Recent Review: They were able to come out in about 4 hours which was awesome.  The man I spoke with on the phone was very nice and personable.  He said that the service call was going to be $65 to change both locks and hardware, which was reasonable (cheap, actually), and also was what I thought they charged per hour.  He was here about 1.5 hours and the bill was $195, which was for the service call and 2 hours labor.  I bill in 15 minute increments in my line of work but I guess I should have asked for better clarification. The gentleman that came out was great.  Nice guy and eager to please.  He knew what he was doing and made absolutely sure we were happy with the work he performed. I would definitely use them again, but I will make sure that we determine what the charges will be before they come out. Once again, great work, just was sort of caught off guard with the bill.

Recent Review: Excellent. I couldn't find a company to switch my security system over from a monitored system to a non-monitored system. Monitech stepped up to the bat. They told me it would could $452 for the equipment and labor. They were right on the money. Darren, the tech, was the best. He was patient, friendly, and thorough. He changed the system over, checked all the window and door sensors, and the motion sensors.

Recent Review: I called Definately Different because a personal friend has used them for rental house repairs and had been very pleased with their work even though some more recent Angie's list reviews were not so favorable. I must say we are very satisfied with our experience of their work in our house this week. Steve came out with his co-worker, Robert to meet with us about the things we needed done. He was here at the time he said he would be. I explained we needed to enlarge some doors for wheelchair access and I wanted to improve our lighting. Steve spent a lot of time with us on that first meeting, making sensible suggestions and noting what had to be done. I showed him some other things and asked to make the projects we had in mind into a couple different estimates as we needed some things right away, but screen projects I wanted later when I save a little more money towards it. He did a few things that day and we agreed on a price and set the date for work to begin the next week. We agreed on and signed a contract When the day came to do the work, Steve and Robert arrived as scheduled on time. They worked hard from 11:00 AM until 8:00PM the first day. They had torn out the old doors, replaced them, added the lights and remotes and light bulbs and door handles. The work took longer than I had imagined but I think that's always the case when you start projects. They never sat around wasting time and only took a shirt lunch break. I'm sure they deserved a better break. But it was getting late and with a few things left to do, they cleaned everything up and left with a promise to return and complete it when I was available the day after next ( I had plans the following that they could have come). The day we had agreed on to finish came and Steve and Robert were again on time. They completed everything from about 9:30 AM to around 2:00 PM. They had fixed my out side posts which meant supporting the structural roof on the back patio with boards while they chiseled out old, rusted metal foot supports and then replaced them, fixed the tile exposed under the wider doors and completed a door. Steve settled payment with me through my credit card and his PayPal account on my Ipad, his phone and his office right there. They had cleaned up everything, probably left some ares cleaner than when they started. All in all, Steve seems to know what he is doing and cares about his work. His assistant, Robert was very nice and did many projects with Steve and seemed very conscientious also. They have reason to be proud of their vocation. In my opinion, people sometimes expect work these days for very little or next to nothing. I don't find that this exists. I don't know why recent reviews were so bad previously as I did not have any problems. All I can think is some people tend to have unrealistic expectations. Steve did say he has had some previous trouble with employees he found he could not trust and are no longer with him. We were happy with his work. I have hired other people before to do other projects who have not completed or done shoddy work. Steve was Definately Different and we will call him again in the future because I have a long and quot; honey-do listand quot;. I
