Home Master Air Inc
Recent Review: I have used this service for several years. I custom built my home about six years ago and used the service that did the initial install for a few years. After living in the home for a while, I decided I needed to zone one of my units to help the cooling in the secondary bedrooms. The initial service company did the install but I started having issues with the system shutting down with errors. I don’t recall how I found Home Master Air, but I did end up paying them to correct the install (the other company decided to take the easy install which did not work). I have had no problem since with the zoning. I also had them install an integrated whole house dehumidifier. I have three A/C units and I pay them to service twice a year. They also did a warranty replacement on the dehumidifier and a coil in one of the units. I highly recommend this company.

Del-Air Heating & Air Conditioning
Recent Review: I'd really like to rate Del-air higher but can't based on the first tech to service my unit.  Hence the fair on quality. If I'd not be persistant and follow up the unit would still be operating improperly. But the manager paid attention to my complaint and took the right actions.  Hence the A for responsiveness and professionalism. I'd called Del-Air due to past experiences that were positive.  I'd purchased a fixer upper home.  The A/C unit was replaced Sept 2012 and appeared to be a top of the line Trane with American Standard as the branding.  The unit didn't seem to dehumidify very well as the house always felt humid.  I assumed it was because of all the in and out by workman. I liked the A/C setup at the house I sold that Del-Air had replaced a few years ago.  Had Honeywell Touchscreen thermostat and setup to dehumidify. Worked great and wanted the same experience.  The Air Handler on the home I purchased is a variable speed unit able to run at lower speed to dehumidify.  I thought all I needed was the right thermostat and to figure out the problem with the unit per the flashing red LED. The first workman did inspection on unit, installed the thermostat, and installed a float switch.  There was a red LED blinking which I assumed was an error indicator.  The tech said the LED had no meaning and he reset the board to clear the LED.  There were no problems found.  There was no difference and the red LED came back on.  So I called Del-Air and asked for someone to come out and figure out why the thermostat isn't running in dehumidify mode.  I did request to speak to a manager because I felt the first tech really didn't understand how the thermostat or air handler worked. Nor took the time to figure out the red LED. The manager was fantastic.  Got back to me in reasonable time-frame. Assured me he'd send one of his best techs to figure out what is going on.  The tech that came out was obviously well trained.  He figured out the source of the red LED fault.  Looked in the manual and figured out it was a sensor inside the air handler.  He determined the air handler was not operating properly and needed a new sensor.  He showed me the crushed connector and how it caused the fault. He also figured out the thermostat was not operating in dehumidify mode because the air handler was not reconfigured to receive commands from the thermostat.  Essentially the new thermostat wasn't installed as requested.  He rewired and set jumpers.  The fan started running at low dehumidifying speed when above the humidity level set, and run full speed when humidity was below setting.  This is the right behavior.  Del-air ordered a replacement sensor.  Sent a tech out to replace the part.  Bingo. Wow what a difference.  This thing about freezes me out!!!  Perfect. Again thanks to the 2nd tech and the manager for addressing the issues and fixing the unit.

Gator Air Conditioning
Recent Review: Gator was very professional, on time, and innovative in resolving an unforeseen problem. Our old unit had been leaking and the wood foundation had deteriorated. Mike and his crew resolved the issue by replacing the floor with a plywood foundation. They recommended a more efficient heat pump unit with a dehumidifier which should reduce our utility bill - increased the cost somewhat, but should recover these extra costs in reduced bills. Will monitor and provide additional feedback if the unit does not perform to specifications. Overall, we were very satisfied with Mike and Gator Air.

Recent Review: It turned out that we had some mold in the carpet that I couldn't smell or see but was thriving on the humidity in the house. His recommendations were excellent and not things I knew about before.  He recommend that we re-paint the house and caulk the windows, get a special hepa vacuum cleaner, and a dehumidifier to keep humidity low in the house.  He also recommended a great air filter.  He also noted some old moisture damage on the base of some kitchen cabinets which I had a contractor cut out and get rid of.  He also tested the air and surfaces.  He was helpful and knowledgeable and has been available for questions that I have had.  I even contacted him about some other questions, not pertaining to his inspection, and he was always been helpful.

Mark also arranged for some damage control since I had serious water damage to my flooring and carpeting. I have large fans and dehumidifiers set up for a few days to prevent mold. I would definitely use Shamrock Plumbing again. Excellent service.

VERY HONEST AND FAIR PRICES. THEY HAD PUT IN THE WRONG THERMOSTAT AND IMMEDIATELY CAME BACK TO FIX THE PROBLEM. VERY COURTEOUS AND THEIR ESTIMATE WAS ABOUT 40% LOWER THAN ANOTHER COMPANY WE SPOKE WITH.
