I started having trouble with my A/C one year ago, and Barineau has been to my house 6 times in a one year period. The number of phone calls and e-mails is much higher. A very clear pattern emerged - they replace something and my A/C works for a couple days to a month, and then they replace something else, and on it goes. The tech they kept sending me was professional but not polite, and I honestly can't say he is very good at his job. He just replaces stuff without really looking into the problem. Recently one morning, when I was trying to place my SEVENTH service call, they said I had to wait until the next day and there would be a $78 diagnostic fee. I had enough, and I tried to talk with the customer service representative. That was the end of my relationship with this company. She was condescending and made absolutely no effort to help. I thought surely someone would understand that having to get a tech out to my house SIX times (going on seven) in a one year period, and spending close to $1000 was just not acceptable. I wasn't even asking to get any money back, or have someone come to my house immediately. But you would think someone could get there at least on the same day. I ended up calling another company (and I'm glad I did). The tech was much more communicative about what was going on. Turned out one of the parts I bought from Barineau and paid them to install (less than two months ago) failed. I emailed them and said that I had gotten someone else, and said exactly what had happened. I also left my name and number for and quot;Mr. Barineauand quot; (the owner) to call me if he was interested in listening to a customer who had a very unpleasant experience... I got a very rude e-mail back from the customer service rep, and still no phone call from Mr. Barineau. Don't waste your time and money on Barineau. There are much better services available in Tallahassee.
