Recent Review: Can not say enough good things about Lisa and her staff. Professionals to the max. Very high quality work in all areas, every day made significant progress and cleaned up at the end of the day (we were not even present but had condo management and neighbors checking in on and they were all super impressed). We live in an older building so there have been many, many renovations (ours is the second one, previous owners did in 2006) so management at condo has seen a lot of renovations and said some of the best work they have seen - and so prompt and professional. We were not even present and are two extremely busy professionals and Lisa managed to keep us in the loop and the job was done smoothly and on time. We could not be happier with the outcome.

Mr. Honey-Do
Award 2018Super Service Award
Recent Review: They arrived on time for the two days they were at the house. My brother and I constructed the wall in the garage to separate the laundry area but wanted to have the finish work done by professionals. Mr. Honey-Do was a smart choice. The work required two separate days to allow for dry time of the plaster coats. I am very happy with the results and would hire again for future work. Upon further review, I did spot unfinished work in the attic. It was hidden during the first review but I checked the attic wiring later. The rolled insulation was rolled up to install the light but they never put the insulation back in place. Also the wiring was not fastened correctly to the attic floor but instead just left laying haphazardly around the attic floor. I would not expect these two failures from a professional electric contractor.

Recent Review: We hired this contractor to do what we believed were simple repairs and rennovations at our house.  One door (our main door) was purchased by him AND painted, only to discover when he finally tried to hang the door that the hinges didn't line up (so it wasn't the right door).  That's currently leaning unused in our garage (along with the lock we also had to pay for).  The side garage door he installed was okay, but the lock line up on the trim that he also rebuilt was not done correctly (per a home inspector we had to hire for the roof problems he caused).  But the real nightmare is the damage he caused to our roof truss system when he installed what was suppose to be a simple attic walkway above the garage area.  We hired the home inspectors to check the integrity of the work and the report states that our attic could collapse at any time now because this contractor cut pie-shaped wedges (I've attached photos of his handiwork) into three consecutive roof trusses (trusses needed for the support of our roof system) while installing the walkway.  This was how he resolved accomodating the house wiring!  We now have a damaged roof system heading into hurricane season in Florida. and are now scrambling to find someone who has the time during this very busy season to repair it before everything collapses. Although he has a Building Contractor's license with the county, it's clear he doesn't know what he's doing.  I would not use this contractor for even the simplest task.

Coastal Living Remodelers
Recent Review: Coastal Living is an outstanding company to work with, and I would recommend to anyone. I was helping to renovate my mother's house in FL, while she stayed with family in the area. Because I live in NY, all of the work had to be coordinated by phone/email. While going through the scope of work and design process, Tim was very responsive and offered great suggestions regarding what we wanted to accomplish. All of the finishes and final layout were decided over the phone. Tim and Glenn worked closely with my mother to make sure all of the work met her satisfaction, and helped answer any questions she had. They were very responsive, and very accommodating. This is the same with all of the subcontractors they hired during the renovation. Their standard of quality is also very high, as shown in their completed work. The schedule was longer than first anticipated, but was communicated during the process. We have already hired Coastal Living for another project, and look forward to working with them more in the future. Great company!

DDwayne Faulkner - TNT Carpentry
I chose TNT , to a large degree. based on the Angie's List reviews. I don't know how he could have received good reviews my experience was very different. I wanted trim put up in areas where sliding glass doors and windows were removed. I explained I would paint them later. Dwayne installed pine boards and since then I have had other contractors ask why he did that as pine needs a lot of finish work in order to paint. When Dwayne arrived we were discussing the work and I said there were 4 area to put drywall, Dwayne said there were 2, I looked at the contract he sent and it was my mistake but he said he would do it anyway. As it turned out I had already bought the 3 sheets of 4x10 so all he had to d was cut and glue up. When he finished he said ' I didnt have time to finish the area above the windows' IMO he used the excuse of doing it as an extra to half-ass it. These areas were approx 3 foot high by 5 foot wide and he put it up as two pieces with a seam in the middle !!! He said he was in a hurry ( I later noticed he uses that excuse a lot) so I gave the work a quick lookover and he left. He stated the ceiling work would dry and blend in but it didnt in one area it looked like a big scar across teh ceiling. I sent him an email and his immediate response was ' that looks like water damage' although he eventually came back and looked and agreed to re do the obviously poor work . He also agreed to finish the seams above the windows and repair some other poor work I pointed out like joints that were over 1/8 of an inch off and just left etc. When he came back re resprayed some areas of the ceiling and slapped some wood filler on the joint that was off. He explained it by saying ' the wood wouldn't go down so thats all I can do' When I asked him about finishing above teh windows he said he thought I said I was going to do that ( if so why would I hire him?) I said no, I said i MAY start on it as it was going to be a week or more before he came back. He just left anyway and I was actually glad to see him go , I dont think he has the expertise to do finish work , he seems like he just swings a big hammer. I tried to add two pictures , I cant tell if they made it the website make it difficult PS I have had popcorn repairs done before by a company that specializes in that and when they were done you couldn't tell it was repaired. Unfortunately I cant remember the name but I will need to find it because even after Dwayne finished the second time , it still looks unprofessional, like a homeowner did it. In one word, the work is sloppy. There were areas he

Larry came in, learned what we wanted done, and gave us a fair estimate. He came back two days later to do the work. He had one helper and both knew exactly what to do. They worked fast and efficiently and the job, when done was very good.

APRECISION INTERIOR TRIM
He did an awesome job! Tony is polite, professional, courteous, and very detailed in finishing and matching stain/paint to existing house. He did everything we discussed. I would not only highly recommend him to others, but I have already spoken to him about our next project after the holidays. Tony did such an awesome job for a very reasonable price that I am going to have him finish the other rooms in my home.
