Recent Review: It went great. He was very responsive and offered helpful advice. When he hit a computer snag on the NEST product, he worked on it for some time rather than just walking away. Very personable and caring.

Recent Review: Overall, it was excellent.  The electrician, Dale, did a great job.  He frequently checked with me about how I wanted thing done or what my preferences were to make sure everything was to my liking.  He was efficient and knowledgeable.  He cleaned each work area as he went.  I highly recommend Gulf Coast Electric.  If there was a downside, I was not provided any cost information when I scheduled the appointment but Dale, the electrician, provided me the hourly rate while at my home.  Their costs were very reasonable and the bill arrived a couple of days after the work was completed.

Recent Review: The work was started on Monday and nearly completed by Thursday (the only things remaining after this time were small, such as putting pieces of the window blinds back on). Todd showed up on time the first day. I had worked with him on a project before and gave him access to the house to come and go as needed. I trusted him to do this and he did not disappoint. He was there working hard each day, sometimes as late as 9 PM and all of my belongings were as I had left them at the end of each day. I discussed with him up front the paint colors and types of paint I wanted and he purchased the paint for the job. His estimate on the amount of paint needed was spot on - when the job was finished he had very little left over so there was no waste in paint cost. He also supplied me with a small can of touch up paint. He took care to cover the furniture and floors with plastic and drop cloths as well as put all of the furniture back where it belonged. I only had to make minimal adjustments to replacing the furniture when he was finished just to make it suit my liking. I assisted him with moving one large piece of furniture and it hit the wall when we were moving it but he quickly patched and painted over the blemish on the wall. Todd was careful to do 2 coats of paint on the walls and he said he always does that, even if it is not a color change. His attention to detail was noticeable - there wasn't paint left on the floors or furniture and the walls and trim all had even lines and thick coats of paint. He even did some extra things such as caulk around doors and in the corners of walls to make the application smoother. When the job was going on and when it was over he asked for my feedback and was quick to correct anything I noticed.

Recent Review: My old house needed major upgrade and Jason and team managed to do all without any problem. They were effecient and polite and considerate. Jason gave me a detailed list of things to be done and a firm bid in writing and when I decided to change the plan he was very willing to change the plan and renegociate what would be included. They did most of the work right away and then came back and completed the work after I had the sheet rock done and new cabinets installed in the kitchen.

Recent Review: He does a good job.  He has done just about all the work for us.  We have to be careful with contractors because they quote one price but then it ends up being entirely different.  He is very thorough and gives a written estimate before he begins.  Anytime there is any deviation from that estimate, he comes and gives the option of whether we want it done or not.  He is really good about making sure that we are very well informed.  He is very professional.

Recent Review: We first contacted Chris and Wendy at Island View Builders because they had remodeled a bathroom for a friend and coworker who praised their work. On the first day we contacted them, Chris came to meet us and see our bathroom within hours. I think we agreed to a 5:30 p.m. appointment, and he was prompt. When he first saw the bathroom, which was totally functional but unattractive, he asked what we wanted. We really didn't know, having only looked around at Lowes and Home Depot and leaving uninspired. But we did want an attractive and functional bathroom that fit the character of our older, wood frame house, and we told him we hoped to get it for around $10,000 or less. Chris said he thought we could do that, that we should sit down with him and Wendy for design ideas, and we could pull it together and do it within 2 to 3 months. We made another appointment for Chris and Wendy to come by, and Wendy brought a few design ideas and got a sense of our taste and decor. Chris measured everything again, then the women went on a shopping trip to suppliers we would never have dreamed existed. Before you go shopping at Lowes or Home Depot, go shopping with Wendy first. And Wendy was able to track down anything they couldn't find at the suppliers. Wendy's attention to detail is awesome, and everything matches beautifully. From our first contact with Chris and Wendy, it took about two to two and a half months to get everthing together, including a custom built vanity. Once we had everthing, destruction of the old bathroom took one day, and istallation of everything new with a beautiful paint job took about nine working days -- they started on Monday of one week, and finished on Friday of the next. Everything is beautiful and functional beyond our expectations, they came in about $700 below their estimate, they were professional and prompt throughout the entire process, and they've urged us to call them if anything breaks or doesn't seem right. We will be calling them again, but it's more likely to be for our next remodeling project.

Installation went smoothly without problems.  The work included installing a vent in the roof and then connecting the vent to the bathroom fan in the attic.  I'll hire them again.  Recommended.

The electrical outlet was done well and we're happy with it. However, the exhaust fan light doesn't work, is not anchored to anything and they left a hole in my bathroom wall. They failed to show up a couple of times before they actually got here. We would never hire them again.
