Dry First
Recent Review: Our nightmare started in December of 2014 when we arrived at our vacation home in Florida to extensive water damage and mold.  Jerry Davis and his Dry First team came in as soon as we discovered the damage to assess and dry out our home.  Before any payment what-so-ever, Dry First arranged to have the plumbing issues repaired and secured the house while we waited on the insurance company to release funds to start the work.  It took our insurance carrier 3 months to concede that we had a valid claim. Jerry agreed to return our home to the pre-water damage state at a price equal to the insurance proceeds. Again, we had not paid him a dime as yet. Once the insurance company began to release the funds and the work actually began, we discovered that the mold was much worse than we originally thought.  Jerry assured us that he would do what he said at the cost he had promised even though the work would be more than originally thought. Going through an event like this is not fun for anyone and there are always frustrations along the way, especially since we live in another state and the damage was extensive throughout the home. That said, Dry First, Jerry and his team did a great job on our home.  We couldn't be happier with the results.  The entire team was professional, courteous and really listened to our concerns.  We honestly love our home now more than we did before the event and Dry First did the work for the price they promised!   I would not want to live through that again; but, if it happened again I would definitely call Dry First!

Servpro of South Brevard
Recent Review: We were having a center island installed in the kitchen. The installer accidentally hit and broke the fire sprinkler. Called Servpro and with in 65 minutes they were onsight inspecting the damage and assessing the best procedure to remove and dry several rooms. There were six workmen and a foreman. They quickly suctioned water, removed wet items, tested all areas for damage and proceeded to spend several hours preparing the areas for the drying process. The foreman made sure we were aware of the procedure and kept us appraised of the need for returns to check in. They made what was a horrible experience a little less painful. I would highly suggest the use of these knowledgeable people.

FServpro of South Brevard
Case Description: This is the complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau Sherri from ServPro fraudulently presented John Taormina(a hearing-impaired client)with a bill he did not owe. On 2/12/14, John Taormina had water damage to his condo. Immediately he contacted me, Liz Rebadow(power of attorney) to handle everything for him. John is hearing impaired and cannot talk on the phone at all and he also needs my assistance for clarification when dealing with and quot;situationsand quot; face to face. I spoke with Servpro and they assigned Sherri to John's case and I told her I would be the contact person for his case. On 3/21/14 at 1pm ServPro staff took all of John's belongings out of the POD that they put it in so the insurance adjuster could examine them. At this time Sherri was present and I showed her damage to the sofa set that Serve pro had done either before, during,or while it was in the pod(they were walking all over it to retrieve boxes in pod as well as laid mirrors and metal objects while in home) We told all of them to be careful with John's belongings and especially the sofa as it was in mint condition before they arrived. They also scratched both the entertainment center and the dishwasher but insurance covered them as they had been water damaged as well. Sherri assured me servpro would take care of John's sofa set and she took it back to servpro instead of putting it back in the pod. About a week or two later Sherri told me the set was not repairable but assured me ServePro would take care of John. In mid april I went out of town for 5 weeks and left everything in order for John to have his place completed. All John needed to do is text Sherri and she would make sure Servpro brought back his belongings as he was anxious to get back in his home. Being hearing impaired and out of his element he was uncomfortable living elsewhere(ie...he didn't have his flashing lights doorbell etc.), so he wanted to get back to his normalcy ASAP. On April 30, 2014, Sherri had John sign a paper saying they were not responsible for any renumeration or damages for John. She brought John a (fradulent) bill for the purported balance that UPC(John's insurance co.) did not pay to ServPro and told John he was responsible to pay it. She then told him if he signed the paper that they would accept the waiver of damages in place of him paying the bill they presented him. John told Sherri he was not comfortable signing that paper until he had a chance to speak with me. Sherri knew I was unavailable to speak with and that John needed to his life back. She told him she would not deliver his belongings unless he either signed the paper or paid the bill. Under extreme duress, John signed the waiver so he would be able to get his life back. After I returned I spoke with Jill Adams from UPC and she told me that John was not responsible for ANY of ServPro's bill as ServPro had revised the bill and sent them a new bill and UPC paid that bill in full. I spoke with Sherri about this and she texted me(I have the text to prove this) ...I quote from Sherri's text...and quot;We only signed that agreement with his insurance company because we made the agreement with John. He chose not to pay the additional money, so we signed the agreement with the insurance company. We were not required to sign that, we only signed as a deal made with John.and quot; unquote. That statement is a downright lie as I spoke with the insurance company and they said the revised bill was signed on April 3, 2014 and Sherri brought the bill(which John did NOT owe at that time) on April 30,2014. Sherri had them sign their waiver of damages under false pretenses and therefore it should not be valid. ServPro has stood by Sherri lies and has not offered any renumeration for John's sofa set

AArmstrong's Cleaning & Restoration Services
When my toilet water supply line broke and flooded my house with over 1000 gallons of water, I checked Angie's list for a reputable service. I chose Armstrong's Cleaning and Restoration Services. Phil and Adam came with their Emergency water damage mitigation equipment and kept my disaster from being catastrophic. Armstrongs had the air movers, dehumidifiers, and knowledgeable personnel to dry out my house quickly. They also met onsite with the insurance adjuster to explain what happened and described the extent of the flood. They also neatly removed the damaged drywall and gave me excellent advice. I also received a 10 percent discount for being on Angies list! My insurance adjuster confirmed that their bill was inline with the insurance estimates so I believe I received quality work at a fair price.
