Recent Review: This work was done on our rental house. My bride and I lived in the house from 1989 to 2008, and we now rent it to a very dear friend. We found David Meyer through Angie's List [based mostly on the reviews] and sent him an email (BTW: I only attempt to contact a contractor one time. That's it. If they don't respond to my message or email then they forfeit the opportunity to get my money.) David responded. We told David what we wanted to accomplish and told him we were open to suggestions on how best to reach that goal. He looked at the house, and then came back to us with a couple of options (with computer drawings which were done VERY nicely). It was clear he had researched the public property records on the house in an effort to minimize the chance for surprises which might affect the accuracy of his quotes. We were impressed with his professionalism. David presented us a simple, yet formal contract using hand-scribed signatures of all parties. No legalese, and no confusion about who-will-do-what (& when). We felt confident when we signed it. Other reviews on Angie's List speak highly of the courtesy and consideration displayed by those on David's crew. I can not: but my renter can because she experienced it every morning for the better part of two months. She absolutely loves these guys! Every time this subject comes up she looks me in the eye, smiles, and says "They're 7 o'clock people. They're there, they're working, and they keep the noise to a minimum." [Keep in mind, this addition on the house converted the 10' x 12' master bedroom into a 10' x 17' room, and it also added a 5' x 10' master bath. My dear tenant never stopped sleeping in the master bedroom! David's crew put up a plastic barricade to seperate living quarters from the construction zone.]  She also tells me that all of her discussions with these fellas involved her hearing "Yes, Ma'am," "No, Ma'am," "We'll do our best, Ma'am." etc. Very respectful. She's in her 40's, but she never took offense to how she was addressed by these fellas (some of whom are very close to her in age.). The end result is that my bride & I walked into our former bedroom and agreed that we should have done this 20 years ago! We've now hired David for other projects. David Meyer is not the least expensive contractor in the area, but I believe you get what you pay for. Good work is rarely cheap, and cheap work is rarely good.

Recent Review: He did a great job. The house is a rental and I was having it prepared for the next tenant. He picked up on several things I missed telling him about like the wood rot on the outside and electrical plate in the garage ceiling. There were a couple of small things I showed him I thought he included in the job like removing labels off the floor molding that but he said he didn't releazie I wanted him to take care of it. He suggested some goof off from Lowes that worked well. The other was a couple of places in the kitchen that needed a little touchup paint. Overall he did really professional and timely job.

Recent Review: Mick Connelly and his daughter Danielle were extremely professional. In addition they both were very easy going and easy to work with. The work was completed as promised and in the time that was promised. I had some additions and subtractions as we went along and Mick was more than happy to assist me in anything that I needed done. Mick arrived on time and sometimes work well past 6 or 7 in the evening. I would highly recommend this company for any work needed. And if I need additional work after the professional house inspection for sale I will not hesitate to call them.

1.  They retaped the main line ductwork, but very little of the feeder ductwork. 2. The hall bath and half bath were painted well.  It took several "mud" applications and coats to cover up the wallpaper seams.  3.  Master bedroom and master bath:  The remaining glued part of the wallpaper tended to bubble up when paint was applied.  It required several "mud" applications and coats to cover up the wallpaper seams and to eliminate the bubbles.  The last day the workers were here, they did not fix the obvious uneven mud and bubbles above the door leading into the master bath.  Also, they did not smooth out the mud strip over a long seam on the wall seen as you enter the master bath.  Although they did paint over these two defective areas once, they did not finish the job because they ran out of paint.   Except for these two defective areas, these two rooms were painted well.  They also lost a decorative fastener for one of the mirrors and broke one bathroom light.  4. They thought that the roof leaks came from rotted tops of the vent pipe boots so I bought rain collars for all 7 boots which they installed.  I, personally, covered up the ceiling stains in the hall bath and in the master bedroom with matching paint I had gotten from Home Depot.  Unfortunately, after they removed and replaced the badly stained portion of the garage ceiling, it rained and the repair was stained again.  They tried to repair the ceiling by removing the water softened part and pushing "mud" up into the 1-inch hole.  Again it rained and the stain returned, only larger.  They did not find the leak or fix the garage stain. 5. The rotten soffit was repaired, caulked, and painted well. They were to return about 7 days later, but delayed until the next Saturday afternoon.  Although they were to call if they could not come on Saturday afternoon. they neither called nor came!  [Several times during this project, they called to say they were on the way, but showed up 2 to 4 hours later.  Hence, I have wasted a lot of my time waiting for them  from July 19 to August 13.] On August 15, I called the company owner. I had to leave a voice mail telling him about my dissatisfaction with the project and invited him to see the situation for himself to determine if he felt something had to be fixed or not.  He never returned my call.
