Recent Review: The service was okay. The install took a little time. I felt that what was advertised, and what I received wasn’t exactly what I ordered. I think I should’ve been given the choice if I wanted that product, or if I wanted something different. They workers were professional, and they worked as long as they could to finish the job. I would recommend them to others
Recent Review: I was searching for a cheaper alternative to home security monitoring. My family and I are on a tight budget, and we could not afford the steep charges from Suddenlink and other local home security providers for their systems. The two things causing the services to be so expensive were: (a) the cost of the monthly phone service we would need, since we don't have home phone service, and (b) the cost of the monitoring itself. We would had to pay about $80 a month, or more with these traditional companies! Thankfully I found NextAlarm after some careful googling. They are a fraction of the price of any of their competitors. Their system appeals to me, because it uses the internet rather than a phone line, saving lots of money. Their monitoring itself (done in the traditional way, with real people in a dispatch office) is also substantially cheaper on top of that. I paid $250 for the home security kit and now I only pay $13.50 per month for the monitoring! Its so cheap that the costs are literally offset entirely by the savings to my homeowner's insurance premium. The support staff at NextAlarm are great. They are so patient, and they will help you with anything related to your system. I have called them numerous times with little questions about this or that, and they are always super nice and knowledgable. They even walk you through how to make changes to your security system, step-by-step, when you want to change delay or change the programs. Please make note of the fact that they do not have a local installer to do the installation. The third-party vendor who offers an and quot;Instal cardand quot; will not be able to install your service in East Texas (they will refund your money once they see where you need the installation). Point being, you will need to hire a local handyman to install the home security system for you. As I already mentioned, I used Stephan du Toit -- (www.facebook.com/professionalhandymanservices). He charged my $60. Besides that little hiccup, NextAlarm is amazing. In summary, I love my service. I hope more people in my area sign up with them. It is such a great deal and they're so great!
Recent Review: Purchased and installed 8 outdoor IP cameras & a NVR. Outstanding service all the way from the quote to the install & post-installation support. More expensive than buying cameras from a big box store, but the quality of the equipment, camera site, positioning, installation and setup is well worth it. True professionals!
Recent Review: Everything went great. I got the system a few days later and started to install it. All the devices were easy to put up all told it took about 45 minutes to get up and running. During the install I set the alarm off and Getsafe called me right away. I like the way it looks in my home and by that I mean I hardly notice it is there. I like being able to control the system from my phone and being able to check on my house with the camera when I am away.
Recent Review: It started with the name Pinnacle. It started going downhill maybe when somebody else bought it. My husband picked them. He had a cold call and then he went with it. I think we had another system at that time.

APowers Protection, Inc.
We contacted Powers Protection, Inc. while our home was under construction for CCTV cameras and Security Alarm System install. We received a fantastic bid from them. We hired them to prewire the home with CCTV cabling and Security alarm hard-wire to eventually install four (4) CCTV security cameras and DVR which we owned. Holland pre-wired the home for the CCTV cameras and security system during the construction phase. When the home was completed, Holland returned and installed the cameras and the hardware connections for the security system, which included a keypad, siren, etc. He did a fantastic job with the install. After he completed the work, he went into detail explaining how the system works and what to do if there ever was a problem. Jon and Ruth are great and easy to work with. They obviously have a well trained tech in Holland. I would highly recommend Powers Protection, Inc. for all of your needs, Security, Fire, CCTV, 24 Hour monitoring, etc. Office Phone: 352-746-3500 powersprotection.com

ASAFE TOUCH SECURITY SYSTEMS
The sales associate fully explained everything that would need to be done for the upgrade. Both he and the installer were courteous. Installation took longer than anyone expected (several hours), but he stuck with it until it was right. So far we have no complaints.

