the rough edges of the steps so that my 1 year old grandsons would no longer get scratched when crawling up them. There is still a problem with the laminate bubbling up. He and I discussed options. He wanted to check with other experts in this field to see what would be the most effective way to resolve this problem. He still needs to get back with me on this problem. The man I hired to do the initial installation of the laminate was the only person I hired who was not on Angie's List....I will never so that again. Everyone I hired through Angie's List to do various jobs were professional, competent and resonable. Live and learn! Matt will continue to be the go-to person in the future. I trust him, his men, and the job they do.

Recent Review: Absolutely Amazing job! Professional, quick, and tidy! We are renovating and began tearing up the floors ourselves. When it took about 3 hours to remove 15 square feet- bits and pieces of the 20+ year old laminate, and glue stilled remained, with dust everywhere, we called Charles who immediately came to our rescue! They just finished the job and it was worth every penny! We cannot thank Speedy Floor Removal enough!!
Recent Review: My experience with them was really good. They were really attentive to what I wanted to do with the floor which has been damage by water. They really did a wonderful job. They were great guys and worked very hard. They made sure that the grout was the right color because it was not the right color to begin with. They made it right without charging anything else. Their clean up was pristine. I will recommend them. They were not the least expensive but certainly they were not the most.

Recent Review: Mr. Crane (the owner), personally came with his assistant and did the installation. It is a tough, messy job, but they were very professional, courteous and kept a neat jobsite. Mr. Crane is a pleasure to deal with and took the time to answer all our questions and address any concerns we had. He uses floor cement and other products that are non-allergenic and enviornmentally friendly, and that made the job much easier to live with. We did not have any odors from the floor cement, and they always cleaned up after. We would be pleased to recommend Joseph Crane to anyone and would certainly use him in the future for any flooring needs.
