Recent Review: They came out before the job was scheduled and went through the attic to make sure they would have all the equipment they needed. They were courteous and professional and were done in a few hours and our gas dryer works great.

85.00 is their standard service call. Knowledgeable serve technician. Excellent job on outside pipe. Did not have proper tools to repair fireplace so had to make a return trip - but I was not charged another service call. Did not properly test the gas fireplace. When I tried to operate it my entire house smelled like gas. Had they tested their repair I think this would have been quite obvious. I probably have a leak or the repair was not complete. My goal was to get my fireplace working. Placed a call to have serve tech return, have not received a return call. I thought hiring a "local" company was going to make the process easier, but they do alot of work across the bridge, so it was not conveneint for them to do a job nearby, or so it seemed to me. Will hire another company in the future. Update: Husband thinks that we have a cap on our chimney flue - which would explain all the gas smells...and he says they did return our call. But I still give overall experience a C.

Their advertisement says that they will smell good and they will show up on time and they kept that promise. We were very pleased and will use them again in the future.

BExpert Gas Plumbing Inc
First off it appears that any natural gas service call to a residential location in the Tampa, Fl area, is a minimum of 70.00 plus dollars. From there parts and the length of the service adds up accordingly. The original plan and schedule was to disconnect the gas line from an old oven, the morning of Wednesday, 16 July and return the next morning, Thursday, 17 July, to hook-up the new oven, The reason for the two day service schedule is because delivery of the new gas oven was by a third party. On 16 July, the third-party delivery crew arrived before the Expert Gas Plumbing serviceman. So it worked out, when the service tech arrived and in the span of 30 minutes or so disconnected the natural gas line from the old oven and connected it to the new oven. When finished with the installation the service tech advised that Expert Gas Plumbing could submit my energy rebate and forward the amount, when received. Or, I could submit the rebate form myself and receive the rebate direct. I asked the service tech for the direction for a self submission for the energy rebate.

They were excellent. The first vendor installed the incorrect size gas lines. Peoples Gas/Teco confirmed the correct pipe size, and Herrell did it right.

The estimate was for $1300. We are getting a pool and need a gas line for the pool heater. I know that we can run the gas line through the attic or dig a trench and run it through the ground. It is slightly less expensive if it goes through the attic since it is a direct path. We got 2 estimates. The guy from Expert Gas Plumbing was okay but the other person seemed a lot friendlier. I will use this company again in the future for a quote.

FThe Pampering Plumber
I used Pampering Plumber over a year ago. A year later, and for no apparent reason, I start receiving junk e-mail from the owner. Stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with plumbing (like advertising for concerts). Several former customers did a reply-to-all asking him to stop. The e-mails continue. I tried to stop it with my spam blocker, but each e-mail comes from a different e-mail address. I would not use them ever again, just on principle. UPDATE: Pampering Plumber is still sending out spam e-mails to FORMER customers (I stress FORMER). PLEASE stop!!!

CSLAUGHTER PLUMBING SERVICE
The process took 3 weeks. The original work leaked and required emergency repairs. The exterior work was not fully completed, with holes into the attic remaining open for access by rodents. I was told they were the only company licensed by Pinellas County and IRB to do gas line work. If so, it is very disappointing, to say the least. I thought the price was very high considering the work performed.

Never got to the installation process. In fact, never got them to come out after scheduling for an estimate THREE different times where they cancelled every time. Apparently one of their technicians was sick (understandable) and they re-scheduled. And then it happened again. And then the final time they just never showed up and when I called, they said, "oh, I thought someone called you". Nope. They don't seem to care about their customers, awful communication, and then when I questioned them on this, they basically shrugged their shoulders and said sorry without offering any kind of solution. NEVER would use or recommend them to anyone

I called and they offered someone to come out same day. Looking for a emergency shut off for a gas connection to put in a natural gas grill. Man arrive promptly and there's where it fell apart. He told me I needed a permit, and was offering a "check" to make sure there was gas at the site. (which I knew there was) which there was a charge. He never really answered my questions and I finally asked could he do it and how long would it take and would it be over $300 and he said more....he said the permit alone was $150 and it would be awhile......There was nothing in his conversation that made me think he knew what he was doing or he was taking me for a fool. I had already done some preliminary work on this and said No Thanks. I called TECO and they gave me a recommendation of Plummer who worked on gas connections. He is doing the job for $200 and will have it done it a hour. Insult to injury. I called and spoke to Customer Service Mger with Midway and she wasn't interested at all in the situation . She totally defended the actions of her employee. She obviously wasn't listening. She was non apologetic and is in the wrong business.
