Removal and installation took approx. 6 days-some days were not full days. Materials were delivered several days before any activity began. Expect a lot of noise, and forget about your quiet time during the day-these guys work really hard! Sunday though was quiet, obviously they do take a day off. Old roof and soffits were off the first day. Bad wood was replaced the next . By the 4th day, new roof was complete and soffits/gables 90% done. Gutters, electrical, telephone, and fiber optic lines were dealt with carefully. At the end of each day, everything was picked up. If it wasn't for the red dumpster no one would have known men had been at work. When ALL was done, the tarps, laying on the ground to catch nails and such, were taken up, and a large flat magnet was used to collect all metals around the house. The dumpster parked in the driveway, to hold all refuse, was towed away. Later, in the mail, I received a Thank you card along with a $50.00 gift card to a local restaurant! I would, however, like to say that, Mr. Jim Marks, the first person I met from Roof Smart and drew up my contract, was a very pleasant man with whom I enjoyed conversing. He was an "A-1" sales representative of the company and with deep regret, learned much later, had passed away soon after I had met him.
