Right Touch Painting
Recent Review: Chris responded immediately when referred to us by our realtor.  We were anxious to move into our newly bought home that needed popcorn ceilings removed and the entire house painted.  As we progressed we realized we needed things done that we hadn't considered, Chris was never fazed by these plan changes and gave us a very fair price and time frame.  Chris and his crew were always there when he said he would be, which is huge when remodeling is being performed,  When we have a problem that needs immediate care, we call Chris.  He can do most everything at a more reasonable price than anyone else we have found.  A great handyman for any job.

HALL'S DRYWALL & HOME REPAIR
Recent Review: A++++++++   This company has restored my faith in humanity!!!  After some very unsatisfactory encounters with several 'professionals' last summer, we joined Angie's List in the hopes of saving ourselves some grief and money in the future.  I am happy to say that we made a good decision and were VERY impressed with Hall's Drywall and Home Repair from start to finish.  Within 2 hours of my first phone call, someone was here to provide an estimate. On a SATURDAY NIGHT!  I was concerned about the only other 'review' on Angie's List that was an 'F', but was willing to take a chance as we needed the work done ASAP.  Not only did Mr. Hall Jr. set my mind at ease after explaining the previous reviewer's misunderstanding, but showed me many photos of his excellent work, and provided several impressive references.  We had a couple of small areas of staining as well as a large area (we tried to patch ourselves) on our popcorn ceiling from some minor roof leaks several years ago.  The roof has since been replaced, and it was time to properly fix the stained and patched areas.  The repaired areas are absolutely flawless - If I did not know there had been damaged areas there before, I certainly would not be able to tell.  We are just THRILLED with the work....not to mention, the professionalism!  All work areas were protected and everything was cleaned up afterward.  We will most definitely be using this service again for other home repairs!!! Highly recommend!!!

Recent Review: Tony Lyke is a consummate professional when it comes to dry wall and ceilings. I contacted him via Angie's List and he came by for the estimate. Tony went through every room looking over the ceilings and making suggestions about possible repairs that were needed beyond getting rid of the popcorn ceilings. Tony advised us of the furniture and knickknacks we needed to move out and that some damage to wallpaper may occur from the draping process. He told my wife and me that we would need to move out of the house for 5 days so he could complete the job. We had to move out because he was draping the entire house and doing the wet removal method. We picked a time that worked for both of us and we moved out of the house. As it turned out Tony only needed 4 days to complete the work and the ceiling were amazing. My wife and I could not be happier. We highly recommend Tony Lyke for any drywall or ceiling work.

Recent Review: Jason is wonderful to work with and handles all renovation needs. We needed renovations completed on our house ASAP, and he was the only contractor that got back to me. He was able to start right away, and we are very happy with the results. He always has helpful suggestions, and we actually had him work on additional projects. I would recommend!

Recent Review: Considering the damage situation, the result was about as good as could be expected. There was some weather delay because of dampness, and that unfortunately required a return the next day to finish. Therein lies my displeasure with the charging practices of Mr. Handyman. They charge $148 for the first hour and $24 per quarter hour after that. However if the job runs over, like mine did, they charge another $148 for the first hour, even though it is only a continuation of the work that was begun but not finished the day before. The job was estimated at about 4 hours, beginning at 11:15 am on the first day but it stopped at 3:15 that afternoon. The next day there were two more hours to finish the job. I would use this provider in the future if I could get a firm price for the job up front, and not be unsure of the final price until the whole job was finished.

GRANDPA CAN FIX IT
Recent Review: The tile installation was excellent. They installed the tile on the porch surface, the edge of the porch, and on the steps. This was a very professional installation and very high quality work. There were delays in getting the work done, but it was a good quality job and looks great! The framing and hardiboard installation below the sunroom was a quality job for 95 percent of the work. Some attention to detail was superior, while some areas on the side were not. Grandpa gave us an estimate on materials and we had everything delivered, but he overestimated the 2 by 4s and hardiboard by a ton. He did take all the extra materials back and brought back a refund to me. The job took much longer than planned, due to Grandpa not coming every day. He did not inform me when he was not coming. Communications was probably a C. The Ceiling work took about 3 hours total. I think the mud on the ceiling was not dry enough before he applied the Orange Peel, so I will have to finish that, but he left me one of the Orange Peel cans.

Recent Review: All work went extremely well--Carlos and his assistant are very efficient, thorough, and pleasant to work with. When he finished the work contracted for, plus a few extras I didn't expect, he had some time left over and asked what else he could do. I was thinking he might touch up some areas on the windows and doorways, instead he quickly patched and painted the whole frames. I'm hoping to figure out a good time to have him back soon and paint the kitchen! His wife's good review on Angie's List was a plus for me, and I'm very glad to have found him.

DSeaco Renovations Design & Build LLC
For 2 months, my master bath has been a construction zone. The contract period was 30 days, with an estimated completion time of 2.5 - 3 weeks. The contractor abandoned the job on Friday, March 18, 2016. I have no sink or shower faucets, no shower enclosure or door, no wiring for 2 sconces, no sconces, thus no light, no countertop for the cabinets, no installed cabinet doors, a drawer bank that was not what I had specified, no operable exhaust fans, no trim around doors, no trim on a shower wall, no final paint on the walls, no paint on the baseboards or doors, no operable toilet, no operable bidet, and no running water. With respect to employees and subcontractors on the job, only one was professional in demeanor and only one performed quality work. He quit after 2 weeks. Of the five employees (handymen), three stated this was their first day on the job. As to the contractor, he makes promises that are not kept; he does not listen or respond to verbal requests, explanations or descriptions regarding work plans; and he is habitually hours late in arriving on the job site. Mr. Merritt attempted the job with no plan drawing, even though I requested such, with specifications, numerous times before and during the job. He wrote bad checks to employees, who walked off the job mid-project. I could go on, but, to summarize, my experience with Seaco Renovations Design & Build, LLC and its owner, Don Merritt, was a stressful, nightmarish, regrettable disaster. And I must now spend approximately $5,000 to complete the work I paid to be done but was not delivered. I have soft and/or hard copies to document all the above.
