Recent Review: They did a good job. They charge by the day, so I hired them to do the shed one day and then had them help me clean up and organize the garage the next. The shed is holding up well.

Recent Review: David and Kyle arrived when they said they would. They used a good quality paint, and covered the area several times. Kyle took down an old metal shed filled with junk, loaded it all onto a trailer, and they hauled it away. Kyle repaired sagging fence. David installed a deadbolt in an outside door. This all took 2 days. I will call them back again.

Recent Review: Evans and Evans Construction did a fantastic job and our overall experience was excellent.   The structure was very unique.  Gary and his crew made the pump house look as if it had always been there. They worked efficiently, the quality was the best and at a very fair price.  Gary was straightforward to deal with, on time and worked the whole day.  When I compare Gary to other contractors we have used he is excellent!!

Recent Review: My cement guy gave me a list of three contractors who he said did good work for renovation and construction.  I gave the design for our renovation and building to each.  Huish Homes was the best bid not because of the cheapest price, but because it was most complete and the communication was easy and fluent.  Gabe Huish asked me multiple questions to insure he got it right and made good suggestions.  Communication with him has been very effective.  Working with others has been a problem for me due to their lack of communication skills so I appreciated working with Gabe from the start.  Even though sometimes he gets overwhelmed with the amount of work he does, he appreciates when I focus his attention and responds immediately.  This is important to me.  More important is that he accepts responsibility for his work and when there is a problem, he addresses it and corrects it.  Since no one does everything perfectly the first time, that he makes it right is a very good thing. The first work they did was to install a cork floor in our kitchen and they did it fast and nicely.  The next work was to transform our garage into a multi room with a new access way to our bathroom.  Then he clad our fireplace with tile and added a shelf and mantle.  We then built out an extension of a bedroom with walk-in closet.  In between, he added cabinetry and a mirror in the bathroom.  He handled the permits nicely and managed the sub contractors properly.  We are very satisfied with the work and the workers who are courteous and friendly. And he is a nice guy!  So we decided to ask them to assist in building out our horse stables.  I bought a shed roof and frame from a metal fabrication company and they added stalls and doors within it.  Although multiple persons had worked on this before they started the Huish crew fixed mistakes, remodeled areas that were not working, and all in all did a great job.  Some of our friends come by and tell us they have "barn envy."  They are now putting up a sun/rain roof around the perimeter of the barn. I definitely recommend this company.  I am very happy that I chose them!

I live in Maryland and rent out a double wide to tenants in Fort White Florida. The tenants had been complaining of exorbitant electric bills. I called Clay Electric out to the home to try and determine what was going on. They surmised it could be some sort of water leak. The trailer uses well water and the pump in the shed kept turning on and off constantly. I found David Brown Enterprises here on Angies List, and called them out to the home. David instantly determined the problem to be that 2 toilets were constantly running due to faulty flushing mechanisms. He replaced them and put in 2 brand new rubber flappers. He only charged me $95. The pump would constantly kick on and off to keep up with the running water. Now that the problem is fixed I'm hopeful the electric bill will be decreased dramatically. David could have taken advantage of my being an absentee landlord. However, he did not. In addition to being honest and knowledgable, his price was fair. When they simply returned my call they were already heads and shoulders above the crowd, as many contractors in Columbia County do not even return calls. I highly recommend David Brown Enterprises. ALawn And Handyman Service, Charles Smith
charles and wife jessica work together, sometimes teaming, sometimes splitting up to take on separate projects. they get a lot done in the time they're working. everything i've asked them to do has been done well. they work at a good pace (at 65 i hate to be outrunning/outworking the handyman 30 years younger), paying $20 an hour seems very fair to me, and i don't have a problem with the occasional five-ten minute break. some of the work i ask of them is heavy work. they've worked for me several days now. if i'm taking them a distance i pay the driving time, and if they are pulling their own riding lawn mower behind their van, i contribute to gas. i haven't found anyone in the area where my rentals are to work at such a reasonable price. and i haven't found many people who give consistently skilled labor--small plumbing fixes, change out a light switch that is getting worn, clean out a shed and move the various pieces of storage furniture around, move filing cabinets, lawn work, roof cleaning, tree trimming, sealing decks...this was a job that meant lifting the small but heavy wooden decks up to get at the grain underground. she's personable, he's serious, both friendly and effective.
