Monster Grass and Turf
Recent Review: *** READ TO THE END AND CHECK OUT PICTURES I POSTED*** I hired Monster Grass about two years ago to install turf in two different sections of my house and as of this past June 8th I was still having to deal with them coming back attempting to fix issues they had created during the original installation. Hiring them was by far the worst decision I made regarding a home improvement project. From the first call all the way to the date I gave them payment for the deposit on the first section of the yard, we had no issues. They showed hungriness and urgency to close the deal and were very attentive to my calls and correspondence, then problems started. Responses to my calls, emails and texts got to a holt. Then the installation date for the first section came and a little past noon that same day I got a call telling me the work was completed and if they could pass by the following morning to collect the balance on the job. I was truly pleased and surprised since everything seemed to have gone very smoothly, until I got home.  The seams between the sections of turf were extremely noticeable and obvious, the perimeter against the fence and deck was sunken in, among other issues. All in all, I could see that no attention to detail and very little effort was put on to what they had done. After waiting sometime to get an update on when my repairs were going to happen I decided to move forward with the second section of my yard. I figured there would be an incentive for them to come back to do this new area and fix the issues on the other side. This time around I stayed home to supervise, since there is no accountable supervision or work detail at Monster Grass, starting from the owner and the three different "forman / supervisors" that were sent to my home. None of them were respected and had very little knowledge regarding the work they were set to execute, they relayed and blamed everything on their own installers. Besides that they measured this second area wrong and they were short on material, which I had to wait weeks for them to come back to finish it, once the area was completed I was happy with it and I made the mistake of paying them in full without asking them to complete the repairs on the first section. Then, during the following months they attempted to repair the area, several attempts were made, some made no difference, some made it worst (see pictures) no real urgency or interest was shown to the point that the owner would blame it on me, telling his employee I was not the average client and I was demanding excellence, making it sound as though he was doing me a favor by continuing to come to my house in order to do repairs. What they don't get is, I paid what they asked me in full, but for a brand new and professionally installed artificial turf, not for a patched and repaired job since day one, so having to come back over and over to fix the same issues they created consequence of their lack of professionalism, craftsmanship and supervision, is not a favor to me, they should be appreciative they were given the chance to make it right several times. Then on their latest attempt to complete the job this past June 8th, which included tearing up the area of the yard that was good in order to get color matching turf to replace an area of the other side that they had messed up, and then reinstall a different shade of the same turf over the complete area that originally was good. This was my second worst decision on this project, I shouldn't had allowed it, now I have both areas messed up and they disappeared. I've been trying to reach out to them via phone and email and nothing. I have called the owner direct several times and I got notified that he has blocked my number not to get my calls, a clear sign they don't care and have no interest in completing the job properly. This situation forced me to do some research and learning on my own. I contacted others in the trade as well as the turf manufacturer in California, not to my surprise, it had a disappointing outcome. The turf manufacturer reviewed my pictures (SEE PICTURES POSTED) and acknowledged the issues are installation related and they are voided by the warranty. They suggested to reach out back to the installer and have them fix the issues. WARNING, during my research I learned about three ex-Monster Grass clients that had similar issues, going as far as seeking legal action against Monster Grass. Do your homework and educate yourself on the basic knowledge about what you are trying to achieve so you can better detect whether the company you are about to hire is as unprofessional and dishonest such as this one and what all they care about is the next job not the job they already got money for and have to finish it promptly and professionally. Best of luck!

Suncoast Tile & Flooring
Recent Review: I can't say enough about how well SunCoast treated all facets of the project. From quote through execution, the work was done professionally timely and nearly 100%accurate. Frank and Nick and the tile crew were just simply incredible to work with. All very honest hard working people that only wanted to ensure the work would be done to my expectations. All accommodations were made when needed and I very much appreciated the flexibility and insight. I was very pleased with how the work progressed and how much the owner made sure I was happy with all details of the project. I would only recommend that their next lucky customer pay close attention to how the details of your project are translated from communication to execution. This of course applies to all companies big and small. I would highly recommend SunCoast to family and friends. It was a pleasure working with them from start to finish. To achieve perfection I would recommend that SunCoast get closer to 100% of what the finer yet expressed details are. Great company with high quality and superior customer service.

