Reviews in Saint Augustine for Installing Retaining Walls

ANicholas Cain Construction
We purchased a home that had been vacant for several years.  Upon the review of the home inspection report, we knew we needed a licensed contractor to complete the repairs.  The previous owner removed a load bearing wall without properly reinforcing the remaining ceiling.  Nicholas Cain was able to work with a structural engineer to get the ceiling reinforced and brought back into code.  The other major issue on the home inspection report was water intrusion based on a poor roofing job.  Nicholas Cain and his crew were able to repair the roof and find and repair ALL of the water damage to the house - not just those spots identified in the report.  We also had NC2 remove a glass block window and tile a bathroom.  They also removed a wood burning fireplace (and it's chimney) replacing it with a ventless gas fireplace.  I would like to recommend Nicholas Cain Construction as they provided quality repair in a timely manner, were very professional, and reasonably priced.

ASpringhill Builders LLC
After meeting with an interior decorator and getting architectural drawings, we received three bids. One company I worked with before, Springhill and the other company I found out about on Anjieslist.com. Springhill and another company were close on pricing but after meeting Tim Lee, the owner, we chose them. Although we had drawings, the details of the project were not 100% thought out by the architect, and we had many unknowns as we started. Tim worked with us right from the beginning going to multiple meetings with the architects and structural engineers. We had to modify the plans a few times due the the architects incomplete plans. Once we had the plans together and they answered all of Tim's questions the job proceeded smoothly. Tim was very patient with us as we had an interior designer helping us and making changes along the way. Tim was always there to assist us with questions, and when we made changes midstream, Tim always did his best to accommodate. Because of our changes and custom work we added to the job, our price went over the original estimate. I feel that Tim was very fair on his pricing, even though we were at his mercy. Tim saw the job through to completion and when we had a small punch list at the end he followed through on everything. Not only did they do a fantastic job, but they were all a pleasure to work with.
