Recent Review: When the old roof shingles were removed, rafter damage was found. The workers called the owner, Richard. Richard came to the house to discuss the additional work needed. Richard assured me the work could be completed the same day even if he had to send out more guys to finish the job. He invited me on the roof to see first-hand the additional work required. He said if I couldn't get on the roof, he could take pictures to show me. I did go on the roof and Richard explain the work and answered all my questions. The final cost was less than he originally quoted to me. I rated the price fair because $3000 for such a small area of repair seems expensive to me but I think I would have paid this price for any reputable roofer I chose. We have not had any additional leaks in that area of the roof.

Higher price than our other quotes, but looking back now that the work is done very happy we decided to go with Covenant Roofing & Construction. The team that put the roof on did MORE than expected - job was completed in good time and without surprises. Fit and Finish was well done - cleanup was great.

Recent Review: Their estimator arrived promptly on the date and at the time specified and presented the estimate in professional manner..  He was affable, easy to converse with, and left a very favorable impression.  The estimate was acceptable and the job was awarded to Total Home.  The next contact was with their Production Manger, who scheduled the job and once the job began was the daily contact.  He, too, performed his service efficiently keeping me informed of what problem they were uncovering and the actions to be taken.  his crew worked diligently, appeared to be well experienced in what they did, and cleaned up the site at the end of each work day.  The job required 39 squares and four days for completion.  We are in our dry season and it maybe sometime before the roof is put to the test, however, I anticipate no problems and if a problem were to occur, I have every reason to expect that Total Home will stand behind its guarantee.

This company did a great job. There were no problems. They were professional in every way. The work was completed about a month after the contract was signed, and in my case was done in one day, although I know two days is the norm. This included removing of old solar heating pipes on the roof, and my decision to install Weatherlock G underlayment throughout the roof rather than in just certain areas especially prone to leaking. The roof has had no leaks or other problems since it was installed and passed the Windstorm Mitigation inspection to allow for lower insurance rates.

I am a first time home buyer, and was under duress to acquire insurance for the house because the insurance company wouldn't insure without a new roof, or a contract for a new roof with a certain amount of time. The first company I contacted couldn't replace the roof within the time period specified by the insurance company. Campbell Roofing was referred to me by my realtor, who was given their name by another realtor. Personally, I will not refer this company to anyone. I needed to have the requirements (hurricane clips and straps) of my insurance company met in order to get as many roof credits as possible to insure the best possible insurance rate. I conveyed this information to BRIAN HOLT (my sales person) and was told to meet with the supervisor of the job when they got started, and go over this information with him. I was told I would be called with the date when they planned to get started. That did not happen. I hadn't moved in yet, and just happened to take a few friends over on a Sunday afternoon to get a preview of where I was moving to, and discovered the roofers were already into Day 2 of the job, and had gone for the day. Most of the new roof in the front was already in place. I called Brian about not meeting with the roofers, and he simply refused to "see" how not having met with the roofers and explained what my insurance company needed was a problem for me. Then, I moved in prematurely so I would get a chance to talk to the roofers. There were no phone calls telling me when they would be there. The following weekend there was a knock on the door by a young Hispanic man who told me to move my car from the carport so they could work there. He didn't introduce himself. They didn't have a Campbell company truck. All the men were Hispanic, and only one of them was wearing a company T-shirt. I was promised a roof inspection by Brian (included in the price) by an inspector they hired, after the roof was completed for my insurance company. I had to make repeated phone calls and emails to get that inspection to happen. When the inspector, KEVIN BOYER, finally scheduled and came to do the inspection he only did a partial inspection. He refused to go up into the attic space, saying he could see everything he needed to from outside, and that my roof didn't qualify for any roof credits. (NOT TRUE, my insurance agent told me) It took a few more weeks for him to get the results to me and to my insurance agent. My insurance agent told me the inspection report was inaccurate, incomplete,  and didn't include the photos that Brian took of the roof while in progress, and notified both Campbells and the inspector, stating what he need for a full report. More weeks later and we still don't have a full inspection report for my insurance company. I once again contacted Brian and he assured me he would make sure it happened. Two weeks later - still waiting...NOTE: Kevin Boyer's inspection license had been expired a month when he did the job. I reported this to Campbell Roofing and didn't hear peep about it. So, in my experience Brian Holt is a very unprofessional sales person and not a man of his word. If I had had Angie's List prior to buying a house I could have found good reliable businesses to do my repair work. I highly recommend  acquiring an Angie's List membership. Personally, I would have saved a lot of money and energy. P.S. The new roof was installed at the end of July, 2014. Immediately, there was a really bad odor of roof pitch throughout the entire house. All three of us (two cats and myself) in the house developed respiratory issues. As the weather became increasingly warmer in August the stench of the pitch became unbearable. First, it burnt my nostrils. Then my throat. Then it started burning my lungs.  I even rushed my one cat to the emergency clinic due to breathing difficulties. He had developed  a viral infection. When I came home from the vet I knew there was nothing else to do but shut off the A.C. and open all the doors and the windows for fresh air until the pitch burnt off. And we endured the rest of the hot summer months without A.C.  because the pitch still remained an issue until the weather cooled off. In conclusion, if you're a first time home buyer, or are going to need repairs done to your house/buildings make sure you have good references for house inspectors, for roofers, for electricians, for AC techs, for plumbers well before you need them so you won't have to settle because of being pressured by your insurance company, or an emergency situation.

