Recent Review: Upon first meeting with Jose as a prospect for the home improvement projects that I was looking to have done, he was the only potential provider that showed confidence in the vision I had for the project. After choosing to move forward with him, the planning process was easy, and quick to complete. Being that the home was built in the 1950's, the walls are made up of cement, chain mesh, etc., which meant an immense amount of labor for a home project. The bathroom, which was incredibly small originally, held a laundry room on the other side of the bathroom wall separating the two rooms; the wall was knocked down to make one large bathroom. This entailed an exterior door that led to the laundry room being closed up and meshed with the rest of the homes exterior, as well as leveling the two floors (with a proper slope for the shower area)to ensure fluidity in the room. He then did all of the drywall, texture matching, a shower bench, as well as tile in the shower and bathroom floor. The bathroom floor was something I was originally concerned about, as it was a hexagonal pattern that I wanted laid a certain way for a custom design. With little direction, it was designed laid exactly how I wanted it to be. As for the kitchen, it was originally a galley style kitchen, closed in by three walls- which I wanted to be opened up to where it was a continuous flow to the living room. This entailed knocking down a load-bearing wall, providing a support beam, wrapping the beam in drywall, etc. In addition, the stove that was purchased for the kitchen remodel required venting that would need to be placed under the kitchen cabinets, connecting to the wall, up and out through the roof. Again, this was done properly and efficiently. The back splash that was chosen for the kitchen was also placed by New Aura, which was also hexagonal, and again, turned out beyond expectation. Lastly, the dining room tile that was placed by this company, which meant that they had to remove old tile that was original to the home, and replace the tile that was chosen for the room. There are no "awkward cuts" in the room, meaning, no small pieces that makes it look as though the tile pieces weren't planned out properly. All of the pieces were placed evenly and symmetrically. Something that was incredibly important to me was that not only Jose, but his entire team was nothing but kind, helpful, and honest. Good, hard working people. This is a huge factor in maintaining comfort while having people in your house 24/7 during a home renovation project. Without hesitation, I would recommend Jose and his team for any construction projects that a prospective client may have. This recommendation seems all positive, but that's because the whole experience truly was- and finding people that are this hard working, honest, and reasonable, are difficult to come by, so I'd like to give them as much recognition as possible. Personally, I plan to use this company for every potential project moving forward, without question.
