Recent Review: I have used Scott's Lawn Service for approximately two years for regular applications of fertilizer and bug treatment.  So far, they have done a good job with this and are very responsive to occasional extra requests for bugs (i.e., red ants).  They charge $49 for this treatment that is done approximately 8 or 9 times per year.  You can stop their service at any time.  Several of my neighbors who used them have recently stopped their services, saying they can do it themselves for less money and that they have not been doing a good job.  My lawn continues to look good, so I have no problem with their regular maintenance service.  The only thing I do not like is that they try to "push" you into doing "extras" that, to me, are quite costly.  One time, after telling them I did not want a particular service on two different occasions, their service man showed up and performed it anyhow.  When I called to complain, they were quick to make an adjustment on the bill (not all of it, however).  Also, when someone from the office calls to try to schedule these extra services (spraying for grubs, aeration, etc.) and I say I don't want it, they question my decision.  I do not like being put on the spot as to why I do not wish to have a particular service.

Recent Review: The staff comes out and spread the organic treatment. I really like that there is not harsh chemicals in the treatment. They are a neat company. I also paid for a lawn aeration treatment. They really help improve my lawn.

Reviews for Lawn Aeration in Matlacha Isles

CSavATree's Southern Fairfield County
College grad doing summer work with little experience. Aeration done inconsistently on the long end, without going horizontally on the short end...ie. side to side. Poor coverage. Generally like Sav.ATree but disappointed on this occasion. You get what you pay for rings true.

It was fine. There were no additional charges. The service was average. The pricing was okay. It was entirely average. It was not terrific but not bad. If there's a fantastic Big Deal, I might use them again but for other than a Big Deal, I would not use them again.

On June 24, 2019, I telephoned TruGreen to inquire about services for my yard. On June 24, 2019, I agreed to the TruComplete Lawn Plan and paid $741.88 which was charged to my Discover Card. On June 24, 2019, I told the TruGreen clerk that I wanted to meet the technician on June 28, 2019 BEFORE any work was performed. After my conversations with the TruGreen Customer Service, I downloaded the TruGreen APP and once I logged onto the system, I noticed that a service (Aeration & Lime Service) was allegedly was performed WITHOUT my authorization. TruGreen charged $222 against the $741.88 I paid. On June 25, 2019, I telephoned Customer Service and complained about the unauthorized service and requested a 100% refund. On July 2, 2019, TruGreen did not refund me 100% of the $741.88 initial charge. TruGreen kept the $222.00 which was for the alleged Aeration & Lime Service I did not authorize. I wanted to speak with a technician before any work was done. Which means that TruGreen DOES NOT listen to their customers when setting up the service and TruGreen does not listen to their customers when requesting a refund.

They showed up when they said they would but the results were horrible.  Our yard was in bad shape and it still is.  Only now we have whole areas of plain dirt.  The plants do not look better. In fact they continue to get pests or diseases on them and no one from Trugreen ever checks on them.  Last year I had to have them come back and perform pest/disease control on some of our plants. This is not a company that you want to do business from.  They sure make sure they get their money but do not provides the services or results they proclaimed

I fired them. I got billed for more things that was being done without asking me. They barely spent any time in my yard. It’s half acre and that’s lot of lawn. Five minutes really doesn’t cover it. I know I spent couple of hundreds of dollars. They were responsive when I called them back because they didn’t do a good job. They didn’t have a set of schedule, they just showed up whenever. I hired another lawn care who I am happy with.