22 square Timberline HD Weather Stopper system 50yr I have needed a roof replacement for a while, but it recently became an emergency. This was on a Thurs morning. John called back within an hr, was here for the inspection within 2, and gave an estimate toward the lower end of some of my previous estimates ($6900-$11700). On Fri, permits were pulled and materials ordered and delivered. Sat 7:20A - 7:30P, a crew of 4 or 5 pretty much worked non-stop. Good cleanup too. Roof looks great! I know that my situation of getting a roof installed within 60 hrs of placing a call is mostly lucky timing, I would not hesitate to recommend Iron City Construction based on their overall handling of the process and professionalism.

I was very happy with the entire experience thanks to Thomas and his crew. Thomas started by looking at the roof answering any questions I had about the process, something that he continued to do via email long before I had even decided to hire him. He then provided an *itemized* estimate, from bare bones reroof to all the upgrades and options, which is not something provided by any other company I contacted. The entire process took two days, one full day for stripping the old shingle and repairing the decking, and most of a day to install the new shingles. The crew was minimally disruptive throughout and took care to contain any roof debris around the house. Once the work was completed, Thomas met with me again to address any final concerns and even personally cleaned up anything that didn't meet *his* level of satisfaction. Additionally, he had someone come out afterwards and fix the one issue I *did* have with the work done (slight gap between soffit and fascia on a "problem" part of the house). The final cost was well within what I expected to pay considering the amount of decking that needed to be repaired, and I felt like Thomas was *more* than fair and transparent with his invoicing for additional materials. Considering what I headache I expected the project to be, Thomas made the entire process pain free and comparatively cheap. I would absolutely hire him again for any roof work I need done in the future.

Excellent job, performed very quickly. Special care was taken to take off the old roof and get rid of the material with minimum mess. I got 5 quotes, and needed to get the job done immediately. Nick gave a very competitive quote and was able to start in 2 days.

Dale was prompt for the estimate. The cost was right for my budget. I had already chosen the color/style of the shingles from the manufacturers website. They placed me on the schedule for January. I wanted a couple months to pass before they started which fit both our schedules. They called me at the end of January as agreed and started the project the next day. There was a crew of six employees who arrived on time, were always courteous, and obviously experienced at their career field and I didn't have to be bilingual. They tore the old roof off, inspected for damage and replace the roof with new materials including vents and caps. They were finished in three days. Everyday they would clean up before leaving. Their supervisor, Mike, was courteous, experienced and kept me informed of all the fazes of the job and answered all my questions. When the job was complete Mike took care of the paperwork while his crew cleaned up. When they left the roof and home looked like new again and nothing was damaged. I made the right choice.

AThe Roofing Company
I’ll admit I am a bit anal and can over research stuff. So when I was about to spend $24K on a new roof I might have gone a bit overboard. I started by researching all the roofing companies in my area and made a list. I checked BBB, Angie’s Lists, and read other reviews. I short listed it down to 6 roofing companies. One company noted they were extremely busy and could not give me an estimate for several weeks. Another explained that I was just outside their area and they have enough work closer to their office. I was now down to 4 companies to get quotes from. Array’s Roofing came in almost 25% higher than the next guy’s price. So I ruled them out. This left me with AUGUSTO ROOFING, THE ROOFING COMPANY, and TERRANCE MCKEEVER ROOFING. All three came highly recommend. All three were within 10% of each other. Next came the interviews. I met with all three of them and asked my dozens of questions. At the end of this exercise I could honestly say that all three would most likely do an excellent job. So how did we decide? It was their contract terms and the amount of money they wanted up front. We went with THE ROOFING COMPANY. They required a very small deposit up front. They also charged less than others to replace any damaged plywood. They only require payment once they were 100% done. They also supplied me with a final lien waiver from the supplier before they asked me to pay them (very important). Chris (the Owner) dropped of a variety of samples and colors. Once we short listed our choices he gave us addresses of house that had the same color of shingle installed. This helped us select the right color. Once we finalized the color we set up an installation date (about 6 weeks out). Every Friday I got a phone call with a schedule update confirming that they were still on schedule. Once they started they used tarps on the ground to cover up the landscaping and catch all the debris that will come of the roof during this exercise. I walked the roof numerous times during the re-roof to confirm that all the materials that we agreed too were being used. I also wanted to review the quality of their work and confirm the nail pattern. All was good. Also, one lesson that I can share with you was there are three big shingle manufacturers in the Tampa, Florida area (Owens Corning, GAF, and Certainteed). They all have their marketing bling on why they are the best. So identifying all their pluses and minus can be difficult. What I found out that is most important is the company that is installing them. A bad company can screw up the best shingles. If installed properly, any of the three manufacturers will last you a very long time. I wanted to wait a couple of months and let a few good thunder storms come by to test the new roof before I provided any feedback. The new roof is leak free and looking good. So I can't comment on their warranty department since I have not had any claims. Bottom line, we could not have been happier with our choice. Chris was incredibly patient with us and very comfortable to work with. I would highly recommend THE ROOFING COMPANY to friends and family. I hope this review helps you and good luck on your new roof!
