Recent Review: On the morning of 10/22/13, around 7:00 am, I went to my garage to exercise.  I stopped to check a recently-repaired leak in the roof (because it had rained the day before), and the area with the leak was fine, but I noticed water on another part of the garage floor.  Upon closer inspection it wasn't so much water and a small river flowing peacefully away from thje house and toward the garage door.  I traced the flow to its source and my water heater was leaking from the top pipe joint, gurgling merrily down the side, and overflowing the drip pan onto the floor, forming the river. I calmly freaked out and turned the valve on the pipe feeding the water heater to shut off the water supply.  The valve closed 3/4 of the way and broke off in my hand.  My alarm was not lessened by this turn of events.  I turned off the breaker to the water heater, since I felt no compulsion to send a river of hot water our the door; a cold water river would have to do. I went inside and called Maurici plumbing.  I have used them 5 times in the past and am embarrassed to see that this is only my second review.  My bad.  I called around 7:15 am and left a message with their answering service about the issue.  At 7:39 am, I received a call back from the office clarifying the problem.  They said they would have someone in my area soon, and to expect a call.  I notified my job that I would be late and settled in to wait.  While I waited, I looked on the Internet for how expensive replacing the water heater would be. Right at 9:00 am or so, John from Maurici knocked on my door and we looked at the water heater/fountain in question.  John confirmed, as I thought, it could not be saved.  My research said replacing the water heater should run between $700-800.  John's quote was $760, exactly as forecast.  He said that he had the tank on the truck, but needed to get a new valve and such back at the office.  I stopped him and asked if I could upgrade my water heater to a 50 gallon tank (currently a 40 gallon tank).  I had been meaning to look into that for a long while.  He happily showed me the price for that ($820, or $60 more), whih I accepted.  I also told him I had an issue with my master bathroom toilet and would like for him to look at that as well (so I could save the extra trip charge); John agreed, no problem. John left to get the parts and returned about an hour or so later (10:30 am or so).  He replaced the tank, building new pipes because the larger tank took up more room.  When he was done, he looked at my toilet, which needed its flushing mechanism rebuilt.  All told: water heater, toilet repair, trip charge and $20 coupon from the last service came to $904.  I found the problem around 7:00 am, and all the work was done by noon.  Hard to complain about that! Since the work, I have had plenty of hot water and a perfectly flushing toilet (for the first time in over a year).  I'm a big fan of Maurici plumbing!

Recent Review: Purchased toilet repair. Service person was professional in all ways. Only took minutes to correct toilet problem - not flushing correctly. I also asked about a leaking outside faucet and Carl was generous enough to offer solution which I quickly did myself.

We had a toilet stoppage that happened after hours. John arrived and quickly assessed the situation. After giving me options, and my decision was made, he completed the work in a jiffy. He quoted me on an ADA replacement toilet for one bathroom, at a fair price. Gulfview will be hearing back from us to get this done, should we decide to go this route. If you are in Pinellas County and need plumbing work, don't waste your time calling anyone else.

Came out the same day I called to fix a leaking up stairs toilet piping - leaking down through the floor to ceiling on first floor level. Did a great job - problem solved. Had him install a new sink faucet last year - again a great job. You should hire him for plumbing work.

Vince was very professional and took the time to show me some things to be aware of for possible future repairs. I have used Olin before and they are very courteous and respectful to their customers. Judy in the office is very pleasant and they are great about calling to let you know when the technician is on their way.

I had a new toilet installed at the end of last year and it was not anchored down properly. As a result it rocked and didn't sit flush to the floor. Well, all that rocking and instability caused the seal to start leaking. In fact the seal was shot because of the improper install. I called this plumber because of their great reviews. I was not disappointed. Victor came out and really had his work cut out for him. It was a shoddy installation from the get-go and he had to fix it. He was super nice and did a wonderful job. He is the nicest guy and I would not hesitate to call them again. I only talked to Chuck on the phone but he seems very nice and helpful also. It took Victor a couple of hours to fix the problem and that included a run to Home Depot as this new style toilet needed a different type of something that I can't remember. Anyway, the job was done, my toilet does not rock or leak and I am a happy camper.
