Recent Review: In a phrase, TOTALLY PROFESSIONAL, TOTALLY FABULOUS! Landscape designer, Jerry, consulted with me on installing a patio to deal with an awkward, poorly installed walkway at the front of my newly purchased home. The original loose rock walk was ugly and dangerous. His suggestions enhanced the design I had in mind, and he never tried to impose his ideas over mine. The end result is far better than I had imagined. Earth Effects removed the old, ill chosen rock walkway, weeds and plants; leveled the area, laid down the base, installed the pavers and maintained a slope to improve drainage at the front of my house. There was an awkward angle on the driveway which was going to make it difficult to tie the walkway and driveway together. Jerry came up with a brilliant solution which gives a big punch of "Wow" to the patio. He also made suggestions on how to tweak my current landscape plantings to better tie into the new hardscape. He suggested we complete the project then, over time, add plantings to enhance the design and structure of my house while staying within my budget for initial construction. I will follow his advice because he has earned my faith in his design skills. In the "Above and Beyond Expectations" category, Jerry helped with some problem areas which had nothing to do with the patio installation. He is a genuine, good-hearted person whose honesty is a part of his character. I would trust him with the keys to my house or car without a moment's hesitation. To summarize the project: A very reasonable deposit was paid and work began Wednesday afternoon. By 3:00 p.m. on Friday, it was completed to my satisfaction and beyond. Earth Effects' Jerry and Pasqual were courteous and professional at all times. Jerry went above and beyond my expectations for a landscape company in creating a workable design, working on the agreed schedule and budget, maintaining excellent communication and making a unique and beautiful entry area for my home. If you need to find a landscape professional who is truly professional, call Earth Effects and talk to Jerry.
