Recent Review: The staff in the office were extremely helpful during the HOA process helping me get that approval so that they could submit my permit. The permit took a bit long but my city isnt known for being the easiest to deal with anyway! But what is important is that my project is now done and its beautiful my family and I can actually enjoy the outdoors no matter what the weather is doing. We are going to redo our driveway with pavers in about a month and we will be using PQS again because of our great experience. Thank you to all the staff

AWNINGS OF HOLLYWOOD INC
Recent Review: It was a busy time of year for awnings of Hollywood. It didn't take them a little action time to get to me and my project. However, it was well worth it. I highly recommend the products and service.

Recent Review: My new pergola is absolutely stunning!!! I found a picture of a Pergola online while looking for inspirational idea for my backyard, it just so happened that the picture I found was posted on Venetian Builders' website. I called them up, asked a bunch of questions about various options etc.. and they asked me a bunch of questions about my house, yard, plans, budget, etc... Once they had the information they needed, the woman on the phone even verified that the project I wanted to build would be allowed under the zoning of my house. I was given an appointment with Matt, one of their designers, the following week, since she told me they were super buys from the recent home show. Matt came out to our house, was polite and professional, and we got a complete plan put together, he even drew the project while he was here. I agreed that his plan what what we wanted, so we decided to go ahead on the spot and get the project started. Now, I did not expect quite so much paperwork, but once that was all done, Matt told us it would be a month or two to get the plans and permit approved by the city. The plans took a while to get approved, but once they were, Rob, who is Venetians Engineer, came out and took all of the measurements they needed to build the job. Another 2 weeks went by and then they called to schedule the installation. Our installer, Omar, was amazing. The process had been a little frustrating up to this point as there was a lot of waiting, but once Omar and his helper (His brother) show up, things really started to move quickly. The project was all pre-cut when they dropped it off, so it was basically like watching a puzzle come together. Omar was super polite the entire time and worked 10 hours a day to get the whole project up and done in 3 days!! Once the work was all completed, their manager, Augusto came out and inspected it with me to be sure I was happy with everything, there were a couple of little things that he noticed that I hadnt, so he fixed them on the spot. These guys are really great, my Pergola is beautiful and I am thrilled to have it in my backyard.

LANDSCAPE ART
Recent Review: We gave the deposit and immediately the problems started. Permit was not filled out appropriately - forgot to ask for permit on Pergola. We thought that was an oversight, cld happen to anyone. Next thing they did not show up when they said and did not call. We started calling and finally 2 weeks late they started work. First thing on the list was to move a Strawberry Guava Tree to another spot in yard. Forman said they were not told to move tree - he was very curt with my daugher (I was on a conf call at that moment). As soon as I hung up, I went outside and had him call Shane to verify. At this point, they had already started hacking up the roots of the tree. Shane told him to move the tree, which obviously annoyed him. They then dug up tree and moved it, but it was so badly damaged that it died. Next day I went outside to observe and noticed that the design was not being followed. I spoke to the men laying the Travertine (no forman on site) and showed them my paperwork showing the design. They had never seen it. (No communication between Shane and subs.) They ripped up what they had done and re did it to the specifications. Finally patio work was done, we were told Pergola wld come next week. 3 weeks passed and no Pergola. We called and called. Appt was scheduled several times and no one showed up nor called. We kept calling. Finally, the men came to install Pergola. They worked for a couple of days putting it together and installing. I went outside to look and the Pergola was too far over to one side and was hanging over my house roof on one side, but not covering the new Patio on the other. They had not measured correctly but did not want to dig it up and start over. We started calling Shane again. Finally 3 weeks later he came out and had the Pergola dug up and moved off of our roof and over the patio, but Travertine had to be removed to dig up pergola and not been reinstalled. Shane kept calling and insisting on payment in full. We had inspector come out and it failed inspection. Pergola not installed to code - wld not hold up under high winds of hurricane. We called Landscape Art again -again no return call. At this point, we were almost 4 months into project. My husband called and fired them. We then had to have an architect draw up code design and have the Pergola dug up and installed to code and also attach straps to cross beams. And then had to refinish the patio where it had been torn up to move Pergola. I would never use this company for anything!!! Totally unreliable and unprofessional. Very frustrating experience and I just hope to spare someone else from going through this.

