Recent Review: Wayne did a complete kitchen and bath remodel. Our home is older so we needed updating. Wayne with the Housurgeon has done many jobs for us. The two biggest being the kitchen and both bathrooms. He is meticulous in his work and you honestly will NOT find anyone that takes as much pride in their work and as much detail. He is a perfectionist. So if perfection is what you want, then you should call him. We found him to give us a fair estimate in comparison to other contractors. But honestly after seeing his work my husband and I both would tell you that we would pay a little extra to get him. We plan on doing a complete garage overhaul and we will be calling him for that as well. THANK YOU HOUSURGEON!

Recent Review: The work is beautiful and you couldn't ask for a more customer service oriented team.  Gary Eccher/owner kept us in the loop on every aspect of scheduling and installation.  Each crew showed up on time and committed to a professional job. Absolutely easy to work with. Gary wants every customer to be as delighted with the end result as possible and will do whatever it takes to be sure that happens. I don't think you will find any company easier to do business with. Just really nice folks to work with and these rooms are just beautiful!

Recent Review: The previous owners did us no favors when they updated the bathrooms in this house built in 1988. While installing some pretty tile they removed the original vanities and replaced them with pedestal sinks in two bathrooms (absolutely no storage, no counters). In this master bathroom they then tiled in and around the original corner shower but did nothing to extend it across the rest of the width of the room. This left about a square yard of wasted space. You almost had to open the shower door to bend over to wash your feet! We've been using a tub/shower in another bathroom for the past five years until we could get to this project. Our new shower is about 2 1/2 times larger with grab bars and a seat to accommodate adults who hope to live here until they are quite senior! Jand J's folks were very friendly and very flexible to accommodate our wishes (or tell us quite nicely that they were dumb or impractical ideas!) and went beyond the call of duty to find us just what was needed. Their part of the project is completed but the bathrooms aren't quite done yet (vanities on order). We'll be calling them back next year when the next major project will be new floors!

Recent Review: I initially spoke with Bill Becker to work on issues that were a result of our roof being replaced by another contractor.  We were getting rid of two skylights and also a cupola type structure on the house.  The house needed some exterior wood that was rotted to be removed and replaced.  Also I needed the ceilings and carpentry work to repair where the roof skylights and were removed.  Bill did a good job on the exterior work and he had to deal with some pretty tricky place to work (out over water and on small decks).  He was quick to identify any problems he saw such as electrical or other damage and let me know about it so I could decide what to do.  He also had recommendations on how to proceed which were always good to heed. Once he moved inside Bill had a couple employees he brought to assist.  We had identified a few areas in the ceiling that needed to be repaired and Bill started that work.  The project turned out to be much larger than we anticipated but Bill and I talked through the progress and the plans often.  I explained most of the work above so I am going to give you my opinion on why I chose Bill and why I gave him the scores I did. - Bill is more expensive than what you could get from some other contractors, but I think he also provides a better service for what I needed. - Bill is an honest contractor and could be trusted to give good advice and do what he said he would.  I gave Bill the key to my house for the entire 3 months he was working on the house.   This was a very big factor for me. -  Bill does the job right and doesn't take shortcuts.  He always let me know when he found something unexpected in the house or noticed something that was not up to code.  He let me make the decision on what to do and gave sound advice. -  No job was too small.  For example, he put trim around the microwave for me since it was something that bothered me, even though he didn't have any work in the kitchen.  On the other hand he can do some really big jobs and he has the right tools for every job.
