Recent Review: They were so expensive. They were excellent. I am thrilled with my doors. I have seen other products, compared other products, and the quality and engineering that goes into Anderson doors is amazing. They were just great. It looks beautiful. They come out and measure it. They take out what's here now and slide in the new unit. It is all engineered. I can't express enough the thought and design that goes into these doors. They open and close with precision. The hinges are all adjustable so that they can raise or lower the angle of the door in the frame, so when the door closes, it just glides in and almost closes itself. There is no spaces anywhere. The door closes, and it seals the interior and exterior environments, because there is weather stripping built in. You have to look at the door to appreciate how the door closes and seals. It doesn't just close, it just seals the house. Also, when you do the locks, they are interlinked inside the door. Most doors when you lock it, have a deadbolt that locks across. On my doors, when you have to deadbolt, there is a lock on the top, on the bottom, and the center lock that are all interconnected, and glide very easily without hesitation, rubbing, or friction. They all just fall into place and your door is secured by three, heavy, locks. The glass they use is superior. They use Fibrex, and it lasts longer than any of the vinyl doors that are out there. They also use argon gas in between the double pained windows. I am just so impressed with the product. It was worth it to me and is also a good selling point to the house. I planning to do four more windows in the next year if I can afford it. When I sit in my living room and look outside my new doors, I feel like the backyard is part of the house. It just opens it up. My old doors were boring and obscure.