Recent Review: They've done a great job. He shows up when he says he's going to show up and does what he says he's going to do and that's that. That's what I like in a contractor. I know he was here in the summer because he was doing a little repair on that pergola that gives us fit. It requires maintenance. His price is the standard on major things.

AExotic Pavers
If you want any paver work done to your home then look no further. Marc and Marsha the Family owned company never ceases to amaze me. They just recently installed a custom Bbq and pergola along with a French pattern travertine. The travertine is high grade which they explained to me was all that they install from this vendor. They went above and beyond along with working between the rain drops. I could only hope to find another company so passionate about their job as you through Angie's List.

AEarthworks Landscape
I  contacted Larry Dieterich of Earthworks Landscaping regarding landscaping around my pool enclosure.  It was just so worn and tired looking. Larry responded and came out that day to give me an estimate.  Larry is extremely personable and sooooo knowledgeable of the south florida landscape and this passion shows in his work.  The usual mundane, boring plants for the typical south florida landscape are not part of his resume ?his landscaping skills are amazing as is his communication with emails and phone calls detailing the  projects (phases), costs  and staying within budget. As stated above, my project was broken down to three phases. PHASE ONE was the landscaping around the pool and east side of my yard with red cedars for privacy.  Unfortunately a couple of cedars didn't make it due to my watering abilities or lack thereof.  i live in the very western part of Palm Beach County and do not have in ground irrigation system. The cedars will be replaced by Larry during the "rainy" season.  Phase  TWO consisted of building the pergola. This is the part that was amazing.  I mentioned to Larry that I wanted to change the front look of my normal south florida "ranch" home typical of homes built in the late "80's but i didn't want the expense of building a front porch, portico etc.   He emailed  me photos of a few ideas he had.  One looked like the exact replica of my house.  I was SOLD!! He knew exactly what i was talking about? The pergola built is about 32 ft long and about 12 ft in height with (8) 8x8 posts, with crossbeams. The pergola was subcontracted to a carpenter with Larry's assistance and supervision.  I also want to mention that Larry along with his usual "guys" consist of himself and two workers. They, including Larry do all the work, digging, planting etc.  He definitely loves  "playing in the dirt"? PHASE THREE consisted of completing the landscaping to compliment the pergola in the front and side yards. Again, I told him what is pleasing in my visual thoughts. In the front side yard next to the driveway,  he  planted a Japanese fern tree, assorted lilies (love lilies) removed and replanted a couple of my  plants, one to hide the a/c unit, the crabgrass or weeds was replaced with sod and mulch. In the front yard, the grass was replaced  with sod.  Closer to the pergola, most of the  existing plants were removed and replanted. He added a few plants that were so unusual,  at least to me.  I especially loved the"poor man's orchids".  I don't remember the scientific name but they bloom at the end with bright orange flowers. It was my favorite!!! that and the rain lilies. Various other plants were used and completed with mulch. This area was  bordered with rocks that I had saved for several years to eventually reuse.  He created a spectacular complimentary vision to the pergola. An existing Roebellini palm tree  and a huge bougainvillea were removed  and replanted to the side yard.  On the other side of the front yard he placed plants around a palm tree and filled in the areas in front of the house with  assorted plants, mulch and pine needles to complete the look.  Larry knew I loved bougainvilleas and i had a few of them. He replanted most of them to other places in the yard where they had a better visual effect. He planted another type of vine for the pergola.  It is still in the early stages of growth and i know  it will be absolutely beautiful.  Im sure I'm forgetting the many plantings/other things that were done. I will say this, I gave Larry a blank canvas and he created a masterpiece!!!!! Words can't describe the beauty of his work, his fair and reasonable rates, and the ease of working with a person whose knowledge and expertise in the field of horticulture for the sub tropics by far is a credit to his profession.
