Terrible!!! Denny quoted the job at what seemed a fair price until I realized how shoddy the work would be. I had numerous complaints and issues with the work that I brought to his attention in a text including pictures and in a phone call. He immediately defended the mess he left but finally agreed to come take a look after his vacation the next week. I reached out again via email the following week. He called but I was unable to get to my phone. I called him back right away but got voicemail. I phoned once again this morning at which time he made excuses and basically told me that I would have to fix all the flaws and finish the job myself. I could be wrong but honestly feel that $1,200 should be more than adequate payment for a finished handrail that my 97 year old mother will need to use to go up and down my front steps.

Everything went great! Eric (the owner) was on site every day. The railing is more beautiful and better made than the original one, and the paint on the house has held up very well. We would definitely hire Eric and his team again.

Easy. Called. Met on site a couple days later. Got an estimate. Price was ok. Schedule was acceptable. Had a quick turnaround since it was an insurance requirement. Got it done. Will use them again.

AMr. Handyman Serving Greater Jacksonville
Purchased a new condo for my elderly parent who needed handicap rails to help with balance. Husband thought he would be able to install and he had done ours in our home himself without any problems. Had difficulty locating studs and was getting false readings from our normally reliable stud finder, and the tile we have here was much thicker and somewhat uneven in texture. We would get a reading on the wall side of the shower for a handrail in the commode area, but it did not line up on the shower wall side. Spoke to a couple of tile installers, but was having a hard time finding some willing to even come out and look. Contacted Mr. Handyman with instructions not to send someone who would again just shrug and say, don't think I can do that shower and tub with the soft sandstone tiles. 2 companies had declined the job saying they did not want to be responsible for damaging the tiles and did not think what we had purchased would fit right or did not think they could find studs that would work. Mr. Handyman sent us a tile expert who not only found the studs right away, but was able to explain why we were getting a false reading--due to plumbing cut outs to accommodate pipes and fixtures. He looked at installation a different way and observed and measured how parent gets in/out. He showed us that using two smaller rails we had gotten in addition to a large one would actually work better than one large one when used in conjunction with the shower seat also now being used. Went through same painstaking measurements in bath #2 and rechecked matchup on the outside wall for stud location before drilling. Had to switch out drill bit a couple of times to be sure and not crack the tiles. The result was 2 evenly placed handrails in each of the commode areas and 2 perfect installations of grab bars in each of 2 different shower configurations from a gentleman who genuinely took pride in his work. We could not have been more pleased with the results.

AT & J Trim Inc
After a long and arduous new home build, on December 24, 2012, we closed on our new home knowing that we would have to bring in our own trim carpenter to clean up the mess the previous contractor had made. On December 28, 2012, we called in two different companies to assess our winding staircase as it was our first priority. Both companies were appalled at the condition of the stairs and agreed that the staircase was unstable, extremely poorly crafted, and out of code. After receiving these assessments, we hired T&J Trim, Inc. to tear out the staircase down to the framing and bring the staircase into code. This was a very difficult job as it is impossible for any carpenter to know what another builder has done and hidden beneath the surface. When T&J Trim, Inc. began the project, they found multiple major problems that had to be corrected. This staircase was a carpenter's nightmare! They took on each task with a professionalism that impressed and inspired me, and restored my confidence that there are still honest, professional carpenters with the integrity to go above and beyond what is acceptable and provide a quality product at fair prices. While I could go on and on providing adjectives to describe how pleased I am with the quality of work provided by T & J Trim, I believe the photos will tell the story, and I know T & J Trim would agree.

This review is a summary of several different projects that James completed for us over several years. We recently relocated out of the area and will miss having James who you can thoroughly trust. Over about 5 years James: painted our house, fixed rotted wood and squirrel damage, installed a bathtub and new bathroom counter top, ran wires through the wall for our entertainment system and wall mounted flat panel TV, rebuilt our porch railing and other like projects. James was always very polite in his interactions with us. He is meticulous about his work and clean-up. James was alone in our house several times and I never worried. I really can't say enough about him and happily referred him to several friends. As a self-employed small business owner James will have periods where he will be quite busy but I found I was very willing to wait a week or two for him to schedule our work. James prices are fair and his work superb.

The craftsmanship is fantastic. I love it. I am selling my house, so I needed the work done quickly and it needed to look good. They were very professional. Gave me an in home estimate, responded to all questions before the job. They arrived at the time they said they would, finished the work in a timely and professional manner. I would definitely hire again and recommend in the future. I was so happy that I passed their contact info to my realtor so they can add them to their vendor list.

ALawrence Earley Construction, Inc.
Larry did an unbelievable job. The railing is absolutely perfect. Larry is a general contractor and can do about anything. He came up with some good ideas on how to further improve the design. Larry always called every day he worked to let us know he was on his way. He brought all the equipment that was needed. Larry is very experienced--although the railing came with no instructions--he figured it out very quickly and did an outstanding job of installing it. Very professional. I sent pictures to the railing company (I purchased the vinyl railing separately and had it shipped to my house) and they were very impressed with the installation and how it came out. His pricing is competitive--not cheap but not overpriced. I am using him again for another project and highly recommend him.