AFlorida Fake Grass
My wife Lisa and I recently purchased a home in the Deerfield Beach Cove neighborhood and underwent a complete home remodel, spending time outside is important to us so it was important for us to have it perfect, after lots of planning and designing we had three areas that needed attention but didn’t want the maintenance of real grass, a friend recommended Rodrigo and his team to install fake grass and we loved the idea. I made a call to Florida Fake Grass Company and Rodrigo came to our home and really took time to understand exactly what our goals were of how we wanted our backyard to feel, his knowledge of his products and his industry really put us at ease and we felt instantly comfortable working with him, he spent time walking our property and explaining the process and timescale of the project in detail, then he sat down with us and helped us pick out the best type of grass for our particular needs. After we decided that we would use Florida Fake Grass Company we called Rodrigo to schedule an installation date and he managed to fit us in at a very convenient date for us, his team (along with Rodrigo) showed up at the exact day and time we expected and worked tirelessly for the entire time, Jeff and the rest of the guys were extremely professional, very respectful, they clearly knew what they were doing and are very skilled craftsmen. We are absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out, it complements the pool area and the rest of the yard perfectly, feels great under foot and everyone that has seen it, loves it. Anybody thinking of installing fake grass should definitely give Rodrigo and Florida Fake Grass Company a call, we highly recommend them....thanks guys we are loving our grass.

Review addendum 10/13/2015: We have contacted Alternascape SEVERAL times regarding an installation problem that has yet to be corrected (6 months after "completion"). There are a couple of areas of the 700 Sq.Ft. of artificial turf installed, which, with our limited knowledge, appear to be a problem with defective materials. There are areas where the artificial turf will not stand up as it is supposed to and the company was notified of this right after completion on the installation of the artificial turf. We have talked with everyone from Customer Care to one of the owners of Alternascape. They have told us that the problem is a result of the area being a high traffic area. Two adults and two 15 pound dogs live here, that's the "traffic". If the "EasyTurf" product can not stand up this minimal amount of traffic, I would suggest that you think twice before investing the high cost of having Alternascape install artificialturf in your yard. According to Altenascape, there is a 15-year installation warranty and a 15-year product warranty. Our investment was just under $10,000.00 for the 700 square feet installed. Not an inexpensive project. As of the last email correspondence (Approx. a month ago), Alternascape has dismissed our problem with no further follow-up. Can we live with it? Absolutely! Should we have to live with inferior product for the amount we paid? No! Yes, our yard was transformed, but not to the level promised.  As of this writing (10/13/2015) I reserve the right to amend our review should Alternascape live up to their end of the contract and pursue a satisfactory correcttion. The review (below) of the lawn job done at our home was written immediately after completion. With hindsight, I see that I should have waited to write a review after the "dust settled" and we were able to see the product in use. The above is an addendum to our original review of the job "completed" in April 2015. This review was written in April 2015 right after installation: Our yard is situated such that in the eleven years we have been living here, growing grass in the back of our home has been close to impossible.  We have two dogs and wanted to be able to let them have a space as well as provide us with a great space.  Based on that, we decided to have artificial turf installed in the 700 square foot area behind the house and partially down each side. After some research, we decided to have this project done by AlternaScapes.  There are many artificial turf products on the market but only one of true quality.   AlternaScapes is the only company using this product.  As a matter of fact, it is so good, it is the only product they install.  Measured, discussed, priced and scheduled and we were ready to begin. In that the product speaks for itself, the primary purpose of this review is to highlight the installation process and final product.  The onsite crew, which consisted of  Bo Birmingham, Andrew Harper and Jose` Diaz is what makes this company.  Marketing AlternaScapes artificial turf can be done by anyone.  As I said, it sells itself.  The installation, which by the way took three days, is the true measure of this company.  Once the project was started, I knew we made the right choice.  Our onsite crew was dedicated to providing excellence in product installation and superb customer service and hit the mark with five stars.  Their knowledge, experience and hard work (I mean HARD work) gave us a yard we never thought we could have.   We are thoroughly pleased with the transformation to our yard.  I would highly recommend AlternaScapes to anyone deciding to have artificial turf installed.  I would also briefly mention that this company's management should also be acknowledged for being able to recognize outstanding individuals during their hiring process for their onsite teams.  It is these highly dedicated individuals that are the face, reputation and future of AlternaScapes.  I would also suggest that you check out their website at www.justlikegrass.com.

This company is great! They did what they said they would, and more. Super friendly crew and the owner is actively on jobs. Really was a great experience. We got quotes from a few companies before deciding. They weren't the cheapest nor the most, fairly priced. Would 100% recommend Rodrigo and his company to anyone looking for synthetic grass!