FASI ADVANCED SECURITY INC
We really didn't like the attitude of the owner of this company - from the first time we met him. We felt he was arrogant and condescending towards us - but he was strongly recommended to us by our insurance agent so against our better judgement and since we were new to town and didn't know anyone else - we went ahead with him. Turned out that the original installer/service tech in 2007 was so unfamiliar with the GE Concord system and created such a nightmare of jumbled birdsnest wiring (unknown to us at the time) that when we had a lightning strike in 2011 and over $1000 worth of repairs were necessary - we had to pay ASI's labor charges again to get some of the original messy work redone so the repairs could be effected. In other words their own work couldn't be repaired unless we paid for some of it to be redone a 2nd time !!! At that time we paid what we considered to be astronomical amounts to replace 2 GE 60-820 touchpads - $150 ea + labor. These are available online for $53 and even far less but we were forced to buy the keypads and other repair parts from ASI. They refused to allow us to source the parts ourselves and just pay them for installation. The service techs that subsequently came out to do the lightning repairs couldn't believe the quality of the original installation. The original work was supposed to have been overseen by the owner of ASI himself. That should tell you everything you need to know. We used ASI's 3rd party monitoring for years but recently got fed up giving business to someone we dislike so vehemently and decided to cancel - only to find out that in order to terminate the agreement we had to pay to get out of the contract which we have now done. We feel we were duped in Feb of 2011 into signing a one year monitoring contract when in fact the original, annually self renewing contract should have either been still in force or its' original anniversary date should have be honored. That stunt created a new contract period which meant we had to pay more in early termination fees. Beware of the early termination fees on alarm contracts and be sure to check the fine print. Everything is negotiable. You could easily get stuck signing a monitoring contract which could cost you a lot of money in early termination fees. We disagreed with ASI's calculations of the amount owned for early termination. We paid a lesser amount then that demanded by ASI. As it turned out it was going to cost us even more money to switch providers because ASI refused to give the new alarm company or us the master programming code to allow the new technician to get into the system. ASI insisted on charging us a service call to restore the factory code which we refused. There was no way we were paying ASI another dime even if it meant we had to spend money on a new module. But as it turns out in another example of why it was a wise move on our part to terminate ASI - they never changed the factory programming code so the tech at our new alarm company was able to get into the system and that saved us $100. We would never deal with ASI Advanced Security Inc. again and as of today 6/4/13 we are thrilled to report that we have terminated our relationship with ASI and have a new, highly professional and very capable alarm service and monitoring company looking after us. In their initial check of the system, our new provider made a number of changes including replacing faulty and outdated components and setting up regular self tests of the system's dial out module so that we know the system's communication features are working correctly.

CHANDY MEN ELECTRIC
They came to install my security cameras after I received a very reasonable quote. Guy parked his truck blocking my car the first day, so I asked him if he could move the truck so he wasn't blocking me. He came back the second day and did it again. Bill asked if I planned on leaving and I told him I wanted to be able to get out quickly if there was an emergency since I have an elderly mother. The first day they arrived, it was drizzling so they left to go get coffee and came back an hour or two later to tell me we had to reschedule. So they left two cameras with wires hanging down that were obvious to passers by that they were not connected and could be removed. I asked Bill to come back out and hide the wires, which he did. They came back to finish the job as scheduled. Bill was loudly hocking and spitting in my yard periodically which was quite distracting since I was working from home that day. Bill discovered vermiculite insulation in the attic. He drilled a hole in the ceiling as I requested for the wires to be fed from the attic. However there was a big hole that I later had to fill with foam because a huge pile of this vermiculite kept accumulating on my floor until I plugged the hole. Bill had swept some up and dumped in my butterfly garden right outside my door instead of the trash. Finally, when I went to plug everything in, I discovered that one of the coaxial cables had lost its pen during the installation. The end of the cord connector had been slightly mangled while they were trying to feed it through the soffit on the exterior of the house which appeared to be giving them a hard time for a while. I had to rig it with a staple bent in half to get a connection to that camera. When I asked Bill, as I was paying him, if they warranty the work, he acted as if once they did what they came to do, then anything that went wrong would likely be my error since all that was left was the DVR setup. They were punctual and dressed professionally. Overall they were friendly and the work was completed. So far everything has been working fine.

ANEEDHAM PLUMBING & ELECTRIC
Once we arrived at the home I found that I had sludge from the new well pump clogging all the water inlets and even though we cleaned them several times they still clogged up. We also found that we had no power in the garage for the garage door opener or the outlets/lights. Christian and Mike arrive at 8 am and worked till 2 pm... I haven't got the bill yet. They found that someone had cut all the wires in the garage attic - we all assumed for the copper - so they had to install junction boxes [get it to code] and rewire the lights, outlets - including for the garage door, they also installed a whole house water filter and ran the missing plumbing for the water softener... fixed the shower that wasn't working properly...once they got the wiring completed.. which included tracing which wires went to which outlets/lights, We found out that the fire alarms were hard wired and that the security system was now functioning as well as the outdoor motion lights and house lighting. The men were pleasant, professional, hard working even with yesterday's 100 degree weather... they got everything done and cleaned up everything before they left. I would use them again... I am expecting the bill to be reasonable for the time and effort spent as the first bill was in line.... any bill will be higher than I want, but free isn't an option.
