Recent Review: This guy showed up when he said he would and he truly went the extra mile to provide a HIGH quality product that was above and beyond what we had contracted for. So much so that I actually was happy to give him more money for the job than what was quoted because if I need a handyman in the future I want him to be sure to fit me in to his schedule. He was GREAT!!!

Vinny's Handyman Service
Recent Review: First of all, he is really busy and can be absent-minded and sometimes he forgets he has talked to you.  He will come out and give you an estimate.  He will tell you exactly how long it's going to take, what it will involve, and how much it will cost.  He accepts cash or checks for payment and will give you a discount if you pay by cash.  He has a hard time remembering names, but he will remember your address so when you call, you tell him the address and then he knows who you are.  I thought that the first time I met him and he came to give me an estimate that there was no way he could do the work in the amount of time with the small amount of money he was charging.  I had gotten other estimates and they were all at least 2-3x higher than Vinny.  So our first project was a new sub-floor.  When we got to pulling up the rotted kitchen floor, he found 5 more layers of flooring.  I followed him to Home Depot.  I paid for the wood for the sub-flooring, a box of nails, and went back to the mobile.  He installed it.  Floors were solid.  It took exactly 4 hours as he estimated it would and I paid him $150 for labor.  He works Monday through Saturdays and if there's a big emergency, he will come out on Sunday and not charge you any more than straight time.  He charges between $30-45/hour, depending on the job.  I will not use anyone else to work on my mobile home.  I have referred him to other neighbors and they all say that, despite his absent-mindedness, he does good work and at a reasonable rate.  He advertises in the local PennySaver in the Daytona area.  He is licensed and insured. He used to be an electrician until the company he worked for downsized.  Above all, he is fast, does exceptionally good work, and is reasonable.  You can have him come out to your house and estimate and if you don't have the money right away, you can call him back for the job when you are ready.  It's not a problem.  I've had horrendous problems with tradesmen coming out and expecting me to shell out money immediately and they get very irritated when I'm not ready.  Vinny is not like that.  He is personable and will work with you.  Much of the repairs that had to be made on my mobile home, had to be done in stages.  So he would come out when I had some money and work until we got to my cutoff and then we would schedule when he could come back to finish the project.  I had a long list of projects.  For example, one project was to install a range hood, and 5 new light fixtures.  They all had to be rewired (didn't know that ahead of time).  He figured 1-1/2 hours and charged me $45.  He rewired, used his wire, (saving me a  trip to the store), and put in all the light fixtures and it took him about an hour and 45 minutes.  He charged me for the initial 1-1/2 hours he quoted.  I highly recommend Vinny to everyone.
